My father has been in several facilities. This one has been a perfect one for him. Avanti at Vision Park has Memory Care and Assisted Living. The staff works hard to know their residents’ personalities and preferences. The campus is small, one story, which is helpful to everyone. We have traveled out of the country two times since dad’s arrival. The collaboration of the staff has been stellar. Valerie, Sade and Daphne are so reassuring. They answer texts and emails promptly and are always accountable for their attention to my father. Interestingly, there are some unsung heroes at Avanti VP: Roger, Sandy, Apple and Johnny. They professionally keep the facility current and the residents and families enthused when they are needed. The Medical Technicians text me to let me know when medications need refilling, so helpful! The Concierge service is delightful. Lori in the Business Office is wonderful to work with, she will make time to help clear up any confusion related to finances. Also there are several doctors that visit the residents on site and can become your loved one’s PCP if so desired. Additionally, the location is convenient for medical care. They deserve a look if you are shopping for Assisted Living or Memory Care for your loved one.

I want to thank Valerie Colon and her entire loving team at Avanti Senior Living @ Vision Park. This has been my parents' home for almost 2 years. They started in assisted living and have recently moved to memory care. Every time I visit, I am amazed at how kindly and professionally the staff work with the seniors living there. Valerie has been more than instrumental in helping our family through the transitions. My parents are happy and feel comfortable with such loving care from Valerie, Lori, Sade, Daphne, Roger, and Nancy, just to name a few, but there are many more. The Memory Care staff is exceptional. At times, my parents have forgotten to charge their cell phone. The MC caregivers have often called me on their own cell phone, just so I can hear my parents' voices. The front desk staff are so kind. They seem to know instinctively that they are the first thing you experience--they are your first impression of Avanti. They answer the phone with "How can I make your day better?" Valerie's team wants to treat our folks the way they would want their mom or dad to be treated. That, in and of itself, is so comforting. I would recommend Avanti if you need a HOME for your loved ones. They are professionals with hearts of gold.

This is a sad time for me as my brother just passed from cancer while living at Avante. But I have nothing but affection and praise for the care he was given. The facility is nice. In fact it is VERY nice. Beautifully laid out and decorated. But what really stood out for my brother were the people who cared for him. Somehow the facility fosters a culture of competence, warmth and caring that is truly unusual. I was a CEO of a health care company serving seniors for 25 years and had a chance to see it all in hospitals, nursing homes, home health and therapy. I am truly impressed with the front line people who provide health care generally. But the people and care at Avante were well above average and made all the difference for my brother. How do you tell the difference? Small things and large things. Listen to how they answer the phone or greet you when you come in the door. Notice how they acknowledge you when you pass them in the hallway. Watch how they interact with your love ones. Notice the pride when they are doing their jobs. Listen to how they answer your questions and explain how they are caring for your loved one. Notice how closely they follow their care schedule. Listen to their suggestions for extra things to do. Look into their eyes for their sincerity. No doubt, much of this culture is due to the leadership of the facility in hiring, fostering and rewarding good behaviors. I have a deep personal appreciation for what they have done for my brother. I want to sincerely thank all who were involved.

I highly recommend Avanti Senior Living. My parents have been there for over a year. The facility is run very well. The care givers and staff are dedicated to making sure my parents are safe, comfortable, well fed, and happy. The medical support staff are on top of any medical issues. This is the first time I have ever written a review of any sort on the Internet. However, my experience with the people at Avanti Vision Park was so extraordinary that I felt compelled to share me experience. My mother-in-law was 90 years old and would have turned 91 on August 23. She had been living on her own in the country for the last 26 years. Her health started rapidly declining so we felt like it was a matter of time where she could not live alone. We started looking for assisted living facilities in the Woodlands area. It seemed that several of the websites we checked and people in that world of caring for the elderly kept telling us we should check out Avanti Assisted Living in the Woodlands. I contacted them and spoke with Wendy and she recommended we come for an in person meeting and tour. My daughter and I met with Wendy and she did a great job of giving us a tour and explaining in detail what they offered for my mother -in law. You could tell Wendy really cared about the residents and her relationship with them. During that tour we also met Valerie who was in charge of the overall operation at that location. Valerie told us she had been a Registered Nurse and had been involved in caring for the elderly for a while. She was a very compassionate person and gave the impression of total competence in overseeing this location. Valerie and Wendy made a very good complimentary team. To keep things somewhat shorter I will not go into all the details but we got a room for my Mother-in-law even though she was in the hospital at that time. Over the next 3 weeks my Mother-in-law was in and out of different hospitals . Through all this I kept in touch with Valerie and Wendy and explained the situation. They both were very patient and helpful during this very stressful time. Unfortunately even though we had a room for over 3 weeks at Avanti my Mother-in-laws health declined so rapidly that she had to go into Hospice care and was never able to move into Avanti. She passed away on August 12. I will be eternally grateful to Valerie and her steady hand and patience in helping us navigate this very stressful time. Wendy was also also a great source of help and encouragement during this time. Without hesitation I would recommend this facility 100% if you have an elderly loved one and are looking for an Assisted Living Facility. Give Wendy a call and schedule a meeting and tour. You will be very glad you did.

My Parents have been at Avanti for over a year. During our search, we realized that the food and environment are two of the most important aspects when choosing an assisted living facility for my parents. They have been pleased to experience outstanding care partners, food and surroundings. An emphasis on wellness is apparent in the facility and the activities have been enjoyable - even going the extra mile with things like a Casino night and Art show. My parents have enjoyed the happy hour with wine almost daily! Another reason we chose Avanti is the memory care unit, Salize. My mother recently needed to transition there full time and is doing well. Staff in Salize seen to truly enjoy their challenging jobs and care for the residents with smiles on their face. Highly recommend!

My mom has Alzheimer's and with another fall, a stay at the hospital, then rehab, Dad and I were at a loss of what was next and how to deal with something we knew was inevitable and so difficult for us as a very close family. I visited 7 places in 2 days and my last visit, after I was losing hope and feeling desperate and heartbroken, I walked into Avanti. It was the weekend before Thanksgiving and we had to make a quick decision, but a very BIG decision for my mom. Abby greeted us and took us on a thorough tour. I was listening, but also was worried since it was so beautiful, that it would be very expensive. She greeted all of the residents with a hug and by name and in some cases said she loved them. I was in a "good" state of shock and started feeling some hope that we may have found the right place. I went back to dad at the rehab center and said "I found it". Just then, we had a phone call through the rehab center and it was Abby inviting us back to their Thanksgiving celebration meal on that very same day. We went and met everyone on their caring and brilliant staff, even the chef, who had cooked up a delicious meal for their residents and family members to enjoy Thanksgiving together. Its' officially been 2 weeks since mom arrived there her first night, and my dad and I are extremely happy and pleased with the attention, the staff, the activities, the communication, the care and the environment my mom (and his wife of 60 years) is living. It's an adjustment and a new normal for us but we can sleep at night knowing mom is in a safe place surrounded with good people who truly care. I want to thank each of the staff at Avanti for helping us, so quickly, find the best place for Nelda, whom we love so dearly.

I visited the community over the weekend for the Halloween event, we are new to the area and I was looking for a safe place to take my children for a fun activity. Little did I know I was visiting an assisted living community! I was blown away with how beautiful the place was and how their residents were so HAPPY! This is NOT a typical "old folks home". I wanted to get a room!! I will attend all of their events and I would recommend this place to anyone looking. I do not have a family member looking now, but when I do, THIS is where I will go!
