I have been very impressed with Sunrise of Metairie. The facilities are clean and well maintained. We worked with LJ, Polly, and Matt, and they have all been very helpful and accommodating. All of my encounters so far with the staff, including Katrina, Cynthia, and Deidre, have been positive. I would highly recommend Sunrise of Metairie!

Wonderful staff, facility and activities. SO glad the mom was able to stay her for the last two years of her life. We really saw her re-blossom after she was surrounded by residents and staff who became her friends and second family!

Assisted living services are declining at Sunrise. If you need help with daily functions such as dressing, using the toilet or transport to/from activities, you may experience poor service and response time. Meals at Sunrise are taking an unreasonable time to serve. There are times when you wait 30-45 minutes in the dining room to get a meal. This would be unacceptable at any standard restaurant. An older resident is frustrated and tired and the meal is another experience to dread. On a more positive note, The facilities are in excellent condition. If you don't need much assistance in daily living, this may be an acceptable alternative for senior living. Overall, you will pay a premium for this facility and the quality of services appears to be on the decline.

I recently had the pleasure of touring Sunrise Assisted Living with L.J. and Matt, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. While my father's current needs required more acute care and he may not have been the perfect fit at the moment, I can confidently say that Sunrise Assisted Living would be at the top of my list for his future care. From the moment we arrived, L.J. and Matt made us feel welcomed and valued. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the facility and its amenities, taking the time to answer all of our questions and address any concerns we had. Their genuine compassion and dedication to providing excellent care were evident throughout the tour. The community itself was stunning. The facilities were well-maintained and had a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was clear that Sunrise Assisted Living prioritizes the comfort and well-being of its residents. The various living options provided a range of choices for seniors to live independently or with assistance, depending on their needs. Although my father's immediate needs required more acute care, I have no doubt that if his needs change in the future, Sunrise Assisted Living would be the ideal place for him. The professionalism, compassion, and dedication shown by L.J. and Matt left a lasting impression on me. I highly recommend Sunrise Assisted Living to anyone seeking an exceptional senior living community where their loved ones can thrive.

The facility is clean, well lit and well kept. The staff is polite, helpful and compassionate. My parents feel that this would definitely be the place to retire and would be very happy there. L.J. and Polly were so informative and compassionate on the tour of the community. The staff there respects the dignity of each person there, and everyone I encountered during my visit was kind and did their job well.

LJ, Katrina, Polly and the entire staff in the memory care level are excellent. They worked with me and ensured my husband had an easy transition. The communication was excellent to help him adjust to his new surroundings. This was not easy for him nor myself but they were so caring and compassionate that it helped me know that I had made the right decision on my husbands care.

Our tour of the facility was very nice. Great property, nice people, and our guide LJ was very knowledgeable of the building and the elder care in general. Matt, the director, even spoke to us at length, which we really appreciated. None of the other facilities we have looked at did the director didn't take the time to meet us, we really appreciated that! 10/10 would recommend.

The staff have been incredible to work with. LJ has gone above and beyond for us, as we make the decision to move a family member to memory care. He has showed us numerous units, always been available for my calls, texts- even on weekends! Polly came out to do an assessment. She was very patient and kind. The facility seemed nice but I barely noticed, LJ acted like I wasn't important, not only that when we were talking he trash talked every other facility around as well as their administrators, I just wanted to get out of there. He was looking at his phone all the time, dealing with text messages. He was also taking phone calls and leaving me for long periods of time i.e. "to give a paper to someone". Then he acted like a used car salesman "if you commit by Friday I'll knock $3000 off the fees, if by the end of the month $1000" pushing the discount several times during the conversation. Is this the way the residents are treated, "give me your monthly rent then disappear, you're a bother I have better things to do"?

I am beyond pleased with everything so far! I had many sleepless nights with lots of tears worrying about Dad going to any long term facility. He has been at Sunrise for four nights so far. The entire staff have been extremely loving to our family. We feel Dad is safe and he's being taken care of as we take care of him. He has Alzheimer's disease & needs assistance for everything and he is receiving it. I love the home feeling that the facility provides. It does not feel like a stuffy business but like a loving family. There is not a time I have visited that someone has not given me a tight squeeze and hug. The caregivers know we are concerned and have reassured us that they will take perfect care of Dad. I absolutely believe they will based on my exposure to them the environment and also watching each and every person on the memory care floor be taken care of with such love and care. Thank God for leading our family to Sunrise! We are so grateful for them!

The wonderful staff at Sunrise really treated mom like family and made her final years truly special and memorable! Now, anyone who knew mom, knew that she was a handful! Like an angry Honeybadger with the nervous energy of a squirrel. And when the clock struck noon and she started into her Jack Daniels, God help us all! But the executive director, Katrina made mom her personal project and really made the whole experience wonderful. After mom passed away, my siblings and I were extremely grateful for Katrina working with us on the damage bill. I would recommend Sunrise to anyone without hesitation!

I cant say enough about the excellent care my Mom received while there at Sunrise of Metairie. From the nurses to the care givers she always received compassionate care with the focus on promoting wellness whether in mind, body or spirit. In addition, their chef is a master of local cuisine preparing gumbos, shrimp poboys, red and beans and rice and so many more. Their activities director is the best at keeping them entertained even during the pandemic quarantine. I would highly recommend Sunrise to any family looking for a place for a loved one.

I must give every person that works there a very sincere Thank You. My 99 year old aunt lived there for 2 years. She was cared for by the nicest people that I have ever dealt with. These people truly want to help the residents. If you or a family member need to move into assisted living, this is the best place to be.

I toured this community for my mother, and her needs. Everything went well for the most part. From what I was shown the community appeared to be well maintained. The staff I met was friendly, and my questions were answered. The experience was a nice one overall.

It's expensive but I have no complaints. They only clean the rooms weekly which is standard; by the end of the seven days, cleaning is really needed. It is a beautiful place and everyone has been super friendly and tried to meet our needs and requests 100%. Lots of activities both onsite and "field trips." Food choices at meals. We are waiting on a smaller unit to become available as we are paying for a two bedroom which is more than is needed. Caretakers are very responsive. Nurse practitioner available onsite with appt, RN on staff. Transportation to appts offered, hair salon on site. Really no complaints at all.
