My 93 yo father was a resident at Granite Ledges and the experience could not have been better. The staff is warm and professional and highly attentive while encouraging independence. I live out of state and communication was excellent - everyone was responsive, clear and supportive. It made a huge difference as I transitioned my father from a difficult situation. The food and range of activities are impressive and flexible. I highly recommend GL for the happiness and health they gave my father and the peace of mind they gave me.

Granite Ledges provides a safe, supportive environment for the individuals who live there. I have a family member who has been at Granite Ledges for over 5 years and have been incredibly pleased with the care they receive. Staff are friendly, helpful, take time to get to know the residents and truly care for them. They have also provided support to me and my family as we have had to navigate declining health and memory challenges. The building and grounds are lovely. I highly recommend Granite Ledges to anyone who is looking for a safe supportive environment for an aging family member.

I recently visited my 89 yr old aunt at her new home/apt at Granite Ledges.. It was so heartwarming to see how happy she was.. (She had been very adamant about staying in her own home.) She absolutely loves Granite Ledges. She tells me she has a new social life and is sleeping and eating so well... She has a new glow for sure.. Thank you to Granite Ledges for putting that big carefree smile on her face!!

Their dining room is huge and they offer many food options. They offer many different activities daily, from exercises to playing many board games or just chatting while drinking coffee and having a snack! My Aunt is 95 and has been living at Granite Ledges for over 2 years and enjoys it! She has an apartment with a separate bedroom from the living room and kitchen area. The meals are good and she gets socialization in the dining room and through activities such as exercise class and bingo. I would highly recommend Granite Ledges!

Granite Ledges has provided the most professional and caring services anyone could expect to receive from an assisted living facility. The staff has committed themselves to nothing less than the highest of standards in caring for their residence. My Aunt who has resided there over the last 2 years is completely content.
January 2022
The staff work hard to provide a home like atmosphere for those who reside there. If you ever need a respite stay, looking for a memory care unit I recommend contacting Lindsey she is a pleasure to work with getting your loved one in. One of the best assisted livings in the area.

As a healthcare professional myself, it is obvious Granite Ledges cares for their patients and makes the extra effort to bring them the best care possible.

Granite Ledges provides a safe, supportive environment for the individuals who live there. I have a family member who has been at Granite Ledges for over 4 years and have been incredibly pleased with the care they receive. Staff are friendly, helpful, take time to get to know the residents and truly care for them. They have also provided support to me and my family as we have had to navigate declining health and memory challenges. The building and grounds are lovely. During Covid-19, staff have provided weekly updates on the protocols and supports they have in place. They hosted ZOOM meetings so we can see our loved ones and have now transitioned to in person visits with appropriate safety measures. I highly recommend Granite Ledges to anyone who is looking for a safe supportive environment for an aging family member.

I have visited this site many times over the last 5 years. I have run many of the Race to the Ledge races that leads me to interact not just with the staff, but many of the residents of Granite Ledges that reside there. I can report that the staff is friendly, caring and supportive and the residents seem very happy there. I can also attest, the food is very yummy!

Not happy with trying to set up respite care for my husband who is in late stages alzheimer's at age 65. I set him up to spend a 24 hr stay about a month ago ...found out about a week ago (not a big deal) that minimum stay was 3 days. so, spoke with someone about doing it. i was also told covid test was required. he was tested yesterday (4 days before stay). Then through further contact..i found out my husband would be confined to room for the entire stay (but could go outside)...even with a negative test which he had. what's the point then of getting a test? so, yesterday i was in touch with facility to confirm his stay...nursing supervisor contacted me today for many questions about my husbands needs. i got a call shortly after saying they can't take him. I asked them why. The said covid. I was told maybe the best way to get respite care was personal nurse !! REALLY? Couldn't they have told me that a month ago when I first contacted them....Between the 3 or 4 different people I talked to didn't know that they didn't know they weren't doing respite care. Just dealt with them the last 5 weeks regarding getting my husband a few days there for respite care (he is late stages alzheimers). Poor results. I had booked him initially dec. 1 a 24 hour stay for Jan. 9. was told he needed covid test. with further contact, found out 3 days was minimum stay and that he would be confined to room even with negative test. (so what's the point of a test?) so i told them to pick the 3 consecutive days around the 9th. got a call from them yesterday to solidify stay. today got a call from nurse supervisor with several questions about husbands health, needs, etc. they got back to me to tell me they couldn't take him! I asked why...because of Covid! I would have thought that was implemented back months ago...not just now. they suggested i get at home personal nurse. Too much care for them to handle! I am at wit's end with all the time I spent lining this up and was looking forward to a break. With the 3 or 4 different people i dealt with none of them knew this.

My family member moved to Granite Ledges nearly seven years ago, after living independently in the same house for over 50 years. From the start, the entire staff helped ease a difficult transition, and continue their kindness and caring to this day. There is a tremendous respect for a residents desire for independence, despite limitations that may be present. The current pandemic presents a challenge for all long term living facilities, and Granite Ledges has risen to the occasion. Not only have the staff kept those who live there safe and healthy, they have kept family members informed on a regular basis through Zoom calls twice weekly. This long separation has been difficult for residents and family members alike, but the staff has continued to find numerous ways, both large and small, to improve the quality of life over the past five months. Highly, highly recommend.
August 2020
My experience at Granite Ledges has been extremely positive. My sister has disabilities which require extra effort and patience to deal with, and the Granite Ledges staff have gone out of their way to be supportive of her and to treat her with respect and caring. For example, they have encouraged her gardening passion to the extent that her flowers and produce have now been used at the facility. The staff has been, without exception, responsive to my questions and they have really gone the extra mile during this Covid period. And my sister loves the food - not often said about institutional cuisine, but Granite Ledges is a huge upgrade from her previous facility.
May 2020
I have a relative that has lived at Granite Ledges for about two years, and the care at this facility has completely exceeded my expectations. My family member acclimated quickly to living at Granite Ledges, and I sleep well at night knowing shes in good hands. During the pandemic (as of July 24, 2020), there were no cases of CV detected in any of the residents. Two staff tested positive for CV but it speaks to the care of this facility that the staff was able to detect these two cases quickly, and protect the remaining staff and all residents from becoming positive for CV or Covid. Staff is very receptive to specific requests that Ive made for my family member, and also lets me know when something is needed. We looked at about five facilities within 20 miles of Concord, and Granite Ledges was the best option by far. Weve been very pleased and would recommend this facility to anyone seeking a home for a loved family member.
April 2020
My mother has been a resident of Granite Ledges in Concord, NH for over 10 years. Our family has been very pleased with the care given to my Mom. The facility and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. More importantly, the staff is top notch and very caring. While there has been the inevitable turnover in personnel over the past ten years, there never seems to be any slip in the services provided to the residents. The food and dining room are also excellent. If you are considering placing a loved one in a long-term care facility, Granite Ledges warrants a serious look. Bob and Elaine Mielcarz
