Very slow with the call button response. The day shift nurses are always friendly, responsive, and on point. The night shift is a hit or miss. Meals should be eaten in the military style dining room. If eaten in your room, it will be ice cold. Therapy staff are excellent . It is a little intense, but the therapists talk you through each step and make you smile. which keeps you distracted. I highly recommend, even it's outpatient. **I would have rated a 5 but I had several issues with the night staff.**

I was in the rehab at this facility for 2 weeks. My Experience There was a good one. . Most every person there was Pleasant helpful Capable and caring. From the heads of the different departments to the nurses , Therapist, the kitchen help and even those who cleaned the rooms. They cared for my Wounds and got me moving on my feet with Regular Therapy Sessions. Their soups were always hot and flavorful. And they made sure you Had plenty to eat. The occasional not able to get with you immediately after ringing your button for the Nurse Happened , and a rare grumpy night nurse . But we thought it was within reason. Someone from my family was with me every day and we all agreed That they had chose the right place for me. We wrote down so many names of who were good to us. We wanted to mention them. But there were so many. Just know, I hope I don’t have to go back to any rehab. And that I stay well and get to stay home, but if I do, that is the place we would choose again. Thank you

The facility is fine, clean. Most of the nursing staff are very nice. Today my mother was allowed to pull her IV out which is now a new hospital trip on a freezing cold winter day. Why they have nurses that can set up IV give meds but can’t put an IV back in is ridiculous. Maybe look for another facility for your loved ones.

My mom is having a great experience at Village of East Harbor. She has lived in the independent living apartments and has recently moved into assisted living. She has adjusted well and is involved in the many activities provided. She also likes the food. The staff is great and very helpful from Don the director to Beth and Darcy who facilitate independent and assisted living. The tech aids are caring and attentive towards my mom and my family and I couldn’t be happier with the transition.

My Mom received care at this facility after her hip replacement. Super nice staff, clean facility, and good food. They have a nice area to view wild ducks and a large cage with small birds. Every time I visited my Mom there is something new that catches my attention! Very nice facility with great staff Bonus: They are very dog friendly here!

We have lived in the Independent Living Apartments in the Village of East Harbor for four years now. We can't imagine living any other place. Staff treat all residents as they would family. There are no grumpy employees and all are qualified, considerate and caring. We are kept busy with many fun activities, excursions and celebrations. We could not imagine living anywhere else and be able to feel so loved and joyous.

The staff was awesome, the food could have been better, I was there for ten days. The rehabilitation staff was awesome , came every day to see if I was ready for therapy and also helped me get ready , I broke my hip and was sent there for therapy. If the staff didn't answer your buzzer there's a very good reason. Great people, and they were there when I needed them mentally also, took care of my bandages every day and when I felt like I needed it to be looked at. Thank you

When walking in VofEH thats when I felt that this was a awesome place for people who need help. Everyone was helpful when you walked in the door. My better half stayed hall 4 the staff on the floor all worked there job . When we needed assistance they were able to help. When finished with the last patient. They were on the go. The kitchen staff was awesome and helped. The staff help taking the needed to the cafeteria or to the gym everyone work great thank you all .God bless you all

There was so much fear and anxiety within our family when we needed to put Papa in a nursing home but we have found much peace and comfort after placing him here. After having the 2nd leg amputated, and battling through months of illnesses and multiple hospitalizations, we thought we were going to loose him but it is a miracle that he is strong and thriving today because of the care he has received at the Village of East Harbor. Thank you to all the staff that has befriended him, from the Executive Director that came to welcome Papa, to the Admissions team that assured us there is a place for him to return to after multiple hospitalizations, the Physician and the DON's nursing team, especially the wound care nurses that have done miracles in healing his extensive wounds, to the nurses and CENAs on the floors that cares for him daily, the dining team that has nourished Papa back to health- he came in malnourished and now he has a belly, the therapy team that works with him to keep him from declining physically, the SW team that has helped in keeping his mood stable since his placement in the home, the EVS team that keeps the place clean, decorated beautifully and safe, the community life team that provides impressive and extensive activities to ensure optimal quality of life for all the elders, and to everyone that we may have failed to mention but has had a hand in his care, we are Truly Grateful. We will fondly remember this Christmas Day with Papa, thanks to ALL of you and the work you do every day. His outcome is just a small reflection of what makes you truly shine while serving the elders of our community. May each and every one of you find many moments to soak in all the peace, love and joy that this Christmas season has to offer! God Bless!

I don't have any experience here. I'm looking for a place for my husband long term. He is totally disabled completely dependent on care staff. We are not having really good experiences. I want him to be safe and well taken care of. Treated as a man Treated like family. Treated by people who care. Could this be the right place for him? M.S. has taken all but his mind he is 66 years young not old enough for this. Can't do it by myself at home or I would. Tell me what you think please. Be totally honest it's what we need. He is in his 3rd place this year. I have to drive an hour one way.

I would first like to say that I am aware that everybody has different experiences with facilities like this; however, I would like to say that my experience with The Villages of East Harbor was amazing. My mother was admitted to the rehabilitation unit for a brief stay. She had a decline in her physical and cognitive status over the past few years. She was then transferred to the skilled nursing unit. The care and compassion shown to both her and my family from the staff was incredible. They treated my mother with such care, compassion, and dignity throughout her stay. She unfortunately passed away at 91 years old. Both the staff and the hospice nurses were fantastic. They not only cared for my mother, but also cared for us and made her passing as easy on us as possible. They stayed in the room with us and cried with us when she passed. Interestingly, during the time my mother was there, my mother-in-law was also admitted for a short rehab stay. They treated her with such care as well. I would highly recommend The Villages of East Harbor.

My mother was admitted to the Village of East Harbor after hospitalization for pneumonia which left her very weak. After a short time in rehab it was determined that she probably would not improve. We were in frequent contact with the staff when it was recommended that she be moved to a long term bed due to her declining status. My mother was kept clean and comfortable and fed when she could not do it herself. The care that she received far exceeded our expectations. Nurse Jeannette was fantastic and stayed with us by her bedside during her last moments. Words can not describe how comforting the staff was. Nobody wants to put a loved one in a nursing home but if you have the need, don't hesitate to check out The Village of East Harbor.

I visited this facility and meet with the director Carolyn and marketing manager Sue. The facility is huge and well maintained. I was very impressed with the number of interesting activities and trips that they offer. The residents were happy and safe. It was a clear that Carolyn and Sue genuinely care for all there residents

I believe village of East harbor care facility in my opinion is a five-star or more facility I believe they give the best care they have wonderful administration it feels more like a home than just a facility if you were to choose your family to come to this place I believe in my opinion you would get wonderful care and happiness I also believe the director and the assistant director of nursing as well as all the other administration at village of East harbor they are fabulous respectful and great hearted

The biggest downside is that the staff is incredibly cold and uncaring. Specifically the manager Jeff- I didn’t appreciate how cold he was towards my grandmother after my grandfather passed. Christian was also not the nicest to my aunt when she visited.

My mother was here for only a short time directly from hospitalization, but I had nothing but good experiences with ALL the staff, from billing to actual caregivers. "Jean" in the rehabilitation section was not only terrifically helpful to my mother, myself and my family, but was extremely sympathetic after my mother's passing. I would most definitely recommend this facility and it's fantastic staff.

Understaffed! If you can't do for yourself forget it, you are full of sores left alone until the staff gets tired of hearing you call for help.
