Bickford of Iowa City is a great place for your loved one. The building is a homelike setting and you feel at home walking through the doors. The staff is very courteous and truly cares for the residents. Sara the director has that warm caring attitude and listens to and cares and concerns. Big thumbs up!

Bickford of Iowa City is hands down one of the best Assisted Living facilities I've ever seen! The staff is so friendly and they really get to know their residents!! Chris the cook does a great job with the food and it always looks and smells so amazing!! Sara is doing a fantastic job as the director as well, im very impressed with the leadership she shows in and around her branch!

Our family member has regained a sense of routine and purpose with the incredible care and support she is receiving at Bickford. She is eating three meals a day, enjoying numerous daily activities and developing new friendships with other residents as well as the compassionate staff. She is engaged and happy and feels safe and secure in her surroundings. We couldn't be more grateful, thank you to everyone at Bickford of Iowa City.

Bickford of Iowa City is such a cozy place! It is smaller than other assisted livings which makes the care and relationships more personal. Staff really get to know their residents and their resident's families. Staff go above and beyond for residents, and each other.

5⭐ Bickford isnt just an Assisted Living facility but an actual family. My parents have never been happier. I watched staff all weekend flutter around like butterflies in sync and work together to take care of ALL their residents. I am eternally grateful that I no longer have to worry about whether or not my parents are being taken care of and respected the way they should be. Hands down, I would refer anyone to Bickford!

Small community - just 37 residents. One floor, very easy to get around. Large aviary. Lovely interior courtyard with raised garden beds.

We were very lucky when we brought mom here as she had been at a different Bickford in a different city that she really liked so her transition here has been great. Mom told me that she feels comfortable here and that the staff is friendly, supportive, plus they stay on top of things and they have notified me when they felt mom was not feeling well. They make sure they bring her to the dining room in her wheel chair so she can be with the other residents and she does take part in a few of the activities they offer as well. The grounds are nice and mom has the option of going outside should she want to.
