Nice facility with inconsistent service. My mother in law was a resident for 11 years. Some of the PAs are excellent, some are cold and uncaring. Nursing level staff is very good. Upper level management is unresponsive to calls and emails. Difficult to get a response when there is a problem requiring a response beyond what the PAs can provide. Frustrating to deal with from a family perspective.

Napolean, Assistant Director of Maintenance goes above and beyond. With living out of state it is so nerve racking not knowing if what my loved one is telling me is really happening or user error. Napolean is so sweet with her and never makes her feel like it was something she did wrong; like when the heat is on during the middle of the summer for example. He is kind and considerate. When family members asks for help he solves the issue immediately. That is what is needed to have peace of mind! Napolean is a huge blessing to our family and a huge asset to The Blake.

The Blake has the best Director of Maintenance Neapolian Williams. As soon as there is a problem in the facility he gets it done fast no questions asked. I just want everyone to recognize his had work and commitment to his job !!!

My parents moved from another state to the The Blake at Flowood six years ago. They began at zero level of care and now they’re in Memory Care. Mom & Dad were totally independent when they first moved to assisted living. They did their own laundry, dosed their own meds, went out to dinner, events & shopping. As their needs changed, the Blake offered extra help at every level. Since my parents went from from zero care needed to 100% assistance, from being independent to completely dependent, over the last 6+ years, I feel I know every aspect of Blake living. The food is good! Physical Therapy and the Salon are good. The staff listens to me and my siblings’ concerns and helps our parents have quality of life in their golden years.

My great-grandmother has lived at The Blake at Flowood for almost two years. She moved from Florida, and it gave her a whole new sense of living again. She has met so many friends, been strengthened through the physical therapy they provide and emotionally became so much more happier. This year has been so hard on so many through COVID, but she's felt so safe and secure through all the protection they provided. I am so grateful for the care staff and nurses. They have gone above and beyond!! So thankful we moved her to Mississippi to be near us.

My family members have been residents at the Flowood Blake Memory Care Unit for the last several years. The facility is well maintained and meal preparations excellent. The staff are attentive. Activities programs are varied and engaging for the residents. Issues brought to the attention of staff are promptly resolved. Chad Polk is a wonderfully caring, attentive and responsible Director.

My mother has been a resident at the Blake for 4 years. I cannot say enough about the personal care she has received from the staff. If I have ever had a question, it has been answered promptly by the staff, as well as the Director. Our family is greeted by name when we enter the facility. That says a lot about the personal caring of the staff. My mother receives physical therapy on site and they are AMAZING!

I have been here for two years and wouldn't want to be at any other facility in the area...checked them all out before moving to the Blake and have not regretted my decision. I have found the Admin staff to be caring and anxious to provide a top notch facility . The food is satisfactory...sometimes great and other times nof so. The service staff is friendly and helpful. They offer many and varied activities each day. The units are comfortable and roomy and well maintained. Over all its like living in a top quality hotel. I would recommend to anyone.

The staff is incredible. But the food proportions are ridiculous. The quality of the food prepared is in comparison to McDonald’s. Proportions are equivalent to feeding a 5 year old. My grandmother chose pizza and salad the first night I visited. Her pizza was literally 4 x 4
