Memory care is expensive, under staffed, and lacks consistent care. The few staff who are fantastic are doing the lions share of the work, which is causing them to burn out. The food is adequate, the facility is well cared for, and the residents seem to do well together. Once a patient needs more care (help feeding themselves), they’re unlikely to get the appropriate level of care due to being understaffed and some lazy caregivers. Staff who work weekends and at night are unresponsive and don’t provide quality care. Speaking with management has not improved the situation and was met with hints that we should seek a new facility.

I recently had the opportunity to connect with the team at Harmony Chantilly and had a great experience. Najla, the Sales Director, was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely took the time to understand what families are looking for. Ray, the Executive Director, was approachable, professional, and clearly takes pride in the community and the level of care being provided. The environment felt warm and well managed. It’s always reassuring to see leadership that is present and involved. I would absolutely feel comfortable recommending Harmony Chantilly to families looking for a supportive senior living community.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Harmony Chantilly! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of care. The staff go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable, respected, and truly at home. The community itself is beautifully maintained. Clean, inviting, and thoughtfully designed with residents’ needs in mind. There are always engaging activities and events that keep everyone active, social, and fulfilled. It’s clear that a lot of effort goes into creating a vibrant and supportive environment. What truly sets this community apart is the leadership. Najla, the Community Sales Director, is absolutely wonderful”kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. She takes the time to listen, answer questions, and ensure families feel confident and at ease. Ray, the Executive Director, is so impressive. His dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for residents and staff are evident in every aspect of the community. Together, they create an environment that is both welcoming and exceptionally. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a safe, welcoming, and enriching place for their loved one. It truly feels like family here!

I am impressed with the staff's care and concern for the well being of the residents at Harmony. The daily schedule is full of activities, ranging from exercise class, to shopping trips, local outings, morning coffee gathering, happy hour, lectures and discussions, art class, choir, daily movies and more. The atmosphere is friendly, pleasant and joyful, including lovely seasonal decorations. The rent is much more reasonable than other senior facilities, and the apartments are spacious and are carpeted between tenants, and include a weekly room cleaning. The front office and concierge, housekeeping and maintenance staffs are professional, well trained and kind. I deducted one star for the less-than-ideal dining experience. The food is healthy and there are many alternate options, but some of the hot meals fall short of mom's home cooking. The service is inconsistent, with some servers providing excellent service and some in need of more and better training. Overall, I am very happy with my choice of Harmony over other local options. I anticipate a long and satisfying stay here.

Amazing Place for Seniors in Herndon! My first impression was that it was extremely impressive. The environment is warm and inviting, with common areas that are beautifully designed. It is both luxurious and comfortably homey. There is a courtyard garden which is serene and well kept, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or to sit and visit with friends. The staff are also exceptional. Every member of staff that we met was kind, courteous, and genuinely interested in making life better for residents. They obviously take pride in the supportive and caring environment they have created. The food is excellent as well. We had a great variety of food from tasty breakfast to fresh and flavorful dinners that were of restaurant quality. They clearly take time to consider nutrition and taste. There are also many activities: fitness, arts & crafts, continuing education lectures, live music, and outings, there are choices galore! We observed residents smiling, talking and engaging, the sense of community is strong and positive. The apartments are spacious, bright, and well designed with modern appliances and finishes. We felt that they were upscale and homey. From what we could see, maintenance is prompt and efficient. All in all, The Harmony at Chantilly definitely lives up to its name. From the beautiful grounds to the excellent staff, superior amenities, and a very active and positive community life, it would appear to be an ideal place to live for someone who is looking for a warm, active and dignified senior living experience. I highly recommend it.

Our family is grateful for the care our mom received at Harmony of Chantilly during her month and a half stay in their memory care section. She lives with many difficult needs, so finding a place that could meet all of them was important to us. From the first evening, the staff made efforts to accommodate her preferences. She’d been relying on PBJ sandwiches before arriving, and even though it wasn’t on the menu or during dinner hours, they went out of their way to make one for her. That thoughtfulness really helped her transition. The team encouraged mom to join activities and spend time with other residents, which made a noticeable difference. She started eating more at mealtimes, joined music sessions, did some crafts, painted her nails with the staff, and even went on an outing to a zoo. We especially appreciated Viv, who regularly kept us updated with photos and check-ins, and whose kind approach really helped mom feel at ease. Viv and others even assisted in bringing mom to the DMV so we could take care of some paperwork together. Latasha was always approachable and willing to help when we had questions, and Alicia stepped in smoothly when Viv was out, helping with everything from mail to billing matters. Madina, the healthcare director, gave us helpful guidance and explanations about mom’s health and care. Harmony of Chantilly supported mom and our family during a challenging time. We’re thankful for their care, the welcoming environment, and the effort they put into meeting mom’s needs. We highly recommend Harmony to everyone seeking a loving facility to care for their loved one.
