My mom was living in The Atrium for about 9 months before she passed of the Alzheimer's disease. The administrative team was very helpful and compassionate in the pre-paperwork and items needed list. They never rushed us and knew it was an emotional decision to move mom out of her house of over 50+ yrs. While living there the nurses & aides helped mom get acclimated and feel part of a community. They tried to get to know her and see what activities she still liked and was able to get engaged in. When I visited from PA they made sure to connect with me and share updates (and changes they have noticed to alert me). I appreciated that. My sister who lived near by visited frequently. The staff embraced her and really got to know my mom thru my sister. When my sister needed to share feedback with administration , it was listened to and reacted to. My sister noticed the difference after feedback was shared. Though that speaks to the administration and logistics of The Atrium. The nursing staff and aides are what makes a difference in this location. They are authentic, caring, compassionate, endearing and it comes across with their interactions with your loved one. I was very touched in the final days of my mom's life by their passion, compassion and care. They helped make my mom comfortable and her favorite things. Even the newer staff , 6 months, were in-tune with my mom likes/dislikes(ice cream over apple sauce for pill taking). They paid attention to their patients and they were not just a room #. My great-aunt and godmother has been a resident at the Atrium for a couple of years, and my family couldnt be happier! The staff is incredible! Between the quality of care she gets, the incredibly welcoming environment from day 1, and the wonderful activities staff (along with any other staff I may have missed), Peggy LOVES living at the Atrium! I couldnt recommend it enough! HUGE thank you to every single staff member at The Atrium. Working in a LTC myself, I understand how difficult last year was, and how difficult times continue to be. The staffs hard work and dedication to their residents does NOT go unnoticed, and it is GREATLY appreciated!

My husband had difficulty getting comfortable with his new situation. He's been there for 4 months now and he is so very much better with the routine. All of the staff worked very hard to make it right for him. They spent hours brainstorming what would work for him and never gave up. Also, the food is awesome and he loves his food!

My father lived at Atrium At Faxon Woods for over six years. My family and I could not have asked for better care for our dad. He was safe, engaged and as busy as he wanted to be during the day. He received excellent, quality care and we found the staff to be professional, friendly and always available to answer any questions. We were impressed by the affection shown to our dad and will always be thankful for the outstanding care he received.

My husband was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers disease when he was 54 years old. When his symptoms became worse and the disease progressed to the middle stages, I struggled with attending to his needs. Thankfully, after my husband was sent to Atrium at Faxon Woods I was able to relieve my stress as the staff there were very professional and supportive. They helped my husband transition smoothly into his new living space, which was spacious and designed specifically for patients in need of memory care. They also provided assistance in the form of onsite doctors, dental and hair salon services, and a variety of healthy meals during my husbands time at Atrium. I am thankful that he received a great deal of attention and care there.

I'am comfortable with my mothers move to this community. It is working out well for her, and her needs. They have a good staff, and they are providing her good care. I know she is safe, and in good hands in this facility. She is doing well since her move here, and I would recommend this community to my friends.
