My mother spent the final phase of her life at John Evans Supportive Living Community. My family and I could not have asked for a more compassionate, attentive, and supportive environment for her. Steve made the application process less complicated than what I anticipated. From the moment that my mother arrived at John Evans, the staff made her feel cared for and respected. Thank you to the nurses Cher and Susan and their team of CNA's whose warmth and dedication brought real peace and comfort not just to my mother, but to our whole family. The business manager Susan's leadership and personal attention that she dedicates trickles down to her staff. Susan was always accessible, supportive, and genuinely involved. When my mother was transferred to a hospital for her final days, Susan kept in touch and was supportive. Losing a loved one is never easy, but knowing my mother spent the last phase of her life surrounded by people who truly cared made all the difference. My family and I will always be grateful to the staff at John V Evans Supportive Living Community. I wholeheartedly recommend it to other families seeking compassionate care for their loved one.

From the application process to approval the staff at John Evans have been amazing. A shout out to Steve for all of his help. A special shout out to Susan W., she is a true advocate for Seniors needing assisted living. So calm and helpful through the process, which can be tedious. My mother loves the meals, served restaurant style and variety of choices. A monthly calendar on the website which is great for me to know what is going on during the day to inform my mother. Thankful for this place for my mother.

While they took care of my mother in law whole she was there, once she passed they gave her family just 2 days, 2 DAYS!, to clean out her apartment! This family is grieving and trying to process what happened, and trying to arrange a funeral, and all John Evans is worried about is getting that apartment cleaned put so they can get someone else in there to keep that money rolling in. Shame on you John Evans!

My bad e perience was as Pekin Manor. If someone falls one time at your place you will say they cannot live there any longer and ship them over to PEKIN MANOR. I WAS THERE LITTLE OVER TWO WEEKS AND THEH KEEP YOU IN BED OR IN A WHEELCHAIF BECAUSE SO BIG YOU CANNOT WALK AND I ENDED UP WITH A BEDSORE BEFORE I TRANSFERED OUT OF PEKIN MANOR. I HAVE BEEN IN MA Y REHABS. AND PEKIN MA OR AFFILIATED WITH YOUR FACILITY WAS THE WORST NURSING HOME/REHAB. I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. TRUE FACT.

Mom has lived her almost 7 years and loves her home at John Evans. Its a beautiful place to live as well as being very safe. Mom always tells us the food is wonderful. Pre pandemic we would eat with mom occasionally. They have gone above and beyond during this quarantine to keep the residents busy and happy! We can rest assured that mom is happy, healthy and safe at John Evans.

I visit supportive living facilities as part of my job. I have always been impressed by John Evans. They have many long-time employees who really care about their residents. The community is always clean and nicely decorated and feels homey. I like their selection of food, for the residents and they have a great group of residents. There are ample activities to keep residents engaged and active. I think its a great supportive living community and recommend it as a top facility in the area.

This is a great place. The staff has always been professional and helpful for the needs of their residents and families. I have referred families to John Evans which is something that I never do, because what makes one person happy doesnt make another. However in this cases I have made an exception and the families I have sent there have been very satisfied and well taken care of. It is a clean and happy environment for seniors. Cuddos to them and their staff for a job well done.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful! I have had the privilege of helping out the Activity Department from time to time and they always go above and beyond to make sure their residents are happy and having a good time. This is a very nice place with a lot of caring people.

My mother moved in recently and has been very happy with the facility and meals, her apartment, all the staff and the positive atmosphere they promote, the activities available, and the friendly residents. As the daughter of a John Evans resident, I am so pleased for her and have such peace of mind that she is living in such a fine place. The office staff are extremely helpful and collaborative with navigating paperwork also.

However, John Evan's has been wonderful for mom and she now often tells me she is very happy in her new home and loves the people. After visiting multiple local retirement centers, I came across John M. Evans Living Community. I am so impressed with how It feels like home and the staff is really nice and caring. Laurie Hill has been so nice and helpful and the place is so nice and clean. I am thankful that there is a place for mom that I am finally comfortable with.

My parents are living there. Even though they cannot always do ever thing they do. I know they enjoy the music they have several times. They enjoy sitting outside after breakfast and lunch. It was such an awesome experience being at John Even's this last month visiting with my Parents. The place looks like a gorgeous apartment building but in reality it is more like a loving community where the staff is always ready to show care and concern for each one of their residents. Meals are delicious and the activities are so much fun. Hated to leave but left happy knowing my parents are in such good hands.

This is my other home...I love my days there, to make a difference and be the person...that's what it is all about! We care for everyone, anyone... supportive living is only available in Illinois, for all who can and can't afford it! Not lifestyles of the rich and famous, it's lifestyles of all the grandparents who need a helping hand,a smile to brighten their day,a hug to warm their heart and soul...we are the difference, we care! Money it's not our focus, if you need help call us... help for all who need to live the better life!

What a lovely place to visit. It must be a true blessing for the Residents. Smiles are bountiful and hugs are abundant. The love between the Staff and Residents is palpable. It is obvious that this is not a building or a facility. It is truly a community.
