When it was time for my Mom to move into Assisted Living, we looked around before selecting the Chateau. She didn't expect to like living outside her "forever home" but she soon expressed her love for the place, the staff, and the residents who became her friends. The offered parties, outings, and events supported her in independence until she needed more help. Then, the team ramped up services when that time arrived. The Chateau consistently wins the Best of Carson Valley for a reason!

I would like to take a moment to thank The Chateau in Gardnerville specifically Jessica M. for the extraordinary care she and they provided to my mom during an incredibly emotional transition from another assisted living facility. They are not all alike! From the spacious, clean apartment to the beautiful grounds and activities, they have exceeded our expectations! Most importantly are the people! It starts from the top with an incredible, transparent and compassionate management staff to the exceptional staff of caregivers, maintenance workers, front desk and dining staff.....every one of them are amazing!! This facility literally changed my moms life and she is functioning at a much higher level due to their attentiveness and care she receives on a daily basis. I am forever grateful that their was a space for my mom here. Every person deserves to live their best life and I finally feel my mom has that. Thank you to the entire team at The Chateau. I would encourage anyone searching for a community for a loved one, or for themselves to tour The Chateau at Gardnerville. Their community is beautiful, they have an incredible leadership team and support staff - I have no doubt that they believe in what they do, and they truly love and care for each and every resident in their community. I am constantly impressed and moved by their team, their mission, and their desire to make Senior Living some the most exciting and fulfilling times in the lives of each person they care for. Daily, I am thankful for their presence here in Gardnerville. I would recommend The Chateau to anyone I know.

Our family is grateful to The Chateau at G-ville. Rescued my Dad out of a state-governed rehabilitation facility next door where he stayed 90 days post a 1-week hospital stay after a fall at his home. Dad literally went from a 1-star facility to the 5-star Chateau; the Chateau is equipped with the appropriate volume of staff, excellent healthy food, caring nurses and CNA's, and an incredible partnership with hospice and related teams. Their memory care unit is awesome. Jess is fantastic. Well worth the wait list to get into this place. This is Dad's home now and we love visiting him many times a week. The vibe is peaceful. My father-in-law stayed on the assisted living side of The Chateau 5 years ago and the team was awesome then too. Very very positive experience. What a difference. Appropriate leadership, governance and care. It's all about quality care and embracing what is best for the residents. Thank you to everyone there.

I moved my father into The Chateau in Gardnerville 10 months ago from an assisted living facility in the Seattle area. There is no comparison. The staff is so caring and helpful. The food is very good and they make sure he is happy with the food and service. He has the same thing every morning and they have it ready when they see him coming. His eye sight is failing and they cut up his meals and describe what is on his plate. Now that is service! The staff always greets him by name and with a smile. The management team could not be better. The service and care everyone provides is top notch. I am so pleased my father is living at The Chateau.

I love this place! I teach Tai Chi to the residents weekly because I just love the vibe. The staff is so genuinely warm, caring and fun! I care for my 98 yo mother full-time, but in the event that she needs more care, I’ll move her into the Chateau!

The facility has great views. Staff has been wonderful. The price increases have been much greater than what I was quoted while the food has deteriorated since being here. I'm rethinking about my future plans. I feel duped.

Be prepared for your monthly costs to increase rapidly, while quality of food, care and cleanliness drop. My mother’s care costs have increased 30% in 14 months! Ownership changes often. With each new owner comes an increase in rent and services, while they gut food, care and cleaning.

My Dad was here for a short 14 months but I can’t say enough about the staff, Jess, Melody and Leanne to name a few. Always polite, professional and caring. The facility is clean and inviting. The view of the snow covered mountains is pretty cool too.

The entire staff at The Chateau have been exceptional!! Jess is amazing.. helping with every single detail and making Lu feel welcome from our first meeting. From the front desk , floor staff, to the TV guy.. every single interaction was positive and welcoming!!

Their memory care staff did not inform me that my mother had stopped eating and drinking until 3 days had passed. She had also had 3 more falls I was not informed about. My mother was on hospice care and I should have been allowed to visit. By the time I was allowed to see my mother, she was incoherent and writhing in pain. My father required further assistance that he frequently did not receive. When he started hospice care, the director tried to deny my visits, and spoke to him about moving to memory care behind my back. It took an intervention from hospice for me to be allowed to visit. The rest of the staff seems caring and pleasant, but I wouldn't trust the director to care for my plants.

My husband and I have lived at The Chateau Gardnerville for three weeks. I could not imagine a nicer place to live! Not only are the rooms cozy and updated, but the architect took full advantage of the wonderful views of the Sierras. Beautiful views from many rooms. However, I must say that what I am most impressed with is the warm and caring staff. The are so friendly and kind and HAPPY! It’s wonderful to receive greetings (by name) and food service with cheerful smiles. I have never met a nicer, kinder group of people. It is such a pleasure to live here!

My father has been a resident at the Chateau at Gardnerville for more than a year. The facility is clean, modern, and well maintained. Food service is great - nice variety on the menu and the food is high quality! The staff is friendly and truly care for the residents. The medical and caregiver staff are exceptional. We recently had to increase Dad's level of care, and the process was seamless. As he improved, we had a successful transition to a lower level of care. Looking for fun activities? The activity staff puts on a great program for the residents and families. The management team is without peer, and it shows throughout the community. Five stars doesn't come easy, except for the Chateau at Gardnerville. They make it look very easy!
