I had full intentions of keeping my husband here even though the food is terrible, the administration is the worst, and there are no real activities you can count on except bingo. However the staff was inexperienced and in too much of a hurry because of staff shortages to take care of my husband’s physical needs. I was mad every day he was in there. Thank goodness I found a place that satifies all his needs and goes the extra mile with a smile

Activities are frequently canceled or underwhelming. Maintenance IS a safety issue. Staff seem to care, but are unable to make improvements.

The assisted living building is old, dirty, smelly and in need of updates. I can't believe how expensive it is to live in such unkept conditions. It really is sad to see for patients. Staff turnover is constant, unorganized and not very resourceful. Thankful for some of the friendly nurses.

I have lived at Allegria Village Independent Living for a little over three years now. There are many things about The Village that I like. First is security. I have a first-floor apartment with a patio that has sliding doors leading out to it. I never have to worry about intruders. Security staff patrol the grounds and hallways night and day. Also, I have been able to have a flower garden around my patio. Maintenance has allowed me to freely design the area as I like. They have even helped when I needed to remove stumps or other impediments as I was preparing the ground. There are also other areas for planting vegetables gardens for those who choose. Quite a few of the support staff are younger people (some even high school and college aged who work in the cafeterias and other areas). It is refreshing to see and talk to them. I was a high school and junior college instructor and still being able to see them and talk with them is such a pleasure. There are numerous other activities for independent living residence to enjoy. Allegria Village Independent Living offers not only a caf© and two restaurant’s , but also their own television station, a beautiful Chapel, unisex hair salon, fully equipped gym, heated swimming poor with hot tub, physical therapy and massage therapist suites, health care clinic, dog park, onsite pet grooming, golf simulator, pickle ball court and other outdoor recreation spaces. The Resident life’ staff not only sponsor many activities but assist residents who want to start and lead activities themselves.

My mom(Marsha H) has been living here for over a year and it’s home now. The staff And securityis always so friendly and helpful anytime she needs anything, And I see them treating the other residents with care as well. It gives me such a feeling of peace, knowing that she’s made so many friends and gets to participate in activities and enjoy her time.

Im here for rehab and the therapy here is very precise. Staff is extremely professional and so kind. Housekeeping here is great but need to work on more staff. Cynthia is great and aide Aileen is exceptional. Rosie and Jalisha are very caring and professional. LPN Sharika is very sweet to me and caring. I would recommend this place to friends.

The nursing staff was very attentive. I had an open wound that they took care of daily. The CNA’S were very helpful, especially Rosie, Aliene and LaPreea.

Transportation Providers and vendors BEWARE - They don't pay vendors! They breach contracts! I, finally, many months later and after hiring an attorney, received payments for the transportation services we have provided for four months. I trusted them with my business, but they knowingly did not conduct theirs professionally.

A complete Horrible nightmare!!!!! Do not come to this place , I was promised a 55 plus apartment July 5, 2024 and it was not ready on my move in date in addition to the day before and the day of my move in 3 water leaks in my apartment, the tenant upstairs from me came down to notify me that his apartment had water leaking in to mine for weeks and maintenance has not came to fix it. My apartment was not only leaking and not ready but was not cleaned, had blinds missing , windows and screens, cracked, a hole in the bathroom ceiling and living room ceiling, no appliances, mold in the bathroom ceiling, silverware and trash in the kitchen drawers. The management team doesn't care about you and they are not willing to resolve the issues as a result of their neglect and mis management. This is the worst experience ever and a very unorganized pathetic place. They don't want to put me a in a new apartment nor can they fix the multiple problems in the apartment, it should have Never been leased out to anyone. Shame on everyone who participated in this diaster!!! I had to give 1 star to place a review but they deserve NO STARS and a 0 rating!!!

Careful, the majority of these happy replies are when Henry Ford Village ran the place. They ended up with money problems and the Allegra, a company “for profit” took over in 2021. I will tell you my monthly cost has gone up appreciatly since Moved in in 2013, even this year although the company told me “there would not be ANY increase for three years!

Quality has suffered since the new management took over. Specifically the: - Quality of the food and number of choices - Appearance of the buildings and landscaping - Hand soap in the men's room in the assisted living area was out each week I visited. - Availability of physical therapy for my dad was so undependable he moved to another facility. - Availability of nursing staff during the night shift was sparse. My dad could not get taken care of. We hope things will improve when he returns.
