They have been so nice to me and my wife since she's been here it's like one big happy family there. The RC Mary v is so nice and works well with her team. I definitely recommend sunrise it's a really nice place for your love ones. You won't be disappointed.

A friend of mine moved into the Sunrise East Meadow after much consideration of what he would be missing from his everyday life. When looking for a place to live we were all confused, concerned and worried that he would not get the care he needed. Once he was there we had to worry no more. He was well taken care of. He had many angels there that he loved to see walking in the door. We wanted to make sure he was well taken care of as he could longer use of his left side. The decision was the right one. I can't imagine anywhere else that would give the care, compassion, and affection that was given to him. Thank you to his caregivers you are the best.

I moved my dad from The Bristal in North Hills to the Sunrise in East Meadow on the first of October 2018. His health needs became more demanding that what The Bristal was licensed to provide. I have been so impressed with the staff here and the housekeeping. The aids are very kind, compassionate and caring. The meals are good and served in a home kitchen atmosphere and the group activities are in smaller more intimate groups. Theres generally a family feeling here. That differs from The Bristal which is formal. Here at Sunrise people dont wear uniforms. Everyone is comfortable in their own clothes and looks nice. The aids wear company aprons. I think it makes people more comfortable. My dad needs a lot of assistance and everyone that helps him is very skilled and kind. The team is proactive, people from the Wellness Department take responsibility and make decisions but also will call me anytime and let me know whats going on. Theyve been very cooperative and easy to work with. If I had to make the choice over again I would have had Dad here earlier and not waited until he needed more care. The Reminiscence facilities are really clean and nicely run by professional staff at every level.

My Mother was a resident of Sunrise’s dementia care area, Reminisce for 2 ½ years and they took exceptional care of her. Even 2 years ago her dementia was very advanced and as a result her mobility and ability to interact was limited. Regardless, the staff under Mary Vouloukos’ leadership, treated her like part of the family and showed her the compassion and love she deserved. For that I will be eternally grateful.

My mother has been a resident of the Sunrise of East Meadow for 5 1/2 years. The facility is beautiful, and the care that my mother receives is extraordinary! She tells me all the time how much she loves living at the Sunrise and I love that she is surrounded by caring and compassionate people. Being wheelchair bound, she has difficulty getting around, but the staff makes sure that she attends all of her favorite activities. I sleep at night knowing that my mom is happy and well cared for, and that is a very high compliment in my book!!

My grandmother moved into this community from another assisted living, a little over a year ago and I have nothing but great things to say. Out of all the assisted livings I have toured they had the most staffing. Multiple nurses throughout the building and anytime I have a concern it is addressed immediately. The community isnt just pretty on the outside, they actually provide the care you are being told is available and much more!
