I could not have been happier with the care received by our mother, and honestly us (the family) as well. She wanted to be in Florida and most of the family was out of state. She was bedridden and the staff made sure activities were brought to her. We never had to worry about her basic needs which were taken care of with efficiency and dignity. As her condition declined their services and compassionate care increased. We were able to take turns traveling and stay right with our mother. What made all the difference, however, was the staff. The hospice staff they parter with are second to none. The hospice care CNA was our lifeline as she could read my mother’s needs and advocate for any changes in care necessary. The Nurse/Doctor were very timely and responsive when contacted. What impressed me was how the staff really treated my mom like she was their own mother or grandmother. They would stop and visit even when she wasn’t on their rotation. There were a few nights no one could be with my mom and Vlad would sit with her when she was in pain until it could be managed. The Pierre’s were super attentive and treated mom with respect. The social worker, Chaplin, and activities coordinators were exemplary. Her medications were very well managed. My only recommendation would be to have a dual call button, one for emergencies, the other for care needs. Overall, when it is my time to need care, I hope I can find a place with the level of care that Windsor provided for my mother.

My wife and I were searching for a care facility for my older brother who was showing signs of dementia. We selected The Windsor of Venice. He has been with them for over a year and is very happy and look healthy. The staff knows him by name, his care has been exceptional. This facility is always clean and maintained well. I can't say enough, how grateful we are to the entire staff. Thanks for taking of my brother.

My parents have a lovely and light filled apartment at Windsor of Venice...all new paint and carpet when they moved in. The mgmt team was flexible in accommodating a quick move in and everyone jumped in to assist with anything they needed to get them settled. More importantly, we encountered a very caring team of workers whether in dining room, personal care/nursing or activities and administrative staff. It became like family very fast...what a sanctuary in the middle of Venice. Also loved the size, not too big.

Our parents have lived at the Windsor of Venice since early 2023. They chose the Windsor because, as our father said after they toured there, "It's homey!" The smaller scale and personal attention did, indeed, help our parents to make The Windsor their home. Activities led by staff and volunteers “ the twice weekly Bingo games, holiday celebrations, and events like car shows and visiting musicians “ provided many social opportunities for the busy pair. The availability of staff nurses 24 hours a day proved a plus as our parents had a number of health issues which were often evaluated or even addressed on-site. The excellent leadership of Healthcare Director Rebekah has also led to a flu clinic and podiatrist visits on-site, and she has been a helpful sounding board as health issues arose. The diligence of the med-techs who distributed medications ensured that our parents did not forget or miss their medications. The housekeeping and kitchen staff also acknowledged our parents’ preferences, and responded cheefully. When our father was diagnosed with terminal cancer, it was a huge relief to learn that he could receive hospice services in his room and remain with our mother to the end of his days. The partnership between the staff of both the Windsor and Affinity Care Hospice ensured that he received appropriate palliative care, and that every member of our family received good information and kind support in the days preceding his death and in the days that have followed. We feel fortunate that our mother will continue living in the place she calls home, and that Memory Care is an option for her if needed. We highly recommend the Windsor of Venice.

Our 99-year-old mom has been at the Windsor of Venice for about 18 months. I attribute much of her well being, positive attitude, and engaged spirit to all that the Windsor does for her. The Windsor offers all kinds of activities; my mom says she has more to do in the day than she has time for. As her personal needs have changed, the Windsor has been responsive, flexible, and caring. They are also attentive to me as well, always and quickly responding to my questions and initiating plenty of communications, especially during the pandemic. During the last year, the Windsor has been working very hard to keep their residents safe and well-tended. So many creative activities, within the bounds of strict protocols. Complaints? My mom is a picky eater, and she hesitates asking the staff for anything special. I wish she would do that, rather than tell me! I live 1000 miles away, so the Windsor is indeed a surrogate family for us all. I could not be more grateful.

My parents were at the Windsor for over two years and were lovingly cared for. I cannot speak highly enough about the place and the caregivers. My mother moved into memory care after my stepfather died at age 101 and she had great care in the memory care unit. Judy McDonald, sue french and Donna marino were wonderful to my parents. I biked over every day and they became like family to me. I love the place!

I had a senior friend named Duke who moved into the Windsor of Venice in Nov of 2017. We are so impressed with the staff, the cleanliness and the attention to detail in the care for the people who live at the Windsor. The hallways are wide, clean and brightly lit. Every door has a personal touch that reflects the person living inside the room. My wife and I visited the Windsor 3-5 times a week for 20 months and saw the same care taken whether it was 10 pm, 6 am or 12 noon. Every holiday is reflected in the ever changing decor. We have eaten in the dining room numerous times and found the food to be quite good, better than we expected. Our friend was an old Italian and there was "never enough sausage", but he enjoyed the food and looked forward to his meals. Towards the end of his life, many of the staff would bring him meals or if they knew the dining room was serving something he didn't like, a grilled cheese sandwich. The kitchen is great about providing alternatives! The Windsor is a special place, just visit and you will see what I mean. The staff really makes the difference....

A pretty place. The food, however, is very uneven in taste and quality.

In the beginning I felt blessed to have the help and assistance I needed to care for my husband. However, something has changed! Employees have turned over and the attention to training and response to concerns has fallen off greatly. Concerned and wondering...

I love to go to The Windsor and share poems with the residents. The wonderful Recreation Director Jivka is a very special lady. She truly cares and with her Artistic touch she creates a nice place for the residents to feel loved. The Windsor has a special clean ,cozy living room , at home feel. The staff are friendly and really nurturing and caring. The meals are healthy and varied. Always a pleasure visiting The Windsor! It's just like home.
