Just visited a few days ago, the staff were so kind! They provide many activities for the residents. The facility was beautifully decorated and modern. The food being served was freshly made by their chef who did a wonderful job! I would highly recommend Independence Village to anyone who is interested! 10/10

I have spent a great deal of time in Senior Living communities across the United States and this place left an incredible impact on me. The philosophy of care, the smiling employees, and the feeling inside the building was incredible. You really believe them when they say they will put the care and safety of the residents first and treat them as their own family. The staff seemed to be happy to be there and thrilled to see everyone that walked in. I truly believe this would be a tremendous place for anyone!

I had the opportunity to visit this community last week and was so impressed by how clean and beautiful it is. The entire place has such charm and uniqueness about it. It is located in the perfect spot with access to so much. They have a fantastic team of leaders who are committed to resident experience.

I have been with Independent Village of Ankeny since July of 2020. I came right in the middle of the pandemic and was impressed with the precautions used for both resident and staff alike. Safety continues to be a high priority as the world opens up more and more. My team is not only supportive and never get tired of my incessant questions about how to do my job properly but fun to work with. I have the privilege of working with staff in every department: nursing, culinary, administrative, maintenance and life enrichment. I enjoy that opportunity as it allows me to be associated and make friends with all employees in the building. There is always laughter somewhere during the day no matter how busy we get or how close we are to deadlines of completing our jobs. I would recommend Independence Village of Ankeny to anyone searching for employment. It was one of the best decisions I made after just having moved to the area from another state.

My grandparents have lived here for nearly two years and have had a wonderful experience. The staff has been attentive, communicative, and supportive of their needs. They communicate with us very well if they have any problems or concerns. My grandparents have nothing but positive things to say about their time and the staff at Vintage Hills. The facility is always clean and well looked after.

My father lived the last three years of his life here. He created many close friendships with the caregivers. Everyone was patient with him and he was well taken care of. All the staff at The Vintage Hills was so kind, understanding and truly generous with our entire family. The piece of mind our family had with him in this facility has been priceless. All management, administrative, kitchen staff and caregivers welcomed all of us with open arms and they went the extra mile to make sure our needs were met and our concerns were heard and our compliments were appreciated. Our sincerest gratitude to all of you for guiding us through the final days of our dads (and grandfathers) life, with such tenderness and care. Your kindness will stay with us for the rest of our days. Your generosity has helped shaped our views of life and transitioning care, for the better. In the fall of 2019, my dad fell and fractured his back while at home. After 10 days of hospitalization, we realized he needed to move into assisted living. It was a very stressful time for our family. After meeting with some other local care facilities and subsequently with Jim, Deb, and Ryan a few times, we decided to bring Dad to Vintage Hills in Ankeny. You always want the best for your loved ones and hope the decision you make is the right one. The Vintage Hills staff is wonderful and opened their arms to Dad and his beloved pet Fluffy They went above and beyond to accommodate his needs and ours. Recently, Dad had to move into memory care. I want to thank Jim, Deb, Pam, Ryan, and the entire staff for making this transition a smooth and successful one and for always keeping the residents and familys best interests in mind. Good Job!

Vintage Hills is now home for my parents, they are 93 and 92. The Staff is excellent and very caring and friendly. The rooms are well designed and inviting. The atmosphere is upbeat and the residents all look cared for. My parents love the chef and the good meals every day that they serve. They also like all the different activities that happen each day. Thanks to everyone at Vintage Hills.
