I cannot say enough goof things about Ransey Village. We thank god we got our mother with dementia into Ramsey. She was there approximately 8 months before she passed. We could trust in the fact that she was very well taken care of at Ramsey. The people that work there from the top execs to the dishwashers genuinely care about their clients as if they were their own family members. You could tell they take care of their employees as they stay working there and dont have the turnover that alot of these types of places have. I actually miss the nurses etc. that helped with my mother. It was so helpful to us to know that when we were not visiting our mother was treated like gold and that was a great feeling in this circumstance. They keep you so informed of everything going on with your loved ones.

Ramsey Village by far is a fantastic skilled rehab facility. My mom has a complicated case with her health. Everyone there has been fantastic with her needs, therapy, and recovery. Our biggest goal is to get her independent and return to her own home. My mom can be pretty spicy at times…… But everyone has been so supportive in her care! The meals are wonderful. Mallory has been such a help getting my mom through her recovery. The services / therapists are wonderful people…. The nursing staff are very kind,friendly and supportive!!! The environment has a positive attitude!!! Thank you Ramsey Village for all your hard work!!! Hopefully by the end of the month she's much stronger and can do everything herself.

My grandmother was recently at Ramsey Village for skilled care. She is a tough individual to handle, however, they loved her. Family relocated her to Ankeny only to be closer to her family. Otherwise, she would have loved to stay at Ramsey Village. My grandmother cried when she found out that she was leaving but also understood and wanted to be closer to her family but really liked the staff and her roomie!! Mallory was so helpful. She helped with every step of the transition process. I was informed on everything that was happening. She took time to get to know my grandmother life history and truly enjoyed hearing her story. I can't have asked for better care for my grandmother. Thank you team!

Just wanted to write this review! My wife Janice Taylor is here at Ramsey Village in the Bridges Unit. My wife is very happy here and she has fully adjusted to Senior Living here at Ramsey Village. Mallory, Jennie Starman, Lee Ann Starmen have made it very easy transitioning to Ramsey Village. The staff here at Ramsey Village are very professional and are helpful with any issues we may have. Ramsey Village has many different activities to make life interesting and educational. If your looking for a beautiful, secure and safe place for your loved one, I would highly recommend Ramsey Village!

My folk's have been at Ramsey Village not quite 4 months. The only complaint they have is the food is delicious and they give you more than they can eat. The staff at Ramsey Village are very kind and caring, they keep us up to date on their health and all issues that arise. The two shinning stars are Mallory W and Kari S.

The hardest thing I ever had to do was to tell Linda I could no longer provide the care she needed. A clean place and a happy staff were essential. I visited Linda over the course of her 11 months two to four times every week, roughly 150 times. I found the place clean. Linda was always clean, hair combed, clean clothes, bed made every time I visited. The staff was happy, which told me the administration treated them well, and the staff in turn treated Linda well. I found the staff friendly, many said hi to Linda whenever they went by her during my visits. Linda mentioned several times how happy the staff was. There were only two times that I thought the staff were unhappy - once Linda mentioned she didn't like the way a staff person spoke to another patient and one time I thought a staff member wasn't happy. I never encounter either staff member after those incidents. Whenever I talked with someone, they stopped doing was they were doing, gave me their full attention, answered my questions, and sometimes just listened to me ramble on. I was explained why Linda needed to be transferred from assisted living to memory care, to where she would receive hospice care, also informed about medicine changes. Rather than trying to single out incidents about the staff, I hope you got the picture of how my experience with Ramsey was. The next most difficult thing I encountered was leaving Linda after my visits. Knowing she was well taken care of brought me peace.

My husband has been at Ramsey Village for a little over a year now. I have been very impressed with the care he receives from both the nurses and the aides. If they are going to change his medicine or do any other things for him, they call and let me know what is going on. They have a doctor that comes in every week to check on the residents. Every day there is some activity they can do if they want to. The food is good. They are a little short-staffed at this time, but the employees they have do everything possible to meet the needs of everyone here. I would definitely recommend Ramsey Village over any other place I checked into.

Because I live alone hospital staff told me I needed to go to a skilled nursing facility to work on regaining function after knee surgery. I thought "oh no I'm not ready for a nursing home" But I was only there for a short period and everyone was so accommodating and friendly. From kitchen staff to nursing and PT all were excellent. We had to find a place for my aunt right away. The staff were very welcoming and kind. They quickly assessed her and had her placed in The courtyard Memory Care Unit. She really seems to love it there and says how great the food is The staff are all so helpful and kind. Really grateful to Laura Coco administrator for making it all happen so quickly. It is a very pleasant Place to visit with plenty of activities. I highly recommend Ramsey Village.

I can't say enough great things about our experience at Ramsey Village! Our mom was there for about 2 years starting with assisted living and ending with full care! The staff took wonderful care of her and said they loved having her there. She lived to be 100 years 9 months and 3 days. The last 9 days she was also with hospice. The staff worked great with hospice. The staff also cared about what was happening with our family. We were able to visit regularly. They furnished face shields when it was a requirement. They kept us informed on a regular basis. The units were very clean and did not have an odor. The staff was very willing to answer questions or find the answer if they did not know and get back to you! I would highly recommend to consider Ramsey Village if you are looking for a place for your loved one!

I had concerns about my dad. The Resident Liaison, the Executive Director and the Assistant DON, all sat down with me to listen and make sure that everything was being handled. My 84-year-old mother has had to come to Ramsey several times after a stroke-seizure or other medical issue since 2017, and every time the staff care for her and improve her quality of life with therapy. She has become friends with the staff and has even decided that if I have to leave for a short time, she will return to Ramsey for Respite Care. From the meals to the top-notch staff of therapists, we have no complaints. She would post herself, but her stroke makes it difficult to type. In her own words, she thanks ...all of the staff and especially the ones that helped me to get well to learn to walk better and to get my talking better. I would never go to any place except to Ramsey as they have the best place around here. This last visit was difficult at best due to current pandemic of COVID-19. She had spent 2 weeks in the hospital after her seizure without anyone to help her so when she went and spent 3 weeks at Ramsey, it lifted her spirits because she was anxious to begin the work of getting stronger and visit with her friends. Not every day is rainbows and unicorns, but Ramsey does their best every day to make it that way for their residents. The staff are passionate about their work and it shows in their efforts. ~ Vivian

After much research and many visits to other facilities to find a quality living apartment for dad, Ramsey ended up checking all the boxes for now and in the future. I feel he is getting the best care possible by a outstanding staff that makes it a comfortable and safe environment. I talk to him daily and trust me he would tell me if he wasnt happy. Ramsey Village has been amazing! My father in law fell in November ‘18 and he required surgery for a torn quadricep. He was the sole caregiver for my mother in law who has had significant decline in memory from dementia. He had surgery and we were able to place her in respit care while he was in the hospital. They determined she needed to be in the locked area in The Courtyards. It was a difficult transition. He was in assisted while recovering and doing therapy until he could be released. At that point he moved to independent living at Ramsey. They have both been there since November and Ramsey staff are exceptional. Great care, good food, everything is so clean. We have had numerous med changes for her and she is still struggling with giving up independence. Its very hard. But Ramsey is responsive, caring and kind. We couldnt ask for better care! No place is perfect but compared to so many places I have been, Ramsey goes above and beyond to do their best. Thankful to have them caring for our very loved family members.

Mom moved to Ramsey Village almost 3 years ago, first in an independent apartment, and recently to residential care where she has just a little more help that she needs. In all this time, Mom continues to say that she lives like a queen! She has made many friends at Ramsey, the food is excellent, and the people who take care of her are unfailingly kind and gracious.
