Hi Beth - My husband Frank, my son Frank and myself had a very informative visit. You were very thorough and gave us a lot of information. I think we all learned a lot about the different offerings between Assistant Living and Independent Living. We enjoyed seeing the two different rooms; as well as some of the other services such as the library. It looked very clean and the grounds were well maintained. Thank you.

Beth set up an appointment for two friends and me to tour the facility when we were in town on vacation. It was attractive and clean with nicely furnished common areas. We were able to see 3 apartments, but no cottages were available at the time. Beth was helpful and answered all our questions. There weren't many people around when we were there, so we didn't talk to any of the residents, but got an overview of the place.

In response to the review posted a couple days ago. This is a facility that goes above and beyond in their work. They provide genuine care for the residents. I have never had an issue with the kitchen sending the right amount of food, in fact I have noticed they keep their kitchen well stocked for snacks and are more than happy to accommodate dietary preferences so residents are properly fed. I requested one of the rooms to be cleaned and came back a day later and the room was detailed clean and refreshed. During acute situations with residents staff have always properly advocated for the residents. Needs are addressed because staff know the patients. Staff work with intention to provide a positive and safe environment for residents. Management has always listened and cares deeply about resident well being and safety. If I could give the direct care staff and support systems like management, kitchen, maintenance, housekeeping 10 stars for their community centered approach I would. I love the residents as well and have never felt there was a concern from a resident that had to do with staff or food. It's hard to understand grief and feel the staff here respect the process and should not be bullied from staff who are self centered.

I recently relocated my parent to another facility. After 8 years, it was clear her care had declined quite a bit. Little to no activities, fighting for bathing and food issues. Obviously staffing is an issue and my parent was clearly unhappy. If you are looking for a quiet place- this is it but if you are looking for fun and activities with great food- go somewhere else.

It is apparent that the facility is very impressive, even more the staff takes very good care of our Mother. Until her memory started to fail she scoffed about moving to Texas to live with me.Good thing my sister found Sentry Hill.
