I have been consistently impressed with this senior living community, especially its memory care program. The staff are friendly, attentive, and truly invested in the well‘being of each resident. It’s clear they take the time to understand individual needs and preferences, and they go out of their way to make residents feel seen and supported. The collaboration between the facility staff and healthcare providers is excellent. Concerns are addressed quickly, and communication is always clear. When i visit, the community is clean, welcoming, and comfortable. There’s a warmth in the way the community operates that gives me confidence in the care they provide. UPDATE 3/30/26: I continue to be at this community every week, teaching indoor gardening to both the memory care residents and on the personal care side. I am still amazed by the care given by the staff to each and every resident. Lori in the memory care unit has done a fabulous job of bringing the resident's care to a whole new level! She and her staff keep the residents engaged, safe, and loved. Shelly and her staff on the personal care side do the same for their residents. They are continually offering new and exciting opportunities and activities. It makes my heart smile to see the care given here and I am honored to know and spend time in this community. I am at this community on a regular basis. It makes my heart glad to see the staff engaging with the residents in such a warm manner. They address residents by name each and every time they see them, and as we know, we all love to hear our name. Well Done!

Very happy I made the change from my other facility to Bridges at Bent Creek. Management team is great to work with, very supportive and willing to help one another. One of the biggest reasons for coming here was how it is all about the residents! They come first, not only from the facility but you feel it also coming from the corporate level as well. During the time he was there before passing, he expressed his contentment with the facility and staff, and I was often able to witness the bond he had with different staff members. I'm not certain how this place is getting great reviews unless they are all outside of secured Memory Care which is a joke. They are severely understaffed and have aides cooking, cleaning, taking care of residents that are aging in place who have nursing home needs and hospice needs. So the average Memory Care resident gets ignored. Staff are overworked and unsupervised. Director plays games and goes to meetings without changing how to make operations more efficient. Staff is not required to make any daily case notes or weekly case notes on residence and so many balls are dropped daily. It's cruddy smelly dirty would not recommend.

I spent several months searching for the perfect place to move my mother. She had just been given a devastating dementia diagnosis and we were a little lost and confused. The moment I walked in to BentCreek I knew we had found home. They were so kind and knowledgeable about the steps and made the process so smooth. The rooms are nice and roomy and the staff couldn’t be more attentive. As soon as you walk through the door Chris is there with a smile! All of the nurses genuinely care about my mother’s health and making sure she feels safe. There are bigger and newer places in town but none of them have that home feeling like The Bridges at BentCreek.

I recently relocated my elderly parents from Pittsburgh to the Bridges at Bent Creek and can not speak highly enough about the staff and facility. Every staff member we have encountered has gone above and beyond to be kind, helpful, caring, attentive, and professional. Amanda in marketing was tremendously helpful with helping me navigate the details of moving them 200 miles to the Mechanicsburg area. Chris at the front desk is my go to person because she has ALL of the answers and is always so willing to help. Shi, the med tech, has been a godsend with her assistance in getting my mother situated. Honestly, the entire staff have been wonderful. My mother has lived at The Bridges at Bent Creek for almost 4 years- her favorite part is the beautiful outdoor areas, the warm and welcoming lobby, the staff, and the activities. She always says to me, " you could not have found a better place for me to live." My mother was 97 years old. She lived independently and was fiercely proud, refusing to move until just recently when her physical issues really started to impact her ability to live alone. We toured several facilities and chose The Bridges at Bent Creek, partly because it truly is a beautiful place and partly because we felt the 'love'. We made Mom's one bedroom apartment truly beautiful (some of her personal pieces and some from Wayfair 🙂 She loved her place, the beautiful facility, and most importantly she loved the people! Mom felt so supported, lovingly cared for, and safe. She went to almost all the great activities, physical therapy, and enjoyed the food (and the service staff). She loved when visitors brought in their dogs! We visited everyday and we, too, were so very impressed with everyone, especially the RAs (the aides)! Each of these young men and women were so kind and attentive and treated Mom with respect, professionalism, and tenderness. Congestive heart failure eventually won out and our dear mother passed away last week. As we pack up her apartment we see her dear caregivers and we all weep. They made Mom's final days on this earth so very special. We will never forget each and everyone of her 'angels'. If I could give the Bridges 10 stars I would.

The food is wonderful with homemade soups, actives for residents have increased and improved, engaging residents for ideas on what they like to do and places for them to go. The care is great and getting better and now fully staffed with caring people. Kudos to the team there!!!!

My dad lives at the Bridges for last 3 years in Memory Care. There has been some concerns in the past, however, with the new leadership team, I have seen a drastic change in care. Any concerns I have are addressed in a timely manner. Candace, the new ED knows the residents by name and has been very supportive to the community during the transition since Covid. My dad loves the food, especially the homemade soup (which was one of our concerns because he wasn't eating). There are always fun activities going on in the facility such as ceramic painting and church services. I am very proud to be apart of the Bridges family.

I wanted to let everyone know, after my visit at the Bridges of Bent Creek Facility in Mechanicsburg, Pa. was fabulous. I have visited this site when they had been a lot of changes with the management. Visiting on Feb 2, 2023, it appears the Management team has plugged into the residences and the community of Bent Creek The residents appear more positive, as well. As my family will be making a decision on placement for our loved one thank you to the Bridges and the residents for sharing the facility and the joy that appears to be contagious. again, thank you for the hospitality. I will say with all the other facilities my family and I have toured this facility ranks right up there. Honestly, if it was only up to me to be the only one to make the decision of placement Bridges certainly got my vote. The activities while viewing the facility, such as a speaker from the war College in Carlisle I counted 10 residence's participating, as opposed to a few months ago you were not seeing this so much, but again it was nice to see the residence feel and being part of the Community. As an example, the activities that are being offered, such as a speaker from the War College of Carlisle. In addition, trips to the market in Carlisle. In addition, the resident did a volunteer project of making blankets for a women's shelter, which the individuals delivered on January 31, 2023. I think the community has such a positive attitude and the energy as you enter the facility. Finally, the people and residents with smiles on their faces and seem to be a more relaxed environment. Moving in the right direction.

The senior leadership team, Jen and Melissa, have been incredibly professional and supportive during a very challenging transition period for our family - and most importantly our dear mother. They always put our mothers needs at the center of every discussion. As a family that live around the world we have been incredibly grateful for their responsiveness to receive our calls and making themselves available to meet in person as and when needed. Once our mother was settled into her room at The Bridges we’ve been graciously supported by an attentive, skilled and pro-active CNA team. Seriously, the physical and emotional care has consistently been wonderful. The RN’s have been fabulous. They’ve delivered excellent care and been extremely patient and helpful answering our medical questions while working in partnership with the hospice of central PA team. A huge thank you to the team for all you do each and every day not just for the residents but the extended families as well!

My dad lived at The Bridges for three years. At first the staff were attentive, caring, compassionate and communication was great. Staff worked very well with us to coordinate dad’s care. Then the beginning of the third year, new management took over. The first thing we noticed was all the original management was replaced along with the exit of many direct care workers. Communication was terrible. Calls to the Health Services Director as well as the Executive Director were not returned. These calls had to do with reports that dad was not getting his pain medication as prescribed. Dad had told us there was an episode where he was left on the toilet for four hours AFTER he had called for help. This was confirmed by management and the situation had been taken care of. Whatever that meant. We learned that dad was ill and although we asked for nursing to advise us of any change they did not. Upon finding that dad had been in bed ill for three days and at our insistence he was sent to the hospital. Dad had pneumonia and sepsis and died within the week. Later when family went to clear out his room the Health Services Director and Executive Director were in the lobby. When I asked why the HSD did not return my calls he hadn’t gotten around to it. And there was no good answer as to why dad was in bed Sick for three days and we weren’t alerted nor was he sent for care. Dad was alert and of sound mind. We kept in constant contact with him. If this can happen to him, think of those residents that are not in contact with family or had memory issues. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. It was the biggest mistake we made entrusting them with dad’s care.

This review is based on my experience with the Bridges in the past 2 years. My mother was a resident of the Bridges for 12 years. Up until about a year and a half ago, the family was pleased with her care and she enjoyed living there. There have been 2 executive directors in the past 2 years and when my mother recently passed away, there was someone acting in the position. Communication was very poor “ most often emails would go unanswered. They are understaffed terribly and there were times when my mother missed meals, went 14+ hours without eating, didn’t have her diaper changed for 8+ hours. We were so concerned about her care that we put a camera in her room. We communicated in writing to the ED and/or resident care director about our concerns, but most often they didn’t respond. We also discussed our concerns with the corporate office. Hopefully, they will look into the issues here.

The Bridges at Bent Creek is a Diamond in the sea of chaos of the challenges COVID 19 has brought to our Assisted Living Facilities. After a long and heroically fought battle, my dear friend passed away. I can not begin to tell the support and compassion they consistently offered to my friend and to me. From the moment my friend moved to The Bridges, it felt like home. Marnie from the Marketing Department not just facilitated the move, she was instantly our friend. She does not stop offering of herself to any and all residents and families until they are happy and satisfied. Matt, The Director of Nursing has SUPERPOWERS! As a retired medical professional, I can honestly say I have never seen a more compassionate, caring, giving, dedicated and knowledgeable Nurse. Marnie, Matt and Sarah are the A Team. If not for their natural ability to develop a solid caring support system for this facility, the residents living there would never have had the unique approach on how to be treated with dignity through COVID 19. Mostly, thank you for everything that was done in love, understanding and peace... Congratulations to Simply The Best facility, caregivers, food service and the three A Team Members!

Both of my grandparents had the opportunity to live here. I can't say enough about The Bridges and the care they provided. My grandparents (grandmother had dementia) were loved and cared for, and the staff was unbelievable and went way above the normal call of duty. There was a true connection between the residents and the workers, not just people doing their jobs. If you need a place for your parents or grandparents, I highly recommend The Bridges!

My mother has been at the bridges for about a year now. It has been a great experience for her. The staff there is more caring than I have met in any other facility. From management through the nurses everybody who has been wonderful. I highly recommend this place. Go check it out for yourself
