When you walk into Newberg it smells of baked goods. You are met with a friendly smile and care staff that really do care. The best part is walking through the dining room and looking at all of the homemade table toppers and smell of the kitchen. I would say its one of the top in the area.

This is a wonderful facility! The staff is caring and attentive, led by a fantastic Executive Director, Jennifer! They keep the building warm and welcoming, with a beautiful and cozy feel.

We are in one of the independent living cottages at Brookdale Newberg. We have been living here for 6 yrs 3 mos. The cottages are 2 bedroom 2 bath units with a long one car garage, and full kitchen. We find the cottage very comfortable. What our experience was before 2020 was 4-5 star. However things have gone downhill since then whether it be the pandemic or a combination of factors but.....the food quality has suffered; the maintenance around the cottages and main building has gone downhill and the rent has gone up over 33% since we moved in in 2016. These factors affect our overall rating and think that the 4 star is actually generous. The management for the most part are aware of the issues but have expressed many issues they have had in trying to address them. Corporates ridged policies of not allowing the use of local vendors seem to hamper local managements ability to fix some of the problems.

I have been at Brookdale for about 3 years. During this time, I have made many new friends. For me, the care and staff have been super. I have lived in Newberg for 50 yrs. so being close to family and friends is a plus.

I have worked at Brookdale Newberg Assisted living for 3 months now. I enjoy my job. Very clean family orientated place. If my parents needed to be in a assisted place I would only chose Brookdale. The staff are very helpful kind and very sympathetic with the residents. The residents in my eyes are very respected here and treated very well.

The Executive Director Jennifer is amazing! Extremely warm, welcoming, and caring! The whole building is absolutely beautiful, the food is amazing...the staff are so nice and friendly,and the residents are so happy!!! This is one of the BEST facility's that I have ever gotten the pleasure of visiting!!! Way to go Brookdale!

Brookdale Newberg is such a beautiful community and very well kept. They have so much to do for all the residents and offer numerous activities. The staff are so friendly and there is always someone around to answer questions or offer assistance to help. Everyone at Brookdale Newberg, from the folks at the front desk to the servers in the dining room to the maintenance experts go the extra mile and work together so well. It is an amazing option for senior citizens in the Newberg community.

I love the everything about Brookdale in newburg I’ve work in a lot of buildings and managed one with the current Ed. The whole building has warmth and an inviting atmosphere to it. When I first walked into the building I could feel the change. The resident are happy and love to chat everyone is welcoming and has such a warm home like feel it really is my second home.

If I could give a minus 5, I would. They treated my best friend extremely poorly. Yelling at her, saying she too fat wouldn't try to help herself, etc...... My friend was becoming more disabled by the day due to spinal cord lesions which was causing her paralysis in both arms and legs, and they even made her hit her head when changing her as she was bedridden by this time. The doctor on duty got her into the hospital.

I was able to meet many of the residents and staff when I sang during a vaccination of the community. The staff are so kind and caring. The people in the community are so wonderful and loving. Im scheduled to sing regularly at Brookdale Newberg. I get excited each time because of the love I give and get there. I highly recommend this facility.

The facility is supported and entrenched in Newbergs local community. The Churches, George Fox etc. are involved and part of the success to Brookdale. The staff have longevity and are very caring. You can feel the love in this place! Highly recommended for Independent and Assistance Care.

From the time of my initial contact in 2015, Residents are our family and that is why not only my hubby, but my mom both loved living at Brookdale and why I joined the family as an associate. The personal care and conversations demonstrate true care from the concierge to maintenance, bringing immediate needs to a caregiver, med tech, nurse and their family. Yes, there are many choices for Senior Assisted living, however, even up to when my hubby and moms life was done here on earth, the love and and care for them was above and beyond my families expectations. I would not want my family any other place.

Ive only spoken to the executive director and some of the staff, and I am so impressed with their level of commpassionate and genuine concern to help me with my needs. They are so eager to accommodate me in every need. I am so very excited about moving to Brookdale, and after living in my2 story 3 bedroom Townhouse for 17 years.....thats saying alot!!! My goal is to be completely moved in by Christmas. They have 3 it 4 different locations which are all within 20 minutes from me, and although I would love to stay in Newberg, However I wouldnt mind moving to one of the other beautiful locations. Last, the sheer level of care is exemplary!! I will post again once everything has progressed a bit further!! So excited to share my wonderful journey with you. Brookdale is a warm, clean, friendly community. The residents and staff are like family. They have chef prepared meals. They have staff that have worked there for 8+ years.

A Place For Mom is amazing and we appreciate everything, following through with agreements and being so helpful every moment along the way. This community is so beautiful and clean with amazing staff, which is small but they are always concerned, attentive, and on top of everything. My mom enjoys her meals but the menu does need special diet options too. Mom likes to play cards, go to the movies and is happy with all the activities. I would highly, absolutely recommend this commuinty.

My mother did so well at Brookdale. She got better and was able to move back home and we are so pleased with all the help we got from Brookdale they were really great. The community is nice looking, too. My mother had a few little issues with housekeeping, but nothing too serious to worry about. It's a clean community. The staff is friendly and kind and very helpful to my mother. Their response time to her was great, they responded to anything that she needed. She really enjoyed the food, and she gained five pounds while she was there. This was a great experience and we are very happy we are able to take her home now thanks to Brookdale. We would highly recommend them.

Our stay here was very short, unfortunately. However, they were very helpful for the days that she was here. When ever she needed anything, they were right on top of it! We couldn't have asked for more help. It was clean, and the staff was very friendly. I didn't have a single concern about the facility.
