Moving a loved one to Assisted Living can be a difficult decision, but from the moment our family toured Sunrise Marlboro with Gabby, we knew we had found the right place. The warmth and kindness of the staff, along with the welcoming atmosphere of the facility, made us feel completely at ease. Just a week later, my grandmother was settled into her beautiful suite, and it's been a truly wonderful experience ever since. In the nearly two months since she’s been there, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the exceptional care and attention she receives every single day. Ophelia & Emerson are amazing in managing her medications and work so closely with April, Carol, and our family to make sure that GG is always getting the best possible care. The entire care advisor team, including Yolanda, Jesula, Sam, and many other friendly faces (whose names I might not even know) are always available and so willing to help. It’s clear that they genuinely care about my grandmother’s well-being and are committed to helping her live her best life at Sunrise. We are incredibly grateful to the entire team for their dedication and compassion. Thank you for being an extension of our family and providing such thoughtful, loving care for our matriarch! We are truly thankful for all that you do.

I’m writing today to give a big and special shout-out to Matthew Devico at Sunrise of Marlboro. Matt is one of the activities personnel in the Reminiscence Unit where my mother is currently residing, and I can only say good things about Matt! He is patient, kind, energetic, artistic, and loving to all the residents. He communicates with the residents very clearly and warmly, and also listens to their needs and preferences. Matt has a wonderful, positive, and encouraging attitude. The arts and crafts projects that he does with the residents are very creative. When Matt plays songs and sing-alongs on the large screen TV, he dances around the room and gets everyone singing and moving! My mom truly adores Matt, which makes me very happy. Thank you, Matt!!

When it came time to have my dad get extra care we were won over by the sales person, Gabby, whose job doesn’t end there. She was always there to answer any questions. Meeting Tina the head of this facility was very helpful. She gave so much insight in what we could expect and helped me and my husband set in motion the elements we expected for his care. Michele the Head Nurse was simply the best with her understanding and patience ( especially with me hahaha). Audrey the dementia ward head was like a part of the family and always helping put my requests into motion. Now come to the care giver experts, the Aides, they were the gold of this place. The patience and care with love were the kind of care you’d want as well as need for your loved one. The time eventually came where we needed dad to be on hospice. We had a whole introduction with Dawn, Ed and Ryan step by step If you thought the care couldn’t get better well surprise, their care was exceptional and they worked alongside our Aides with such a great flow. Dad was cleaned and groomed and cared for like I wanted. He was fed a full meal with an Aide taking their time to make sure he ate. When it came time for more extensive care Hospice made him as comfortable as could be. This facility kept me posted at all times they became an extended family. Even from walking in the front door with Maria welcoming you. I’m sure I’m missing so much but the gist of my experience was amazing I highly would recommend this facility to all.

Moving my mother-in-law into Sunrise at Marlboro has been a wonderful experience for everyone in our family. Gabby and the entire staff are so warm and welcoming, and have made this transition so much easier and smoother than we could have imagined. She feels comfortable, and we know that she is being very well taken care of in her new home. We could not recommend Sunrise at Marlboro more.

Sunrise exceeded all or our expectations. Most important were the incredibly caring staff members - they truly care about the residents and their families. Kind and giving in every way - they're saints. The facility itself is great - bright, stimulating colors. Great activities for the residents and a wonderful porch outside where residents can get their fresh air. I can't say enough good things about Sunrise Marlboro and give it my highest recommendation.

I agree with first impressions Sunrise was welcoming and Gabby was very helpful. But I also was made promises that I would receive updates which started in the very beginning than stopped and was told they could not keep giving daily updates.. I never met the doctor of the facility and never spoke to in regards of medicating my love one. They are under staffed and cannot understand the staff in speaking with them. My love ones belonging were misplaced and other items in the room were not theirs. Dental care was horrible and bathing hygiene also. I never received hard copy of agreement or was it reviewed in its entireity about ever leaving the facility. Barbara and Michelle just handed me my love ones medications upon leaving and never reviewed with me how the bingo card worked and I asked to explain and was just told its all there. They literally called me the morning of taking my parent out saying their ready to leave at 9:00am all packed to go which I never gave a time in the day I was arriving it was like they had him on the door step waiting for me. I did ask at the time of admitting what if I should ever want to take my parent out and was just told we only ask for a 30 day notice never explained till after a stay of almost 2 months there would be a I guess what you can call a penalty for leaving prior to 30 days. Beautiful place not worth over $8000.00 a month.

First impression of Sunrise of Marlboro was welcoming and the greeters and staff continue to make us, as the family, feel welcomed at any time. Gabrielle Dolgin (Gabby) was extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the admittance procedure & level of care. We felt confident that when the time came we would choose Sunrise of Marlboro. We turned to Gabby a month later to guide us with the move from rehab to Sunrise of Marlboro. She made an overwhelming and emotional situation less stressful. Gabby was to put it simply, amazing. Sunrise of Marlboro staff, Barbara, Michele, and memory care floor staff are always available by cell or to stop in their office. They know the residents and it shows. Updates are given on my mother's adjustment, her daily involvement in the community. I am so satisfied that I chose Sunrise of Marlboro for my Mom to spend her last years at. The staff went out of their way to make her feel comfortable when she first came there (in the midst of Covid) and this continued throughout her 3 years there. When I went to visit her, I would usually find her in the dining area sitting with her new girlfriends playing Bingo or being entertained “ but always smiling! The facility reminded me of a hotel where I used to say to myself “ this is where I would want my kids to bring me to. Sunrise has a family aura to it, always going out of their way to make sure our family, in addition to my Mom, was welcome and informed on the latest events. The head administrator really cared for the people there, and this trickled down to his staff. Not once do I regret the decision I made for her to live at Sunrise in Marlboro. I highly recommend Sunrise of Marlboro to anyone that has a family member that they love dearly and want to make sure they will get the best care available. There is not one day where I regret my decision for her to reside there. Just to see her smiling and involved around other residents/staff made my day! Thank you to the entire Sunrise of Marlboro community for making my Mom feel so special!

Assisted Living, especially memory (dementia) care is about the staff caring and giving the highest quality of attention to their residents. The staff at Sunrise of Marlboro has provided for my wife (over the past 6+ months) the best in compassionate daily care I could have hoped for. Gabby from the start is there to help you manage to bring your family member into Sunrise - she is the go-to person when you need to find people to help you. Even after the move in she is always there for me. Maria and Silvia manage the front desk and are always there to help you. They wear many hats and do so much more than you see. Sunrise has helped me by having a dementia support group (Dara is wonderful). Having friendly and helpful administrative and managerial staff and nurses and care providers that have become part of my larger support group. I could not have asked for much more. I tell so many of the care staff that they polish their halos as if they are angels on earth. Many thanks to Barbara, Donna, Lynette, Hun (sp), Nicole, Noel, Laura, and all the others I missed. Barbara - manages the Reminiscent Memory care floor and works constantly to make sure all residents are properly cared for and safe. Has the patients of a Saint for giving me the time to talk about what I am going through as my wife’s condition progresses. Donna “ With a degree in Music therapy, has the singing voice of an angel and the patients of a Saint. I love listening to her voice. Nursing care is the best. Tammy, Patty, J, Chris, and others are always on top of how your family member is doing. Lynette, Nicole, Noel, Hun and so many more are hands-on managing and caring for all residents. It has not been easy for me but during my day I know my wife is in the best hands. Gives me peace of mind. R. Michael

Sunrise of Marlboro was a wonderful place for our mother. Sunrise helped us with every aspect and stage of our mother’s care. What first appealed to us on our initial visit was the quality of the staff. This initial impression held true once our mother joined the Sunrise community. The nursing staff, care takers, maintenance and management all did their jobs to ensure that our mother was well cared for. By the end of her life, our mother needed a very high level of care. This was provided by Sunrise. When we first looked at assisted living facilities, we found that not all would provide this level of care. We knew our mother’s illness would progress over time, and we wanted our mother to stay at one place. The high level of care provided by Sunrise allowed her to do this. Finally, we would like to add that there was a great deal of joy and laughter at Sunrise provided by a very caring staff.

Since my aunt was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014, this is the third home in which I have placed her, and I finally feel like this was the absolutely best decision I have made. You could not find a more caring staff. She is always clean, her hair done, they keep her and the rest of the patients busy and stimulated to the patient's best ability, and I completely trust that my aunt is receiving the best care. I would highly recommend Sunrise of Marlboro to care for your loved one.
