Reviews North Pointe of Asheboro
June 2025
This is more of a controlled living nursing home than "assisted living". Inconsiderate staff that are often rude and nasty to residents. They say they are professional, but don't know how to deal with the elderly. They can't get their act together there. Staff is always changing, and nobody wants to work anymore. So sad. I hope that I die before having to move into a facility such as this one. Food is often not cooked well and given little care. Staff keeps making errors with medication. Biggest complaint...this is their home and it's more like a prison.

We had a very nice 2 hour visit there. The staff was wonderful. The facility was very clean and had nice decorations & furniture. A couple of the residents that we know personally said they loved being there and they took wonderful care of them.

Completely changed my view of nursing homes. All you ever hear are bad things, but this place is exceptional! They do so much, and are professional and kind. Highly recommend.

Let me start with I wish I could give ZERO stars. First. They take complete advantage of their workers, especially the hardworking workers. Adding on extra responsibilities that weren’t part of what they signed for and not paying properly. They took complete advantage of my mother in law and she was a loyal hardworking woman. They have low standards of how they care for their residents. Also, during the pandemic the government was going to be sending COVID paychecks to healthcare workers and took that as a greedy opportunity to start firing people so they could keep the money. This place needs to be shut down and condemned. Management is trash. I seriously cannot understand why or how they remain open. Let’s go back to something that happened earlier this year… a resident back in January somehow walked theirselves outside without ANYONE seeing in the freezing cold with their walker and passed away outside, how do you manage to not keep close eye on your residents and then try to cover it up?! I can go on about how terrible this place is but I am so fed up how they treat not only their workers but their residents. SHUT THEM DOWN.
