My grandmother and father have stayed at Burcham Hills (most recent end date: June 1, 2026), in addition to my stepmom and members of her family. I will speak to our most recent experience. The staff there were compassionate and knowledgeable. The clinical care coordinators on my father's floor called me regularly when issues emerged with my father, and were always prepared to answer questions when I called them. I observed a variety of staff treat my father with true care and concern. Overall, the staff really made our experience at Burcham Hill very positive. Additionally, the administrative staff were responsive to questions and concerns I raised, holding a care meeting when needed and made moving my dad closer to me a streamlined and easy process. Additionally, Burcham Hills offers an array of services, including fit classes (which my father used when he no longer qualified for PT) and has a well maintained building, making it in general a nice place to be. Overall, I am really grateful for what Burcham Hills has offered us over the years, and especially grateful to the staff who work there for all they do.

My husband was at Burcham Hills inpatient rehab for a little ovet two weeks. Although they had some nice staff the experience we had was terrible. They knew nothing about his condition and did nothing to learn about it. His blood pressure ran dangerously low for several days and nothing was done to correct it or figure out why. If OT came in for their sessions and he was sleeping they left. They never addressed him being lightheaded, dizzy, blurred vision, etc. This was after having a stent put in. He has HSP and no one had a clue to what it is nor did anyone try to educate themselves about it. I would never put a loved one in Burcham Hills inpatient rehab again. They were always short staffed with the major of staff being new. It seems they have a high turn around in staff. When he would hit the call button for bathroom it wouks take 20-30 minutes for someone to respond, yet there would be 2-4 staff at the counter talking and not one did anything to respond to the call for assistance. Several times he just went to the bathroom unassisted as he couldn't wait any longer. Their solution was to have him wear depends. I feel guilty thatvI didn't pull him out of there and move him somewhere else.

We just moved our very elderly but independent mother into the main building. She had been living in a cottage on the grounds and wanted to be closer to activities and have meals provided. Mark (head of security) has been super helpful at every step helping us navigate this transition. She is already appreciating the food, the good company of many other interesting residents, and the proximity of enriching activities!

This is one of the most beautiful campuses for senior living I have seen. I have worked in the industry for about 30 years. I highly recommend Burcham Hills for excellent rehab and care but also for the quality of life being provided for the residents in independent, assisted living and memory care. My father in law was there for some time building his strength with physical therapy and speech therapy. The people were kind and I believed enjoyed working with my father in law. Unfortunately, I believe he was released to go home very prematurely. He got home and could not walk or maneuver with his walker, he struggled going potty and just did not have needed physical strength. Within a few days he had fallen and was back in emergency and another permanent rehabilitation facility where it has been shared he needs 24/7 care. Far different then what we were told at Burcham Hills. Very concerning the miscommunication and diagnosis.

Our dad was a patient at Burcham Hills Rehabilitation for rehab after an infection and surgery last month. He was previously at another Rehab facility, but it wasn't great, so we transferred him to Burcham Hills. Burcham was AMAZING! The facility was clean! His room was spotless and his bathroom was cleaned frequently. The nursing staff and techs, and physical/occupational therapists were so kind and very caring. Their admin staff go above and beyond! We are so thankful they handled our dad's transfer. The have daily activities for their patients to participate in. We absolutely love Burcham Hills! We can not recommend them enough! If our dad ever needs physical therapy again we will definitely be sending him to Burcham!

Wonderful event held in the garden at Burcham Hills last month. The additions and improvements made have been spectacular. I didn't realize how much art you have through your buildings. The food served for our event was wonderful. Also had the opportunity to speak with some of the residents who also loved the comradery, the food and the activities available here. Lastly, your staff were very friendly and you can tell they enjoyed what they did.

Burcham Hills worked with W3 for our Hats in the Garden Event in June. Blown away doesn't begin to describe the Charcuterie board they provided...not only was it delicious, with a fantastic array of cheeses, bread and crackers, but it was stunningly beautiful, and artfully displayed. The crew who did set up was amazing as well. Looking forward to working with them again, and again!

My father in law is at Burcham Hills and is so pleased with the interaction and support. He has so many friends that he eats with and spends time with daily. When she had strength and energy to partake in activities she enjoyed the many opportunities. She lived there through the pandemic and was kept safe and came through as strong as she was when it began. Finally, as her strength and health waned, she was cared for with skill and tenderness. I moved into the new Stonebriar at Burcham Hills in October, 2021. Having planned from even before ground breaking to make this my rest-of-life home, I am very pleased that Stonebriar is meeting my expectations. My apartment is spacious, bright, and complete with full kitchen and washer/dryer. The staff is caring and responds to individual needs. I have sampled many activities provided and started a stitchery group. I loved our bus trip and tour of the Detroit Art Museum. I enjoy our monthly outings to a different ethnic restaurant each month. The strong sense of community I feel for residents and staff makes me happy to call this my home.

I was Burcham Hills for a non weight bearing broken ankle. Had surgery on the 26th for plates & Screws. PT Therapist, Most CNA's, Most Nurses were wonderful. Took 4 days to get my Meds on a Schedule. Had to basically argue yo get my meds on time in the middle of the night. Then Discharge, on a Sunday. Really no help from the Social worker on figuring out where to go. Got that figured out aMonday. Charged me $498 for the "extra" day. Then Burcham was supposed to order a Wheelchair, and Hospital bed to be used at the facility I went into. Guess what? Dropped the ball. I do NOT have the equipment I need to help me heal & recover. The place I am at ordered everything, but because Burcham screwed up? The equipment is not here yet. I am VERY uncomfortable. Not resting well, whole body is aching, even with my meds. Food was great, most Aides, PT & Nurses were awesome. Social Workers& whoever was handling my case, and dropping the ball on the equipment & other things? Not impressed. Very disappointed for what they charge. VERY

Upon entering at lower level, this place appears to be nice and well staffed. Professional. But upon trying to get to the second floor, the elevators are not working and have been that way for the past 7 weeks that I have been visiting. Difficulty in finding the stairs and even then you have to find an employee to let you thru. The second floor was barely staffed. No one could assist in an elderly patient who needed help. They said they are understaffed and can't help her. Her diaper had not been changed since 11:30 a.m. and it was 6:00p.m. at this time. I could not find a nurse or assistant anywhere at that time . I have been there numerous times and every visit is the same. Was also very difficult to leave. Couldn't find the stairs as the doors were not marked. I would not recommend this place to send your elderly family members! It was disgusting how patients on the second floor are treated. She was given a plain hotdog and a piece of pie for dinner even though she told them she can not eat hot dogs. Do not send your loved ones here!!!

My experience at Burcham Hills has been wonderful. The care is great, the food is great and the therapy really works hard with me. They get me up and moving and are very caring. My family is impressed with the experience, too. If I ever need rehab again, I'm coming here. This has been a difficult time for me but the staff is helping me get through it. Kaysey is a wonderful wound nurse, too!

My father was a patient in The Center for Health and Rehabilitation three times in the past six months. Dad received very good care in the CHR. All his personal needs were met as well as excellent daily PT and OT (Monday-Friday). The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and spacious, with big windows. Danielle Matson is the Clinical Insurance Case Manager in the CHR and she is phenomenal. She was excellent about communicating with Dad and our family: consistently and in a timely manner. She also explained the process (multiple times:)) and answered all of our questions. Each time Dad stayed in the CHR, his mobility improved. The "care team" who set up his initial care assessments were very professional, caring, understanding, and helpful. I want to also give a shout out to Marco who was one of Dad's caring and consistent care givers and Steve the OT who encouraged Dad every step of the way. They were both great with Dad. I am sure there are many other unsung heroes, thank you to them too. Thank you for the positive experience for my father. I will recommend the CHR to others.

We live in the condominiums at the bottom of the hill. As part of the Burcham Hills family we have for the past two and a half years enjoyed the many amenities available to us...the library, educational talks, holiday celebrations, gym facilities among others. We were very pleased to have the Covid vaccine offered to us last week. It was convenient to just "go up the hill." The whole process was done in a friendly and professional manner and was very much appreciated.
