A year ago my Aunt moved into Clarendale of Mokena and while the transition was not easy for her, the team made all the difference. Moving from her longtime home into a senior living community can be emotional and overwhelming, but the staff showed incredible patience, compassion and genuine care every step of the way. From the very beginning, they took the time to get to know her and our family, understand her needs, and help her feel comfortable and welcome. Since moving in, we have seen her build relationships, become more engaged, and truly call Clarendale home. What stands out most is the people: the team goes consistently above and beyond, treating people with dignity, comfort and respect. Knowing that she is surrounded by caring professionals gives our family tremendous peace of mind. Looking back, what felt like a difficult transition has turned into the best decision for her in this next chapter.

I've lived here now 3 years. The staff is fun and I really enjoy all the things that we can do, because it's set up for aging adults. While it's too hard at my age to have a dog depend on me, by being here I visit 2 dogs that I love as if they are mine. The bus driver takes us everywhere so my world is more convenient; having so many things to do makes my world happier.

My mother has been at Clarendale for 3 years. Started in senior living and now has moved to assisted living. I wouldn’t want her anywhere else. Staff always friendly the facility always clean. I would recommend Clarendale for their assisted living facility for your loved one. They have great food. The nurses are great and loving; the physical therapy department is top-notch. The rooms are nice. The managers really care. The TV access is great. The bathrooms are great. I can’t say enough. You have access to doctors that can come into visit your loved one. You have access to medical testing such as on-site x-rays. They hold your room if you have to visit the hospital for an illness. Their rules and regulations about visiting the facility during the Covid epidemic were top-notch. In summary, if assisted living is good for your loved one: Clarendale of Mokena would be an excellent choice.

The whole Clarendale personnell does an excellent job, goes out of their way continually to make sure we are being taken care of and our needs are filled. Jonathon has done a fantastic job in the kitchen, and the food is the best it's been in the 4.5 years I've lived here! The girls at the concierge desk are fantastic, all the office managers are fantastic. I don't know what else I can say! It's always a pleasure to see people so concerned with our welfare.

I'm very impressed with the friendliness of both staff and residents. Bridget is kind, understanding, willing to listen, and eager to find the right solution to your family's (my father's) needs. The facility is beautiful, clean and tidy. While Clarendale is not the most expensive place, nothing is cheap, and nobody really wants to place family members in someplace that is cheap. I would recommend putting this place on your roster of facilities to visit. You won't be disappointed.

Clarendale has exceeded my expectations and lets my family sleep at night knowing our loved one is cared for day and night. My aunt has been there for about 9 months and started in assisted living but transitioned to memory care. Everyone on staff went above and beyond to make sure every concern was addressed. The therapists are wonderful and really take a vested interest in their patients. The nurses keep us informed when issues come up and are always available or call back promptly. The activities group has blown us away - it’s like being on a cruise ship and not only is it fun for the residents and provides the daily enrichment dementia patients need, but also helps with making friendships. The kitchen staff is attentive to dietary needs and the front desk is always there is welcome you and answer questions. The on staff maintenance crew fixed the AC issue as soon as they were called. Special kudos to Kathryn who is one in a million and the best advocate on staff. We checked out many places but it was Kathryn who made us choose Clarendale. Her knowledge was paramount to us and her care and compassion has followed through any time we have needed her. I highly recommend Clarendale of Mokena.

My father was a resident at Clarendale of Mokena since October 2023. He started out in the Assisted Living side of the facility, and then ended up transferring into the memory care unit once his health deteriorated. Throughout that period of time we took comfort knowing that my dad was well cared for by the people at Clarendale. He recently passed, and on his very last day on this earth the staff there had to deal with some pretty challenging circumstances. They did so with care, patience, and empathy. I have nothing buy high praise for every one of them.

Food needs an upgrade. You need a real cook and more staff in the assisted living dining room there is no reason you need to run out of food! There is no reason that clients should wait an hour or more for food. Adjust your schedules to meet their needs.

I scheduled a tour with Kathryn. From the beginning it was determined that My Mom wouldn’t be a fit for memory care. Kathryn brought in the head nurse Lisa, who was very helpful and understanding. They took the time to lead me in the right direction. The level of compassion they had for me was incredible so I can just imagine what the care and compassion they have for their residents!! This is the place you want your loved one!! I wish My Mom would have been that lucky!!!

I visited a friend in Clarendale for the first time on September 1st at 1:45. The young woman at the front desk who greeted me was incredibly polite and helpful. The facility is gorgeous and has great security safeguards in place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Mimi was a great addition to Memory Care. She’s very nice and attentive. Celena was also very sweet helping another resident eat. My mom Jeanne Boyle had poop all over her walker seat other than that it was a good visit.

Celebrated a 95th Birthday party at the facility and everyone was very accommodating. The party was a huge success. Dad was so happy and the space was beautiful and perfect for our party.

While the common areas and apartments themselves are beautiful, that’s not why I’m rating Clarendale of Mokena with 5 stars. The employees are amazing. My mom lived there in independent living (no CNA care directly through Clarendale of Mokena) but everyone from the Executive Director, Tricia, to the head of the nursing department was so incredibly helpful. My sister and I had very little knowledge and experience with what we should have been doing, and everyone gave their opinions and advice in a non-pushy way. And Kathryn, the Director of Marketing, if I could give her an award and/or raise on my own, I 1000% would. Even after we signed the lease and my mom was moved in, Kathryn checked in on my mom, on my sister and I, with the CNAs we had to privately hire for my mom, with hospice. Just completely shocked and grateful for Kathryn’s support and kindness. Those are things you can’t pay for with money or ever fully express our gratitude with a Google review. I would recommend Clarendale of Mokena to anyone I know!

Choosing the best home for my grandma was a process that left us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted almost defeated at times. We literally looked at every single community around the area and chose Clarendale above them all for their amenities they offer AND STAFF. I can not say enough positive things about Kathryn at Clarendale who helped answer all of our questions. Ease our minds. Made us feel at home and not only comfortable with my grandmas new adventure but even excited for the opportunities she now has to excel in life. My mom just got to Clarendale two weeks ago. All the CNA'S are really good. One person in particular that has stood out is her CNA keith. He is so sweet to my mom and has the patience of a saint. You should have a hundred more Keith's working there.

If you are looking for long term care for your loved one, no search would be complete without visiting Clarendale of Mokena. Looking for a suitable place for your loved one is incredibly daunting, their needs are complex: from physical and mental care to personal finance and budget to the convoluted, beaurocractic maze of Medicare and Medicaid. A knowledgable, honest person can really help you navigate the process. For us, this person was Catherine at Clarendale. Catherine met with us and listened to our needs. By the end of our visit she said I know of another place that may better fit your needs. My dad is now on the waiting list for the facility Catherine recommended. Instead of pressuring us and misrepresenting what Clarendale had to offer she drew from her experience and gave us great advice. Catherine's honesty and integrity are rare these days, she cared about my dad not his life's savings, for that I am truly grateful. Although Clarendale did not work out for us, it may be exactly what you're looking for. I recommend beginning your search with Catherine at Clarendon, at the very least she may save you time and aggravation.

I don't normally leave reviews but felt compelled because of the exceptional care that I recieved from Calrendale of Mokena. I was blown away from the moment I walked in the door. The individual efforts of Kathryn and Bridget in sales, far exceeded all of my expectations. It is evident that they both take great pride in representing the community and love what they do. The facility itself is beautiful and always well maintained. I highly recommend Clarendale of Mokena!

I can’t say enough good things about Carolyn, the director of Memory Care and her staff. She has been extremely kind and patient with our family as we have come to terms with our mom’s dementia progression. Knowing she is in good hands has been a comfort, especially during the Covid restrictions.

The Star Rating is for Carolyn, Director of Memory Care Services, as well as, the aides, nurses and QLS who have spent countless hours in Arbor Creek and Maple Creek unconditionally caring for our loved ones since March 12th. We first met Carolyn when she began her position just weeks before the mandatory shutdown. Undoubtedly, she has faced more obstacles in six months than others have faced in entire careers. Through it all and, under the most demanding of circumstances, Carolyn has remained calm, reasonable, loving and loyal. She has kept a professional, yet personal relationship with residents and families, careful not to overstep or disappoint. I feel she has passed this on to most of her staff. This shutdown and pandemic have been extremely challenging for staff, residents and their families. This has been a terribly sad and lonely time for all the residents in Memory Care. It is obvious that Carolyn loves and cares for each resident and their families. She has gone out of her way to personally involve herself in the care of our loved ones at a time when regrettably we are unable to do so.

My mom loved her June 2019 - February 2020. The facilities are beautiful and she felt at home immediately. There are countless activities for residents to participate in that truly meet everyone's needs. My mom loved the dining options and friendliness of the staff. The residents are wonderful and she met new friends the week she moved in. Enrollment was easy and the staff were very diligent on assessing and rectifying any issues we had during her stay. I appreciate how much Clarendale improved my mom's quality of life.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the community. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was. They were very helpful and informative. The building is beautiful and well maintained. I enjoyed having a fabulous meal with my family here. We even had a cocktail in the pub. This was a wonderful experience!
