I've been in the building many times for personal and professional reasons. Each time the whole staff was welcoming and attentive. I know people who had loved ones here and even though they had to move out, the family still speaks highly of the place. When I went in recently, I toured with Eli, she was so vibrant and open to giving me her time. The updated apartments look great, and the neighbors were very kind to a guest walking in their home. Kevin Kuhlman has been my contact here for years and he is a great resource and asset to the community.

Kudos to Jaren Grenfell who fixed the automatic laundry room door which had been broken for many months! I really like living here, even though it can be noisy, and repairs can take a while. Staff and residents are friendly and helpful. Food is good. Activities are numerous and fun. I especially like having the pool available.

Very noisy building and old building! Way too many activities going on at the same time. No help whatsoever when you need it. Low pay for employees so they hire anyone! Housekeeping is a joke! Fifteen minutes to clean a one bedroom apartment because they don’t have enough help. They drain your money while yearly increase your rent. Promise after promise with no results. Very bad place to live for your retirement years.

EDIT: Had to revise this to a 3 star) At first glance Cogir seemed to be a very nice place. Being a new POA for my father, and being smack in the middle of the pandemic, we took trust in this facility and the staff. The first several months were good. Then some of the key staff that we considered to be above and beyond had left, which changed the dynamics of the facility. Everything went OK until my father's hypoxia/hypocapnia had suddenly flared up, causing him a long stay in the hospital and then a after a long stint in rehab, I finally got him back into Cogir. This part was good ... but the cost of care went up by almost 50%! As my father got better and no longer needed that extra assistance, the price never went down, instead comments like "strange behaviour" were being cited as a reason to keep the cost up, which was really due to a CO2 condition that the resident nurse never caught or read in the return paperwork from the hospital. As his condition cleared, he was back to normal. Also, many of the night staff were young and very inexperienced. The director at the time was very empathic however. Cogir could be a better choice if the staff was better trained, and hopefully by now it is.

Cogir Senior Living Community in Mill Creek is a warm and welcoming place for seniors. Losing our dad unexpectedly, we were at a loss as to what to do with our mom who has moderate dementia and could no longer safely live on her own, but was not ready for any type of a nursing home. Meeting with Kevin in the sales office and touring the well kept grounds helped us navigate such a big decision for mom and her dog, Zoey. Kevin and his counterpart Shawn showed us care and compassion from our very first meeting as they worked diligently as a team to find us the perfect independent living apartment with the amenities that were important to us. Not only is Cogir conveniently located, onsite they host numerous events and activities. Music, bbq’s, holidays and even a classic car show. Housekeeping, laundry service, various dining options and concierge services available. You will also find on the premises church, cinema, billiards and they even have happy hour. Cogir not only makes sure that mom is doing well, but also treats family and friends like we are part of their community. 5 months in and Mom and Zoey are both social butterfly’s and happily living their best lives with all their new friends at Cogir. My wife and I helped her Dad move into Cogir Mill Creek and we had an exceptional experience. David was our primary leasing contact, and he provided top notch service throughout the process. Everyone was very accommodating. The room was nicely renovated, clean, the grounds and facilities are well kept, and the location across from Mill Creek Towncenter is great.
