When walking in VofEH thats when I felt that this was a awesome place for people who need help. Everyone was helpful when you walked in the door. My better half stayed hall 4 the staff on the floor all worked there job . When we needed assistance they were able to help. When finished with the last patient. They were on the go. The kitchen staff was awesome and helped. The staff help taking the needed to the cafeteria or to the gym everyone work great thank you all .God bless you all

There was so much fear and anxiety within our family when we needed to put Papa in a nursing home but we have found much peace and comfort after placing him here. After having the 2nd leg amputated, and battling through months of illnesses and multiple hospitalizations, we thought we were going to loose him but it is a miracle that he is strong and thriving today because of the care he has received at the Village of East Harbor. Thank you to all the staff that has befriended him, from the Executive Director that came to welcome Papa, to the Admissions team that assured us there is a place for him to return to after multiple hospitalizations, the Physician and the DON's nursing team, especially the wound care nurses that have done miracles in healing his extensive wounds, to the nurses and CENAs on the floors that cares for him daily, the dining team that has nourished Papa back to health- he came in malnourished and now he has a belly, the therapy team that works with him to keep him from declining physically, the SW team that has helped in keeping his mood stable since his placement in the home, the EVS team that keeps the place clean, decorated beautifully and safe, the community life team that provides impressive and extensive activities to ensure optimal quality of life for all the elders, and to everyone that we may have failed to mention but has had a hand in his care, we are Truly Grateful. We will fondly remember this Christmas Day with Papa, thanks to ALL of you and the work you do every day. His outcome is just a small reflection of what makes you truly shine while serving the elders of our community. May each and every one of you find many moments to soak in all the peace, love and joy that this Christmas season has to offer! God Bless!

I don't have any experience here. I'm looking for a place for my husband long term. He is totally disabled completely dependent on care staff. We are not having really good experiences. I want him to be safe and well taken care of. Treated as a man Treated like family. Treated by people who care. Could this be the right place for him? M.S. has taken all but his mind he is 66 years young not old enough for this. Can't do it by myself at home or I would. Tell me what you think please. Be totally honest it's what we need. He is in his 3rd place this year. I have to drive an hour one way.

I believe village of East harbor care facility in my opinion is a five-star or more facility I believe they give the best care they have wonderful administration it feels more like a home than just a facility if you were to choose your family to come to this place I believe in my opinion you would get wonderful care and happiness I also believe the director and the assistant director of nursing as well as all the other administration at village of East harbor they are fabulous respectful and great hearted

My mother was here after her surgery. They treated her very good, and told me that they took good care of her. They did however kept messing up her meals, so she did become frustrated with that.

The biggest downside is that the staff is incredibly cold and uncaring. Specifically the manager Jeff- I didn't appreciate how cold he was towards my grandmother after my grandfather passed. Christian was also not the nicest to my aunt when she visited.

I would first like to say that I am aware that everybody has different experiences with facilities like this; however, I would like to say that my experience with The Villages of East Harbor was amazing. My mother was admitted to the rehabilitation unit for a brief stay. She had a decline in her physical and cognitive status over the past few years. She was then transferred to the skilled nursing unit. The care and compassion shown to both her and my family from the staff was incredible. They treated my mother with such care, compassion, and dignity throughout her stay. She unfortunately passed away at 91 years old. Both the staff and the hospice nurses were fantastic. They not only cared for my mother, but also cared for us and made her passing as easy on us as possible. They stayed in the room with us and cried with us when she passed. Interestingly, during the time my mother was there, my mother-in-law was also admitted for a short rehab stay. They treated her with such care as well. I would highly recommend The Villages of East Harbor.

We have lived in the Independent Living Apartments in the Village of East Harbor for four years now. We can't imagine living any other place. Staff treat all residents as they would family. There are no grumpy employees and all are qualified, considerate and caring. We are kept busy with many fun activities, excursions and celebrations. We could not imagine living anywhere else and be able to feel so loved and joyous.

My mother was admitted to the Village of East Harbor after hospitalization for pneumonia which left her very weak. After a short time in rehab it was determined that she probably would not improve. We were in frequent contact with the staff when it was recommended that she be moved to a long term bed due to her declining status. My mother was kept clean and comfortable and fed when she could not do it herself. The care that she received far exceeded our expectations. Nurse Jeannette was fantastic and stayed with us by her bedside during her last moments. Words can not describe how comforting the staff was. Nobody wants to put a loved one in a nursing home but if you have the need, don't hesitate to check out The Village of East Harbor.

My mother was here for only a short time directly from hospitalization, but I had nothing but good experiences with ALL the staff, from billing to actual caregivers. "Jean" in the rehabilitation section was not only terrifically helpful to my mother, myself and my family, but was extremely sympathetic after my mother's passing. I would most definitely recommend this facility and it's fantastic staff.

My Grandma has lived here for over 7 years. She has a great apartment and keeps busy going to all the activities. She exercises, goes to the Chaplains classes, and I love seeing her so happy.

I have worked for East Harbor for 22 years. Its been truly a blessing to work along side coworkers that care so deeply for the residents. My mother was in therapy for 3 months here and we were very happy with her care. From the doctors and nurses to the housekeeping. I would recommend living on our campus. One day I hope to live here as well!

My Dad has been staying here for rehabilitation after a hip surgery. His recovery is complicated because of illness, and the staff has been fabulous. The pt staff is enthusiastic and supportive, as are the nurses. While spending every day there for a solid week I was able to observe the routines and everything is stellar. There are lots of activities for residents and they are very conscientious with family needs, especially cna Sarah and Joyce. I highly recommend this facility!

My dad who is 91 fell in the shower 3 weeks ago. He was released from the hospital and into the care of East Harbor after 10 days. The care has been incredible. The nurses are spot on and the aides are very caring. The group in physical therapy have worked so hard with him and he was able to move to assisted living for 2 more weeks of intensive therapy. Then he can go home. I am so thankful for the staff at East Harbor. My dad is strong and they were able to give him his independent life back. I highly recommend East Harbor!

Early this morning my mom passed away at Haven Hall after being with you since November. I want to take this opportunity to thank you, but mostly to praise your staff of nurses and aids in Haven Hall. These people are truly the unsung heros. Since my mothers arrival they have been caring and loving to her. They treated her with such respect. Yesterday when we knew we were going to lose her they transferred that love and respect to our large family that had gathered around my mother. They hugged as cried with us assured us and above all were so honest with us on what to expect. A special thank you to Eva, and Chantel and sweet Jessica for your hugs and prayers during a very long and sad night. Thank you Lynette for your honesty. Thank you all for making sure we were cared for and had coffee and snacks and everything else we needed. Those things meant the world to us.

My elderly aunt lives here, the staff treat her very well by what I have witnessed and by my aunts own words of how friendly and helpful the staff are, which is very refreshing and rare these days. The stories I hear from the family members and the residents themselves, are truly heartwarming. I have never worked for a more compassionate, caring, for the people, boss. (Carolyn M.) I have worked as a CNA at other facilities as well as working in the office, but no where I was excited to tell people about. I proudly tell everyone about how blessed I am to be able to work here and the great staff I work with!! We are a 5 star facility for a reason. #blessed

My mom has been here for 2.5 weeks and goes home on Tuesday. The Nurses and aid's have all been wonderful to all of us. The smile on Mom's face when they walk in the room tells us she is happy with her care. Everyone has been so helpful!

Someone recently asked what my most rewarding job has been over the years and my answer was my current position at the Village of East Harbor. I'm one of the fitness specialists and I truly enjoy working alongside Lisa who is fun, energetic and extremely enthusiastic. I love that together we help the residents feel stronger and therefore a little more independent. I also assist with activities throughout the building as often as possible. I really enjoy working with our talented activities staff to bring a little more joy into our residents' lives by playing games, being creative, sharing stories and laughing...a lot! The truth is, the residents bring a lot of joy to our lives as well. We are all fortunate to work with caring and fun leaders. I've worked at the Village for over a year now and truly love my job 🙂

My grandmother was a resident of East Harbor for many years. She utilized all areas of the facility as she progressed and aged, from independent living through to nursing care before she passed. The facility and its employees are top notch in all aspects of senior living and care. Because of their care, she was able to live her remaining years with dignity and respect. Our family has nothing but respect for the organization and the care she received.

My grandma struggled here and ended up leaving in an ambulance back to the emergency room. From there I requested to have her go anywhere else other then Village of East Harbor. The staff was friendly and it seemed like a great place when we got there but my grandma was just slipping further and further. Once she was in another rehab she did great.
