Brookdale has been amazing. My mother moved there from out of state after the death of her partner. They made an already fraught and difficult time so much easier. They are responsive, warm and caring. My mother has a complicated medical history and has to go to the doctor quite frequently, Brookdale can help facilitate all the transportation. They have been a God send.

Brookdale Oak Park has very friendly staff, residents and environment. When we moved in we were greeted with lunch basket and flower and a lot of personal assistance from the staff. One repair was needed on move in day and it was completed within hours.

We had many visitors coming into town to celebrate a bat mitzvah and we wanted some of them to stay with us. We had planned to have two visitors stay with us and sleep on air mattresses. We mentioned this to Scott and he suggested a better option. He provided two cots and all the linen! He set it up for us and took it down when the visitors left. He is our hero.

Brookdale Oak Park has been providing excellent care for my loved one. Coordination and continuity in care have been excellent throughout. Staff are responsive and attentive to the needs of both the residents and the family members involved which has been greatly appreciated. This has included help with accessing additional needed community based services. My aunt’s accommodations allow her to have the varying levels of assistance she needs while having a sense of home, friends around her and access to her favorite neighborhood shops and activities. It is a pleasure to provide this review and to recommend Brookdale.

My mother has been a Brookdale Oak Park resident since 2009. The facilities are well-maintained and are very safe. But more importantly, the staff is excellent - they know the residents and care about them. Their work to keep the pandemic at bay has been heroic and successful. I've also been impressed - and grateful - for their frequent and clear communication to residents and families.

This place has been a godsend, for my mother, and our family. She has been a resident of Brookdale Oak Park for almost a year now. Her apartment is lovely with a very nice view, The meals are quite good. Residents are friendly and vibrant. Most importantly, Mom loves the daily social interactions. The Brookdale Oak Park staff is kind and attentive, and Mom has joined the choir, become part of a book group, and she regularly goes to the second floor to see movies, or gather around a puzzle in the library. We appreciate her being close by, in a safe building, and being able to work with the staff to meet her needs as she ages. It was the right choice for her at the right time. We all love it!

My brother found the Brookdale in Oak Park near his home, for our dad to move to when he needed the care of an assisted-living facility. He was a resident there for 5 years and was in the absolute best of care and conditions. Can't say enough good things about the facility and staff, I'm not sure you could find better. So many great essential things come to mind, the room, conditions, the staff, the food, the amenities, the neighborhood, etc. All the residents are treated so well. Our dad was very content there and it was reassuring to know he was in such a wonderful place. Highest praise and thanks to the Brookdale in Oak Park, and highly recommended! One additional note, that I've visited friends in two other Brookdales and they were likewise outstanding, so it seems Brookdale sets a standard for excellence in assisted leaving.

Brookdale Oak Park is an excellent independent and assisted living facility. They offer lovely apartments and a warm, friendly, safe environment with social activities. My mom has enjoyed living there for the past 10 years.

Brookdale has been wonderful for my mother-in-law. I cant say enough great things - the staff is so caring, they work to keep the residents engaged. You can be as involved as you want to be, my mother-in-law is in two book clubs, on the board, and does numerous activities. During these COVID times, they have been so careful, always keeping families informed, and have clear rules guided by science to keep everyone safe. AND, they are now vaccinating all residents and staff. We are so happy that she is there.

The staff provide a warm, friendly and caring environment for my mother. Brookdale has allowed her to have many friendships and enjoy a variety of activities to keep her engaged and active. The location makes walking to parks, restaurants and other near by stores easy. The dining room is lovely and the staff are always accommodating. Highly recommend.

My dad has lived at Brookdale Oak Park for five years and he loves it. The staff is tremendous -- they take amazing care of the residents, and have navigated the pandemic with compassion. The location is just about perfect, within walking distance to grocery shopping, a killer book store, restaurants, everything he needs. Living at Brookdale has been phenomenal for my dad.

My mom moved to Brookdale from out of state at the start of the pandemic. The staff was and has been amazing! Their kindness helped us move and establish life and care under extraordinary challenges. They have kept mom safe all through the pandemic, provided for all her needs in ever more thoughtful and supportive ways. The apartment is beautiful, with lovely views: It is well-maintained, and easy for walker and wheelchair. She loves the food, and is looking forward to taking part in community activities after everyone is fully vaccinated.

After my dad passed away in late 2015, I had to make the decision to move my mom to a senior community. I visited different nearby communities, but once I visited Brookdale Oak Park, I knew I had found my moms new home. Always caring and helpful, each of Brookdales employees has made my mom feel secure, comfortable, and supported. The staff is quick to communicate with both her and me regarding any concerns we may have. Their concern for the residents is apparent through their consistent attention and positivity. The result was that my mom had absolutely no problem transitioning from her Oak Park home to Brookdale and I experienced complete peace of mind knowing we had made the right choice. I highly recommend Brookdale Oak Park to anyone looking for a senior community that offers the best to its residents.

Our mother lives in a lovely apartment in the Assisted Living part of Brookdale Oak Park. She is 95, and the extra attention she receives is helping her to be healthy and to stay socialized. All staff are kind and knowledgeable. Our questions are always answered, and our requests are responded to quickly and efficiently. During the last nine months of Covid, Brookdale has kept our mother safe. The entire staff works hard to make sure that all current safety recommendations are followed. We recommend Brookdale wholeheartedly.

Its a very clean, beautiful and inclusive facility with a great staff. I moved my parents into Brookdale Oak Parks assisted living in 2016 (after looking at many facilities). As my Dads health declined, Brookdale was the perfect place for them as the staff is attentive and caring. My Mom continues to live in assisted living and we are very happy. There are so many activities and events and a physical therapy group right in the building (which weve used often). The location is top notch with a park and downtown Oak Park right outside the door! I highly recommend Brookdale Oak Park.

When my mother made the move out of her long-time home to Brookdale Oak Park, it was the best decision she could have made. She made friends easily and participated in activities and it was a relief to her family knowing she was in a safe place. She moved from Independent Living to Assisted Living during the 6 years she was there. I cant say enough good things about the staff, from the administration to the hands-on nurses, aides and serving staff. Very special people.

Brookdale is an extremely well managed and lovely environment. The location and views of Oak Park and the city skyline are enviable and bring a lot of natural sun light. The top floor dining room, lounge, and outdoor space is something Id love to have access to! Ive always felt great about the independent living apartment my family member has and the many professionals at Brookdale. But its never been more comfort as it is during Covid. I believe my loved one is safer than I am with the measures proactively taken every step of the way. In addition to the many staff members who are ensuring the well being of all residents, Id like to recognize Kathleen Mullaghy whos the Executive Director. Kathleen has been proactive with communications to residents and family. Her transparency and genuineness is remarkable and greatly appreciated. Im grateful for Brookdale!

Brookdale Oak Park has been wonderful. My wife's father spent a couple of years there before his eventual passing and we were impressed with their services. My mother moved to Brookdale a couple of years ago and she is doing great.

Downsizing from a home with many memories and a garden that is beautiful and peaceful was a daunting task. The process is one that many seniors face when they reach a certain age. The question we asked ourselves was, Do I want our children or other family members to make decisions regarding the next stage of our lives? The answer was a resounding NO. When we found Brookdale OP we knew our next step was solved.We were warmly welcomed by staff and residents into our sunny new residence. We have made nice friends over our five years in Oak Park. There are many perks one being no need to cook and the other being located in Downtown Oak Park. It doesnt get much better. Ask us, Do you like living at Brookdale? Our quick response is, If you have to move somewhere, this is a wonderful place to be.
