My father first came to Westbrook Terrace Assisted Living in May of 2020. Covid 19 was starting to take over everyones lives and my family needed help. The staff at Westbrook Terrace welcomed my father and not only gave him a safe environment but love, patience, understanding, and a second family. If you are looking for a smaller assisted living community where the residents are treated with respect. I highly recommend checking into Westbrook Terrace.

I have been very impressed with the Arbors. When my moms memory loss caused extreme torment - delusions, hallucinations, anger, depression and fear- Im so glad I found the Arbors. It became necessary for her to be in a secure (locked) facility because she had an uncontrollable need to get away from wherever she was at all hours of the day and night. This was an extremely challenging period for both the family and Arbors staff. They were able to, first and foremost, keep her safe in a very respectful and loving way. Not once was she able to get away from the facility, despite round the clock attempts for many months. All the Arbors staff members really understand the disease, and its myriad of symptoms that present a little differently in each resident. During this time, all I can say is that they really loved mom, giving her a feeling of safety and security. I had prayed every day that she get to a state of mind where she was as happy as the many active and conversant residents who have been there for 4, 5, 9 years or more. The Arbors staff, the director, nurse, aids, cooks and maintenance man have all treated mom with such respect and love, and cared her to a better state of mind. Mom is no longer tormented and feels productive again. She spends her days on her life-long loves of jigsaw puzzles, embroidering and gardening (an activity they expanded greatly just for mom.) I think nurturing her love of gardening was a key to improving her feeling of self worth. Her memory has improved. And all this during the Covid lockdown with no physical contact from loved ones. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with the Arbors understanding and skill with such a challenging disease. And I am at peace with my decision. I would be happy to discuss my experience with the Arbors and moms journey if you are struggling with a memory care decision. Ask the Director, Carrie, for my phone number.

We had to move mom last April 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic and the Arbors has turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to her. Everything was closed to new residents at the time but Carrie went above and beyond to get approval for mom to be allowed to move in. We couldnt go in at the time so it was very stressful but when we would call(daily or every other) to check on mom they were always very understanding and reassuring that mom was doing great. Monica is just the best and is always there for us when we have needed her. Fast forward a year later(now) and mom is settled in and happy as can be. She is well taken care of and the staff is great. They do seem to truly care about mom and all the residents. We are so blessed and thankful for the Arbors and would highly recommend.

Since the management changes in Fall of 2019, Westbrook has been more than an exceptional place to provide assistant living. I have worked in nursing homes and assisted living facilities for a total of 11 years, and Westbrook is certainly one of the best. The management team truly cares about the residents and makes sure the staff (who, honestly care just as much) provide excellent care to the residents. Working as a therapist in this facility since the summer of 2018 has given me the opportunity to daily observe the care that is provided, and I would undoubtedly place any of my loved ones in the care of Westbrook Terrace or The Arbors. If you are looking for an assisted living facility in the mid-Missouri area, Americare is the way to go.

My mother lived at Westbrook Terrace for a little over a year, and then moved to the Arbors. Staff at both facilities have always been caring and attentive. They treat her like family. Her physical health and happiness have improved greatly in her time there. Both facilities are warm and cozy, and staff seem to go to great lengths to make residents feel at home. Communication with staff is great - no request seems to bother them, and they are quick to notify us of any issues. I cant think of any better place for my mother to have been during the Covid-19 pandemic. Quarantines are really hard on those with dementia, but staff went above and beyond to try to make things as comfortable as possible - providing activities, allowing me to send videos they would show to mom, etc.

As someone who has been in several different long-term care communities, I can without a doubt say that the staff at Westbrook Terrace (including the Arbors) is one of the most caring, compassionate, and loving groups of caregivers Ive had the pleasure of working with! They truly love each and every resident like a member of their own family and do a wonderful job of addressing their health and medical needs as well. The past year has been trying to say the least, but Westbrook has done a phenomenal job with keeping all of the residents safe and healthy as well as making the best of the COVID lockdown which is now thankfully coming to an end! While no long-term care option is perfect, Westbrook continually strives to be the best and plays an important role in helping to meet a very important need in our community. I would confidently recommend Westbrook for anyone in need!!

The Arbors at Westbrook is one of the best memory care facilities I have had the pleasure to be in. Coming from someone who has been in MULTIPLE memory care facilities, Westbrook has one of the best. The staff is very caring and attentive. In the past three years, this facility has improved in so many ways. Since Monica, Carrie, and Katy (Cherie prior) took over management, the place has NEVER been better. Americare prides themselves in providing top care to their residents, and the Arbors at Westbrook goes above and beyond, as does the neighboring building, Westbrook Terrace. I could add dispute to negative reviews, but I digress. I have worked for 8+ years with patients with Alzheimers, and I can promise you will not be disappointed with this facility.

What wonderful facilities! I have provided services within both of these facilities for several years and have had countless visits inside these walls. I have always felt that both of these facilities-The Arbors and Westbrook Terrace, have always been clean and organized. The staff is friendly, compassionate and attentive to their residents. The staff is very knowledgeable about each individual and the care that they need. The residents look happy and well cared for. As a provider, it is a wonderful thing being confident that the residents are satisfied and receiving the care they need. I have never felt a sense of neglect or lack of treatment for any of the residents that I have treated within these walls. It is true that the Pandemic placed all Senior Care facilities into a new set of needs and protocols but they rose above this and continued to provide exceptional care. These facilities are both places that I would be pleased and comfortable sending my loved ones to if the need arose. From the top down I give these facilities both 5 stars.

My mother was in the Arbors memory care unit for almost two years before she passed away in 2020. We found the staff to be very caring and responsible. They called when they had concerns. We checked in almost daily and we got to know many of the other residents and their families. Watching your parent lose their memory, personality, and ability to function is a hard thing. The Arbors personnel took good care of my mother and assisted us with every step of our journey. We felt very blessed to have a facility like this in Jefferson City and I would recommend them to anyone.

Coming from someone who has worked in MANY memory care units and other assisted living facilities, this is by far the best one I have had the pleasure to be in. The staff is loving, caring and compassionate in some of the most difficult situations. They are great with communication, they listen and learn, they work tirelessly and usually with a smile on their face. When concerns arise they are great with letting other staff members and therapy know, when therapy has concerns or suggestions they are quick to listen and communicate. The DON, Monica, is absolutely amazing! Monica loves all of the residents there and you can purely see it in her interactions. She is quick to act and very knowledgeable. The staff I have had the pleasure of knowing treat the residents like their parents-grand parents, laughing with them and sometimes even crying with them. As someone who has worked along side of them, the residents become your family and thats how they should be treated and ARE treated in this facility. If you are looking for a loving, caring, family oriented and truthworthy facility for your loved one - this is it!

After dealing with other facilities in healthcare and the poor treatment we received at some places Westbrook Terrace and The Arbors was a blessing to my family. The management and staff here were the absolute best. They treat everyone like their own family and they have made the most homelike atmosphere they can. I have seen them laugh and cry with their residents and give everything they have and more. They always go above and beyond. During COVID this is one of the only facilities that did not have a positive resident at all. They were diligent in their protocols and worked tirelessly through the pandemic. They are always communicating with the families and keeping everyone updated. These are the truest Healthcare Heros I have ever had the honor of knowing. I will refer everyone I know to Westbrook! The number #1 facility in this area in my opinion.

This wonderful family of caregivers got all our loved ones through a pandemic and to the vaccine with NO positive residents! And what a long haul it was for them! They never flagged in their kind enthusiasm for the happiness of my mom and her fellow residents, even seeking me out with solutions ready to implement when her depression started to appear again. They are true partners and family as we navigate this stage of Moms life together!
