Reviews Atria on the Hudson
December 2024
After looking at many assisted living facilities before choosing Atria, I am so glad that I did! My father enjoys the many athletic, artistic, intellectual, and musical activities as well as the organized off property day trips. He loves swimming in the pool and the aquatics classes. The meal choices are fantastic with plenty of options. The Nursing Team are attentive, caring and professional and communicate effectively. With its warm and friendly environment, the Atria on the Hudson has everything I could ask for in an assisted living facility for him!

The Atria on the Hudson has been a welcoming experience at a very difficult time. We are grateful for their compassion, understanding and professionalism in taking care of my family members. A special thank you to the Nursing Director, Marie Barrett and her staff for their excellent work ethic, thoughtfulness and kindness in dealing with my older brother and sister in law. They have only been at the Atria for approximately 4 months, but any issues or questions that have come up are immediately attended to by Marie and her staff. My family and I are very grateful for Marie's and her staff's professionalism. Marie has a great attitude, always is smiling and willing to assist. Marie is a wonderful asset at the Atria. I am so thankful for her attention to the well being of my loved ones. We are very happy with the Atria on the Hudson. - Angelo Penge

The Atria on the Hudson saved my mom's life & spirit. My mom had broke her femur and after the operation was sent to a rehab/nursing home for recovery. She initially started to get better, but due to the lack of staffing and nobody really paying attention, she started to decline. The Doctor there saw her twice in a 2 1/2 month period and didn't even examine her. Thank God , I found the Atria! Upon entering the Atria I was impressed with how gorgeous it is open & airy the decor combines modern with natural features. I was greeted by the executor Kristen Armstrong who explained to me how they really care about each person's wellbeing and the many services they provide. She also explained how they strive to create an atmosphere of connectiveness a feeling of community & family . I was sold we moved mom in. Then I met Marie Barrett, She is the Head nurse and is very attentive to my mom's needs. Along with her staff they make sure doctors orders are carried out & also keep the family well informed with her medical needs & progress .Giving our family peace of mind . I am grateful to the whole staff at the Atria for taking good care of my mom ..

Atria on the Hudson is a very good Assisted Living and Memory Care facility though we can only speak directly about the Memory Care side. The environment, grounds, food and activities are all good but the care given to its residents is what sets Atria on the Hudson apart. Caroline (the Memory Care director) Marie (the Nursing director) and staff like Paola, Gladys, Joni etc. to mention a few, are all caring, dedicated and special people.

I visit a family member at this facility and all the residents seem to enjoy activities or games, there are opportunities to socialize and exercise the mind and body! Speaking to Andi, the activities director, was pleasant and informative, she works very hard to make sure the residents have things to look forward to and entertainment to enjoy!
July 2024
My grandma live at the atria and she loves it!! She raves about the food all the time. And how nice all the staff is. She enjoys all the activities and especially loves Andi the activities director.

The Atria at Woodlands was a wonderful chapter in my mother's life. Moving up from S.C., my mom was naturally nervous about this new change, however our first meeting with Jan put her mind at ease and fortified our decision to rent in the Independent Living housing. The Atria at Woodlands is truly a wonderful community. The properties are always well-manicured, and the buildings and dining rooms are clean and accommodating. The most important aspect of the Atria at Woodlands to my family is how great the staff is with our loved ones living there. The staff has always been courteous, helpful, and understanding and would often go out of their way to help. Another big thanks to Jan Unger for always being available to my mother from our first day to even this morning… Great job Atria!! E Olson (resident's son)

The overall feeling that my family and I have is very positive. In particular, the current life guidance director, Caroline, the nursing director, Marie and her assistant, Joni are all dedicated, helpful and professional. I would even say vocational. The RSA staff are very young (with a few exceptions, Paola, Gladys etc…) but the ones I have talked to are caring and compassionate. It must be hard for staff to stay long term because the work I know can be difficult and draining and I am sure they are not overly paid and by the time they are trained they are looking for greener pastures. The care that is given to our loved one is very much appreciated. The grounds are beautiful, the facility is taken care of, the food is more than adequate as is the housekeeping. I wish the LG side was aesthetically more like the assisted living side and I wish they had more activities like assisted living but I also understand the needs and capabilities are different. Care and compassion are paramount. Keep working hard to make our loved one as happy as possible. From the Rogan Family.

My 95 year old Mom needed transportation to her Dr. appointment. Lisa Irving, the Engaged Life Director made all the arrangements for prompt, safe & carefree pickup and return to Atria. Driver Rene was kind, timely & professional. Thank you & Well Done Atria!

I am so grateful to have Desiree Pancheco as the director of LG at Atria on the Hudson. Her dedication to providing exceptional care and ensuring the well-being of all residents is truly remarkable. Desiree goes above and beyond to make sure that every resident feels comfortable, safe, and happy. She is always available to answer questions and address concerns, and she has created a warm and welcoming environment for everyone in the community

My mom has lived at Atria on the Hudson in the Life Guidance (LG) community for memory care for two years. I truly appreciate the way LG Director Desiree Pacheco leads the Atria LG staff--her energy and creativity are boundless! She is attentive to the needs of each resident and focuses on keeping them engaged with delightful, interesting activities. The facility is bright, well-maintained and the memory care patio and grounds are beautiful. There is such a sense of family and community in Atria Life Guidance. All the staff--Gladys, Paola, Jocelyn, Caitlyn--are wonderful and mom is very fond of them. I feel like they are an extension of our family! Each time I visit mom, I rest assured knowing she’s being cared for with kindness and compassion by Desiree and her awesome team.

As a resident of Atria for a year and a half now, I have been very happy. In particular, our lifeguard, Justin, has been wonderful - helping out with other activities when no one is using the pool. Grace, Judith and Kimberly, our activities team are all lovely and very engaging with the residents.
February 2023
My name is Alex Mastri and I live in Atria for about 4 years, this organization is very fortunate to have a person like Judith Guzman on their staff, who does all different activities and beside that she is very friendly and a great listener.
December 2022
I have been a volunteer at Atria on the Hudson since October. The first thing that grabbed my attention was how clean and beautiful the facility is. From the swimming pool, library, fitness area, and movie theatre I was taken back by the endless amount of activities the residents can participate in. The dinning area feels more like a restaurant, The choices and food quality are spectacular. The staff is warm and friendly everyone from Roxanne at reception, Dan the Maintenance Director, and Lisa the Activities Director greet everyone with a smile and a kind word. The Activities Department is where Atria really sets itself apart. Poker night, Spanish Class, Game Night and with a new movie playing every night there is always something fun and engaging for the residents to do. Grace and Kim especially go above and beyond they are generous and kind to everybody. They go out of their way to make sure everyone is included and having fun. It is more than a job to them, everyone I have met that works at Atria cares deeply about the well being and quality of life of the residents. As a volunteer that is what makes Atria on the Hudson special. it's a family like atmosphere, watching the seniors laugh, smile, and truly enjoy themselves says it all. The holiday parties, the actives, the bonds and relationships that are formed are priceless and go a long way in keeping the seniors young at heart and happy in their golden years. Atria on the Hudson is much more than assisted living, It lets the seniors live their lives in a kind and caring atmosphere with 5 star amenities, activities and 24/7 physical mental and emotional support.
December 2022
I interviewed and toured several assisted living facilities in the surrounding Westchester County area before selecting Atria on Hudson. From my initial contact with admission, arrangements for tours, coordinating moving in and transitioning to a new home, I have found the staff to be responsive, professional and most of all caring towards my resident. I have no hesitation recommending Atria on Hudson and it’s because of the staff with whom I have come in contact. During the first four months I have met and worked with admissions, receptionists, drivers, medical department staff, Social Worker and most of all the Director of Life Guidance memory care unit and her staff. To a person they are outstanding. It allows me to focus on other aspects of the resident’s life while they provide the day-to-day care. In four short months, they have truly crated a second (safe) home.

My mother moved into the memory care unit (Life Guidance) at Atria on Hudson in February. It was the right move for her. The staff is outstanding, very caring, attentive, and responsive to her needs and moods. The facility is well kept and has a beautiful garden for the residents to enjoy. The director Desiree consistently goes above and beyond planning activities, communicating with our family, and taking time to really get to know my mom. It has been such comfort to know my mom is receiving outstanding care.
October 2022
Atria on the Hudson is a beautiful community. My mother lives in life guidance and the staff are very caring and attentive. Desiree the director has been wonderful. She is especially responsive to the residents needs and is always positive and upbeat.

My MIL has been at Atria-on-Hudson for more than two years. She has been well taken care of, but her happiness and satisfaction have deepened dramatically since Desiree arrived. From the very beginning of Desiree’s tenure she has gone over and above to make my MIL happy, and she has been so kind and helpful to all of our family. Her promotion was an excellent move. She’s a keeper!

My mom has been at Atria for almost one year. When she first went there she was living Independently, and about 4 months in, it was necessary to move her into Memory Care. The staff at Atria was incredibly helpful at every step in this process. While we loved Independent living- the stimulating activities, the beautiful grounds that she could walk in, and the terrific staff, it was clear that my mom needed more support. In Memory Care (Life Guidance) she gets a lot more personalized help, and the activities are just right for her. I can't say enough about how caring and communicative the staff is. They send me pictures of my mom engaging in activities, and they really understand how someone with dementia perceives the world. They are gentle and kind, and they really help her to retain her dignity. Desiree is an absolute gem- she is tireless in her devotion to my mom- she takes great care to make sure my mom is active, challenged and happy. My mom can be a difficult person at times, but the staff is skilled at redirecting her and helping her to focus on something new that will bring her joy. It isn't easy having a parent with dementia, and it is not a static situation- her needs and her abilities are always evolving. The staff at Atria works with my mom and with me, to make sure that her needs are met. Atria, Desiree, and the whole staff have been a real blessing in our lives.
July 2022
My father lived at Atria, most recently in their Life Guidance (memory care) unit. I cannot say enough about the wonderful treatment he received. He was truly well-cared for and treated with kindness and dignity. The Director Lucy Panchoo, is compassionate, understanding, and went out of her way to communicate with my family. Desiree, Jocelyn, Paola, and all the staff were amazing and treated my father like family. Marie and Stephanie from the Wellness staff were also a pleasure to work with. The facility is beautiful and clean, and has a nice outdoor area. Most importantly, I always felt my father was in a safe and positive environment.

My Grandmother resides at Atria on the Hudson, in their Life Guidance neighborhood. MAJOR kudos to the staff there and new Director. I was able to video call, after not having been able to do so, for a bit due to my schedule but SO HAPPY, I was able to see her. The joy I saw on her face was so evident. Her hair was nicely done, she was participating in an activity and loudly demanding for her snack, in which they were happy to provide her with (she had two servings during our call by the way, ha!) It was quite a sight to see. This 30 min video call, reassures not only myself but our family that she is in the right place and content in where she lives, with the people shes surrounded with and cared by. The staff is what makes this Atria absolutely phenomenal. They go beyond their call of duty. My Grand-moms Dementia necessitates quite a bit of attention but they care and tend to her so effortlessly. My Mother cannot say enough lately about how Grandma is doing and that she is in excellent hands. Give yourselves a major pat on the back, team Hudson! Their community, the staff and tenants become like family. Bravo to Matt and his team! We are so glad to know that my Grandmother truly has a home at Atria in which she so clearly loves and a community to which she truly belongs! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Atria on Hudson is an excellent facility. Over 5 years, there have been no surprises or problems. The staff are really helpful - management, nursing, care aides, and facility staff. Its a beautiful place, kept in excellent condition. My brother and I looked at several assisted living facilities before selecting AoH, and have been very satisfied. I would definitely recommend this assisted living facility as being a real 5-star place.

My mom has lived at Atria on the Hudson for four years. It is a beautiful, well-kept senior living facility, but what stands out the most about it for me is the warmth and friendliness of its staff. I cannot say enough about the Atria on the Hudsons staff, who are the gold standard in terms of providing a safe environment for their senior residents. They truly care for the people that live there. With the coronavirus pandemic, this last year has been a difficult time for all. The Atria on the Hudson leadership team and staff have gone above and beyond to help its residents and resident families make it through. In particular, Marie, Resident Services Director, along with her competent team, has not only been helpful, but also quick to respond to the needs of my mom. Also, Julie, Director of the Culinary Services, whose attitude is always positive and upbeat, has been quite attentive in addressing my moms food preferences. I am so grateful that my mom lives at Atria on the Hudson, especially during this unusual and trying time.

Caring for our loved ones during COVIDs lockdown and isolation was a taunting challenge since March os 2020! Yet, the nursing, engaged life, reception, dietary, maintenance, housekeeping and adminstrative staff at Atria on the Hudson exceeded our expectations! Yes, it was heart-wrenching not being in together person at times. But I had peace of mind knowing that the safety measures put in place over the past year were for the protection of my moms (and others) continued safety and well being. The staffs ongoing cheerfulness, sensitive and attentive compassion, creative engaged life activities, responsiveness to our requests and ongoing open communication offered me peace of mind throughout this ordeal. I look forward to giving each Atria staff member a personal hug to express our gratitude and say a special THANK YOU for all you have done to keep my mom safe, healthy and thriving during the Pandemic. Yes, I made the right choice to move by mom to Atria on the Hudson. With a grateful heart, Gae Savino and Family

Inclusive and innovating; caring, comfortable, and capable: The Life Guidance Unit at Atria on the Hudson in a nutshell. Nearly every individual whom I have encountered at Atria - from the executive director to the front door receptionist; take a personal interest in and responsibility for care. I've observed housekeeping staff pausing in their work to help a distressed resident in need of a cooling beverage and a hug and administrative heads taking on toileting duties. It is, without a doubt, a diamond in the rough in the too-often grim landscape of eldercare and the people there make it so.

I think that the people who work in the LG area at the Atria on the Hudson are amazing, Janelle, Renee, Morgan, Paula, Ramona, Jody, Kendall and Sonia have worked so hard to transition my Dad from AL. I hope I have not forgotten anyone. I appreciate them so much. I thank Hindel for all of her help and understanding. We also want to thank Debi, Grace, and Ky from AL, they are wonderful and have been so helpful to our family.
