My mother has been living at Brookdale in Orland Park since 2021. The facility and ALL the staff are wonderful. We are very grateful because it’s home here and they treat us like family. I feel very confident and comfortable that she is well taken care of. The building is always decorated very beautifully for the holidays. They pay attention to every detail. They have holiday events for the families and residents which they put a lot of work into which are always awesome, especially all the food and entertainment. Johnnie, the chef, puts her heart and soul into the cooking and planning for the parties. I myself look forward to the parties and seeing everyone. They go the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy and content. My mom is very lucky to be here and to spend the last of her golden years here. 😊

I do not recommend this facility for Memory Care. It is a good facility for seniors who desire assisted living. For those with dementia and medical issues it is not appropriate. The overall presentation of the facility is superficial and does not reveal what goes on after hours and behind doors in the Memory Care unit. While there are a few caring staff in Memory Care, many do not have the medical skills and training to perform their jobs and are not competent to follow critical directives. Please do the research needed and seek help when looking for the best place for your loved one. From my personal experience, I would never place a family member in this facility and hope others do not have to experience the negative experiences that I encountered with my loved one.

My brothers and I moved my father to Brookdale recently. We had been looking for 4 months for the right place. Brookdale was the only place that met our needs. The people there are one big family caring for my father. They are inviting and happy to help no matter the need regardless of which community your loved one is in. They take into account the uniqueness of each resident and it shows with the daily routines that residents can participate in. Brookdale has significantly reduced our family's stress because we know our father is in a safe and caring environment support a world class team of individuals. Thank you.

The staff is great, they are very attentive, and helpful. They have accommodated many of our needs. This is a community I would recommend, it has worked out well for us. Brookdale was our first tour and really made us aware of the positive aspects of living in a senior environment.

My mother-in-law, suffering from end-of-life Alzheimers, spent her last two years in Memory Care at Brookdale Orland Park. All staff treated her exceptionally well - she was very happy during those years. The facility was always extremely clean. The staff was always extremely courteous. My wife and I could not have been happier with the experience.

Brookdale is a very friendly, well-engaged with guests, convenient and well-supported assisted living environment. They treat their guests as warmly and supportively as their own residents. You can be sure that your loved one is in great care and will be taken care of as a priority. Going through the pandemic, staff count has changed and while there are some changes going forward, it’s not something that has been concerning or greatly shifted when Covid was a bigger concern and on the rise. Thanks to persistence and keeping things up to date, on high alert- Brookdale of Orland Park seems to have things very well sorted and organized!

I stumbled upon Brookdale when I needed a respite for my mom before a planned out of state move. The initial level of care I received over the phone let me know that I didn't have to worry. Then when the planned move didn't pan out, Brookdale assured me there was room for my mom and she has been in their care ever since. And the staff just embraced my mom, giving her the care and safety that she needs.

This is in regard to the memory care unit at Brookdale of Orland Park, IL. My parent was there less than two years, suffered an unexplained broken rib, two bite wounds that drew blood, a drawer full of her medications that were never given to her which sent her down a road of such illness, always dirty, I repeat, always dirty, three changes of Executive Director as well as three Director of Nursing changes. Whenever I questioned staff, it always was pointed back to blaming my parents dementia! I called and had formal complaints filed and investigated by the Illinois Department of Public Health which found them at fault and fined them. However, fines in Illinois is like a slap on the wrist. More legal accountability for long term care facilities is needed As I navigated through all this garbage in this intolerable place, the rent jumped from $5300 to $6800! When I questioned them again, it dropped back to $6100. They did not like someone calling them out for their neglect and wanted me gone. I got her out of there as quick as possible.

I moved my mom to Brookdale on Saturday from another facility that was terrible. Walking into Brookdale was such a positive experience! All of the staff and the residents were happy and friendly and so far my mom has been treated very well. In the 3 days shes been there she has already received her first COVID vaccine, the in house doctor has seen her, the nurse called me to give me the update on her doctor visit, and theyve called to confirm that she will be seen by the in house home health nurse, OT and PT. Im so happy we moved her there! It has truly been a positive experience for us.

Brookdale Orland has been a wonderful setting for our mom who has advanced dementia. Staff are incredibly caring and responsive to her needs, understand the process of mental decline and encourage her socially, physically. We looked long for a place of this caliber and have been very happy.

I come to Brookdale almost daily to visit a family member. The staff is like an extended family. they treat the residents like royalty. They seem to know each resident and their likes and dislikes. The Brookdale Orland staff make me very comfortable knowing my loved one is being cared for. thanks to a special group of people.

My dad was at the Brookdale Orland Park for a short time. But it was a very good experience. The staff was wonderful and they were so accommodating, even after he was to be released from the hospital they tried to help us bring him back but his care needs had exceeded the care that they could provide. They took very good care of him and his needs, it was a very clean and well-kept environment. I would highly recommend Brookdale Orland Park to friends and family.

I would absolutely recommend Brookdale Orland Park because the nurse's aides have been great. They are conscientious and caring. The facility is clean and in good shape. It has been a positive experience so far since my mother moved in.
