We were invited to a small Car Show they had for the residents. Was a wonderful thing they did, I enjoyed all the employees that I came into contact with very friendly and you could tell they loved there job. Albert Vasquez coordinated the Car Show and he did an awesome job, you can tell he loves his job and the residents.

As you can imagine, moving a parent can be stressful for you and traumatic for your parents. The rep I worked with, Alyson Mitchell, jumped through hoops to make this such a smooth process. She guided us in finding the apartment that best fit my mothers needs and even helped us find a mover that could meet the timeline my mother wanted. Move in date is a week away. My Mom is looking forward to this next chapter of her life at Juniper Village.

Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront is a beautiful place to be. It is the only senior independent living community that comes with all sorts of amenities in the Kerrville and surrounding areas. They also have a small assisted living. The leadership team has years of longevity, 9 years up to 25 years, that says a lot to me about This community. Amazing staff, amazing food, and all of the residents seem so happy to be there.

My name is Pat. I moved here from a nearby town with my husband 7 years ago. He passed away a month after we moved in. I am so grateful, God put me here where I have many friends and have had the opportunity to share my life with others. I do enjoyed being an ambassador for new residents and for being in charge of the ambassadors program. The staff are so caring and aware of our needs. When I wake up in the morning I look forward to my prayers, and I feel very blessed that we can share our prayers with my neighbors in our community chapel during church services. Since I can not drive anymore I still have access to be able to shop and go see my doctors through the community and friends.

For someone (or their family) who is looking into senior living options in the Kerrville area, I encourage you to tour Juniper. From the entrance, through the front lobby, down the hallways and in the dining rooms during meals and/or activities, you will find residents visiting and interacting with each other, staff members and outside visitors. The community offers all day dining, housekeeping, engagement programs, 24-hr monitoring and support of a clinical team. The staff work closely together in ensure a welcoming, energetic, fun-loving environment for the residents who are equally as energetic. A rehabilitative gym is on-site, allowing residents to receive therapies without needing to leave the community. Willows at Home is an internal program geared toward assisting residents with some activities of daily living such as shower assist or medication reminders, which allow residents to continue living independently. The staff puts on many programs throughout the year to keep residents engaged while also inviting members of the Kerrville community to join the fun, as the photo below shows from the 2023 Halloween Party and Haunted House. Give them a call to set up a visit or stop by if you are in the neighborhood!

I have known several people who have lived here over the years and were very pleased with the facility, so I had hoped to move my mom here. I met with Elizabeth and was given a grand tour. Elizabeth is very knowledgeable, warm, and understanding of her clients needs. All of the staff and the residents here that I have met are very friendly and outgoing. Two things I really appreciate about Juniper is the physical rehab room with great therapists; and the family/conference room, where a large family can have a private celebration with their relative. Juniper Village is the only facility of its kind in the county, with both independent and assisted living. I am soo glad it's here.

I moved here while this place went through the COVID YEAR. My meals were brought to the door. They were very good. After it was over, I began eating in the dinning rooms. The community is very good with keeping up with shots for COVID. There was a time there was no expensive for transportation, now there is a $10 dollar charge for a round trip. That can be kinda hard for some. I would rate the staff another number 5 and I mean that! Activities, they try to honor all of the holidays with get togethers. Weekends are possibly the worst times, because most of the staff is gone and I know they need their brake but my luck if anything happens, it happens on a weekend and there is not a nurse present. We are fortunate to have Timothy and Dan they are the maintenance crew and they are doll faces. They are real congenial to the residents. This will be my home when I turn toes up. I feel blessed here and I get to enjoy a beautiful view from my apartment.

The Resident's average age here is about 85. They gather to enjoy all activities that are provided, but the best part about seeing the residents doing is, watching them engage after hours amount each other. Sitting around having evening coffee, tea or wine talking about their day or family. Staff here treats the residents equally no matter what their choices maybe. I stand up for that!

Independant and Assisted Living services. They offer a program called Willows at Home for any additional add on service to help keep the resident safe in their independently apartment. They have upbeat residents. The residents enjoy getting to know each other. The food here is very tasty and they always provide a dessert. The community has a cheerful atmosphere. They have live entertainment for the residents and is a pet friendly community!

The reason I moved to Juniper is, my wife passed away in Kerrville, and I came to this community after a surgical procedure. I decided to become a resident and chose independent living because they offer many amenities, specifically Willows at Home (in-house private care service). My favorite thing about Juniper is getting up to an already prepared breakfast every morning and the staff knows my individual preferences.

I’m an area social worker and I had a client who needed to make a life style change; she needed more support, more opportunities for socializing and a more positive atmosphere. She has many friends who visited and assisted with errands; she still just needed a little more. She was hesitant to look at Juniper Village because she thought would be too expensive (it isn’t!), she imagined everyone who lives there is old and boring (not true!) and she was worried about potential high-pressure sales. Her doctor and her family strongly encouraged her to make a change, so she agreed to let me contact Juniper Village on her behalf. I spoke to a representative about the situation and she went above and beyond to assist. The rep made a house call (amazing!) and brought over a video tour of the community, explained everything about the community with upfront pricing and patiently answered all questions. Since my client didn’t want to drive but did want to visit, the rep made arrangements to pick her up later that week for lunch there and to see an apartment. There was no pressure to move, just patience, understanding and kindness. When my client did decided to move in to Juniper Village, I asked her what helped her make her decision. She said it was because everyone was so upbeat and positive, the food was fantastic (she admits she can be hard to please in this area) and the neighbors she met were wonderful. She is thriving in her new apartment at Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront!

I agree about the staff. Great location and none of these places are cheap. This place deserves a better rating. Supervisor Lauren has always been very helpful. One time Matt, the driver, had staff sent to help my dad find his cell, and drove him to att store to make sure he got it renewed. The service is what sets them apart.
