Atria Kew Gardens is an excellent, comfortable, and clean assisted living facility, with a friendly staff that provides attentive and personalized care to its residents. Our mom has been living there for 2 months now, and has adapted to the huge change in her life much more quickly than we were fearing, thanks to the efforts of the whole staff, and especially sales director Andrea Patel. While she manages many different Atria locations, she has been on-site at Kew Gardens seeing to our every concern, making our mom's transition much smoother than we expected. The entire staff, from the housekeepers, the caregivers, the receptionists, and the dining and activities teams, all get to know each and every one of the residents personally, from their daily schedules and habits, to their likes and dislikes. It's this level of attention that gives us confidence that our mom is in good hands. The building itself is clean and comfortable, from the main floor and common areas, to the hallways and the residences. We personally appreciate the relatively small size and straightforward layout of the facility, since we could imagine our mom getting lost in a bigger place. The community of residents is as warm and friendly as we could hope for.

The culinary staff is willing to add items and dishes to the menu upon request ( within reason because it is a kosher facility). Most importantly, the entire building is clean. It was the best decision I could have made to come to Atria Kew Gardens.

Seem to build everything around the possibility of being sued. Their memory care dept left much to be desired even though our loved one is a handful. Locked up everything including soap. Come in and out of the room countless times so there is never a sense of peace.

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience so far at Atria Kew Gardens! My brother and I moved our mom in 3 days ago. Our original plan was for both our parents to move in together, but tragically, our dad lost his courageous battle with cancer a week and a half ago. Needless to say, it has been absolutely devastating for our entire family, but especially for our mom, who lost her husband and best friend of over 60 years. She has been suffering from progressive dementia for the past few years, and this trauma has been unbelievably heartbreaking for her. The staff at Atria Kew Gardens has made this incredibly difficult transition so much easier. They have shown remarkable compassion, patience, and understanding to our entire family, and my mom is already showing truly positive signs of adjusting to her new environment. I want to single out Andrea Patel, who has been an absolute godsend! Though she is responsible for overseeing over 50 Atria facilities throughout the country, she seems to know every single resident and staff member at the Kew Gardens location. She has been extremely accessible and communicative, supportive and friendly, and she has been an absolute ray of sunshine in this dark time for our family. She exudes a real depth of knowledge about senior care, especially when it comes to caring for residents with mental health issues. The entire staff has been equally welcoming, caring, and friendly, and our initial fears about leaving our mom in their care are steadily being calmed, even though it has only been a few days. I highly recommend Atria Kew Gardens (if you can't tell!).

In terms of the administrative staffs from the front office to the floor supervisors, the range of activities available for residents, cleanliness and value for the money, Atria Kew Gardens ranks very high. Equally impressive are the compassionate care-givers, many of whom have been there 10-15 years and have a resident's best interest and safety at heart.The facility is only a 10-minute walk from the LIRR station, or a 3- to 5-minute bus ride. It is located in a lovely, quiet, well-kept residential neighborhood and is within walking distance of a couple of multi-cultural restaurants/cafes, a diner, a pastry shop, and a book store. I have a family member in the Memory Care section.

I'm so sorry I have taken so long in writing this review! Mom and I decided to start looking at Senior Living facilities in February. I was going on vacation and didn't feel comfortable leaving mom home alone. We visited many facilities but Atria as a brand stood out. We chose Atria Kew Gardens. Jocelyn Wong has been more than patient and accommodating. The facility is always clean, the apartments are great size, the residents and staff are always welcoming. The food!!! I've had lunch 2 times and dinner once. I think mom's only complaint is that her plate is too small. Mom has brought her best friend Cookie (Her Shih Tzu) to live with her and they seem very happy there. So... what started as a respite stay while I was going on vacation has turned into a home.

I recently went to visit Atria Kew Gardens to explore assisted living options for my mom. I was nervous going in...but was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere, cleanliness, and warmth of the community. A special shoutout goes to Gintare, the representative who guided me through the visit. She was not only knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly kind, patient, attentive and easy to talk to. She took the time to explain all the services, amenities, and levels of care available, and she answered every question with clarity. The facility looked clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and engaged. I was impressed by the activities calendar and the menu/food options and dining area which was inviting and lively. Thanks to Gintare’s thoughtful approach and the overall positive environment, I left feeling informed and genuinely cared for.

Having a family member in decline can be a very difficult thing to deal with so I take comfort that I have mom in Atria. As I stated, the staff are very nice and caring. My experience with Jocelyn Wong and Atria Kew Gardens has been exceptional. My mom was struggling in a poorly run rehab in Brooklyn. Jocelyn stepped in and helped us get mom into a much better rehab. She kept tabs on her and we recently transitioned mom into Kew Gardens Atria. We don't know what we would have done without Jocelyn. Mom is happier and more hopeful than she has been in months. We are grateful to Jocelyn for all that she did for our family. Atria Kew Gardens is a lovely facility but the fact that Jocelyn works there gives us peace of mind and faith that our mother Is in good hands. I definitely recommend this facility and Jocelyn Wong. Memory care may only be appropriate if your loved one is calm and placid. If they have any degree of medium to high needs- this is not the place to go. Direct care staff as well as high level staff are inept and only interested in keeping beds filled with compliant, quiet residents. They have no idea what to do or how to treat residents with dignity and compassion when they may have some change & decline in behaviors- as most with dementia typically do. Their solution is to hire private aides 24/7 while living there. Poorly trained and educated staff in dementia care all around- not to mention neglectful. My mother had a fall in the middle of the night and laid on the floor bleeding from her head for 2.5hrs before someone came in to check on her! We had a camera in the room thank goodness. Incontinance and safety checks are supposed to occur every 30minutes or so..as per the individual care plan. Unconscionable. As a professional Geriatric care manager and someone whose own mother was here for a short time- I would never recommend this place to any one for memory care. My only positive experience was with a private aide we hired to help my mom & the activities person Sophie who had sense enough to leave herself. Note: the Life Guidance - Memory care Director has no solid background in EVER working with and providing direct care to Alzheimer’s/dementia patients!! How do they hire someone like this to RUN the Memory Care residential program and oversee staff????!!! That alone speaks volumes.

Over the last few years, looking towards the future, my husband & I have looked at a variety of assisted living facilities. One stands out among all of them. Atria Kew Gardens is in a class by itself. From the moment we met Jocelyn Wong, the Community Sales Director, we were hooked. Jocelyn understood our individual needs and where we were coming from, she is exceptional. Her congeniality and professionalism were greatly appreciated. But it was not only because of Jocelyn that we were sold at Atria Kew Gardens. Everyone we met from other staff, to a variety of residents, was warm and welcoming. The apartments are spacious enough for two, and are full of amenities like walk-in closets and individual thermostat controls. Also, the food was delicious, we were served lunch. The place was immaculate. In short, we were very impressed by our tour of Atria Kew Gardens. Since we have seen lots of assisted living facilities, we can say that this one is the best without a doubt. It is definitely five star.

My entire family is delighted with everything we have found at Atria in Kew Gardens. My husband was doing poorly at home. My health suffered from trying to give care to a patient with dementia. We found Atria and moved him in. He has adjusted because of all of the wonderful caregivers in the Memory Unit. Everyone on staff is amazing. He receives all of his medications . There are activities every day. The rooms are immaculate. He gets personal encouragement and care all day. My grandchildren call it a hotel. The food is delicious with a varied menu. He loves his meals”better than yours he says. I feel that my husband is safe,and well nourished. How wonderful for all of his loved ones to visit and see him in lovely surroundings.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. My husband and I have been trying to figure how to best help my father in law (husband's dad) the last year. He has had some health issues and just needs day to day help with things. We live in the Hudson Valley, two hours away from him, and both work full time making it all the more difficult. After a day of researching, I found Atria Kew Gardens and with it's stellar reviews, we knew we had to take a tour and explore it. My husband and his father met with Eric Myers and he all but rolled out the red carpet for my father in law. A notoriously difficult man (lol), my father in law really took to Eric which absolutely aided in easing his (understandable) worry about leaving his home to move into assisted living. He has been there for almost 2 months now and he absolutely loves it. Both the facility and staff have exceeded expectations. We were worried our dad would miss home but he has made friends (Eric has also become his buddy), has fun in the activities and LOVES the food. My husband can attest that the food is top notch after having lunch with his dad :). I want to cry thinking about how difficult the last year has been for our family and seeing how fulfilled and happy our dad is now. Thank you Eric, Gale and the Atria staff for making our dad young again!

We had a tough journey trying to figure out where to move our beloved aunt. The time had come for her to move from her apartment to an assisted living facility. We went through the process of seeing many facilities and understanding what is provided but we also had the fear of how or whether she would adjust to new surroundings. After seeing several locations, the process led to some frustrations. We were lucky in meeting Eric Myers from the Atria at Kew Gardens. It never felt like a sales meeting when we met Eric. He was able to provide us with lots of valuable information regarding assisted living facilities but also put us at ease with the many concerns that we had and with our aunt’s particular circumstances and needs. With Eric's guidance we decided to move her to the Atria in Kew Gardens. It was a great decision. She has acclimated well and the staff has ensured that she is well taken care of and enjoys her stay. The staff is amazing and we can't thank them enough for all that they have done to improve her quality of life. Eric is knowledgeable, warm, and professional and continues to be responsive to any issues or needs that arise. Our aunt is thriving and we are forever grateful.

I don't even know where to start, My experience was a nightmare transitioning my Uncle from Meadowbrook nursing facility to Atria Kew Gardens. Then I met Jennifer Myvett, the Community Sales Director! She was my angel in this process, she walked me through the process, broke down the listing of care aides he would need, financial paperwork and showed me as many apartments I wanted with no complaints, partnered with me to make his transition smooth and comfortable. When we hit a couple road blocks, Jennifer was right there as a should to cry on literally and advocated on my behalf when things with the nursing home was less than professional. Even as I am writing this, Mrs. Myvett, calls me periodically to make sure everything is going well and that I am satisfied with my uncle's stay! Kew Gardens is beautiful and the apartments are lovely and well maintained. The staff is kind and very respectful. Mrs. Kolihifar is top notch as the Director and doesn't play about her position and regulations lol. I can relax knowing my uncle is in a place of distinguished living and caring staff. Once again I can't thank the staff at Kew Gardens enough and ESPECIALLY JENNIFER MYVETT for her kindness, patience, constant assistance and overall caring personality. I toured a lot of facilities before I came across the Atria Kew Gardens, and my impression of the other places to be honest was not that positive, since I sensed a lack of true warmth and caring from the staff. The reason I chose the Atria Kew Gardens for my loved one was because of the AMAZING Community Sales Director, Jennifer Myvett. From my very first contact with Jennifer--when she gave me a virtual tour of the facilities--I saw right away that Jennifer is such a kind, wonderful, and hard working person, who was available to me around the clock and who answered all my constant questions about the Atria via texts and emails, as well as calling me, not only during the day but in the evenings and on weekends as well. For instance, she came to visit me at my home on a Saturday afternoon--which is her day off--to bring me the contract in person for me to sign. I had many questions and concerns about the Atria Kew Gardens and Jennifer addressed them all in such a kind, timely, and loving way. Since Jennifer was my first point of contact with the Atria--and I could tell she was being completely honest with me regarding all of my questions--I got a very good feeling about the Atria overall. And all of the positive things that Jennifer told me about the Atria have proven to be correct: the staff is incredible--so kind and attentive to my Dad. My Dad is in Memory Care in a shared room and his room is lovely. Staff came up to me directly during a recent visit--without my asking them anything--to spontaneously give me updates about how my Dad is doing overall when I am not there to visit. My Dad seems very content and well-adjusted, and he told me he is very happy there and loves participating in all of the activities, which is all that I can ask for. Jennifer is such an incredible person, and is a tremendous asset to Atria Kew Gardens, which is very lucky to have her on board. I give my highest recommendation to Atria Kew Gardens in general, and Jennifer Myvett in particular. If you are looking for a facility for your loved one, you can't go wrong with Atria Kew Gardens. Ask for Jennifer and you will soon experience how wonderful she is for yourself. Thank you for everything, Jennifer! You made what could have been an extremely difficult and stressful process easy, smooth, and flawless. My Dad and I can never thank you enough for all that you have done for us. Frankie, Fazia, Danny, Hermalynn, Sharon, Angie and all of the staff on the 3rd floor at Atria have been so warm and kind to my mother these past two years. 2020 was been especially difficult because of covid, but everyone there worked so hard to take good care of the residents and to keep us on the outside connected to our loved ones. I'm so grateful to them.

I recently helped a friend move to Atria Kew Gardens Assisted Living. Because we are quarantined by Covid 19 I could not visit Atria. Everything was done remotely. What could have been very hard turned out to be easy and wonderful. Eric Myers was our guide through the entire process. He left no issue unattended. My friend feels very welcome and I am very happy for her. I only gave 4 stars because I couldn't actually be there. Otherwise, It would have been 5 stars
