She is in the rehab section and we have been very pleased with how she is being treated and taken care of. All of the staff are extremely courteous and attentive, and take the time to explain and help us constantly as we have no experience with any of this. Thank you Erin and the rest of the staff for going out of your way to get an air mattress installed to make her more comfortable this afternoon. My family and I would like to express our sincere thanks to all those at Wellmore, Tega Cay who cared for my mother during her rehab stay in January 2026. The kindness and attention shown to our entire family during her rehab and recovery made the situation a lot more bearable. I was very hesitant when the hospital told us my mother would need to go to a rehab facility. My fears were immediately eased when I saw first hand the Wellmore facility and met the great people involved in my mother’s care. When she arrived my mother could not walk. A month later she is at home and walking with little or no assistance as her physical therapy continues. There are many that I met and others I did not meet, but some of the names of those we are all grateful to are Lori, Magda,, Britt, Kennadi, Sherrie, Kaylie, Erin, Brent, Jessica, Nancy, Lyric, Hannah, Raje, Raven, Shari, Syed, Diana, Christine, Catherine, and Cleo. I cannot express my families gratitude for the care my mother received from Wellmore. We were very uncertain how this was going to go when we found out she would need to go into a rehabilitation facility. From the first day we arrived, we were immediately put at ease. From the social workers to the nurses, CNA’s, physical therapists and occupational therapists were all amazing. We never met those that prepared the meals, but thank you as well. My mother said the food was really good! I cannot name them all, but thank you Lori, Magda, Celia, Britt, Kennedi, Sherri, Kaylie , Erin, Brent, Jessica, Nancy, Rage, Lyrica, and Hannah. Kristie and Lorrie are fabulous, they go above and beyond in their job. They were always so responsive and helpful with all of my questions. The clinical team was always on the ball with all of the care needs, they were so kind to continue to encourage him through therapy goals. This was our first time experiencing rehab, in a situation that has been overwhelming for a patient and family support, the experience we had at Wellmore eased our nervousness and truly helped us through all areas of the process. When you are an older adult and you become ill it is vulnerable feeling to know you have to depend on strangers and trust them with your care and rehab. This was my situation after a fall that lead to brain bleeds, many bruises and temporary cognitive decline. It was a scary time for me and my family. The moment we came into Wellmore of Tega Cay Rehab we knew we were in a place that I could be safe, receive therapy and have support as my body recovered. The staff from the admissions, through the care planning, to the amazing meals and the daily floor staff that made everyday a better day for me I was able to recover more quickly than anticipated. The team at Wellmore not only healed my body, they also made sure my heart and mind were cared for! Lauren (sales director) was so helpful showing me the facilities and ultimately getting Mom moved in. Highly recommend Wellmore! Our mom spent 14 months at Wellmore, in skilled nursing and received exceptional and compassionate care. The room was big spacious and kept very clean. She selected her meals from a weekly menu full of a variety of choices and the food was served hot and fresh. They did her laundry several times per week. The nursing staff were diligent with her medications and attentive to her needs. I can not say enough about the CNA's that not only took great care of our mom but also became our extended family! My mother-in-law was there for 3 months and received excellent care from the nurses, CNAs, OTs, PTs and all other people who worked with her and with us. We’d especially like to thank Magda, her nurse, who went above and beyond to take care of all of us. The social worker, Kaitlyn, helped us with many decisions by guiding us through the difficult process. Gabby, the hospice nurse, who helped all of us move through those sad last days. However, there were so many others, the greeters at the front desk, the custodians, the people who brought her food trays, and others were all so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our family can’t thank them enough for everything they did. I would highly recommend this amazing place.

As an outside companion looking in The Skilled section at Wellmore I have spent 2 years and during this time I have observed the daily functions and care of my person. Not every day goes as planned but each day is a blessing!! From the CNAs to the nurses to the floor management they are kind, caring, gentle, and helpful. They take care of the daily needs and go about their daily routines but they take moments to say Hi, how are you today and make their people feel normal. They take a moment to give a smile or get a laugh and make their people feel joy. In my opinion that’s going above and beyond!! Blessings!!! In skilled they also have an excellent activities department with wonderful caring people organizing and creating fun activities for all. Depending upon the day there is bingo (favorite), 35 words, noodle ball, coloring, crafts, music, special entertainment, exercises, and so much more. Special attention to monthly decorations and making the room cheerful and inviting. Making the people feel special with holiday themed pictures bringing smiles and joy. Blessings!!! We have also gone to special activities down in the assisted living area to hear music or playing with baby goats, or snuggling with bunnies! Blessings!! I also have to include the hair salon and stylist for the special attention she gives and the beautiful hair style on our spa day. Blessings!!! My motto is Moment by moment. We have had many good moments and some bad moments but during the bad I know there is a whole team of people in skilled to help make it better. Blessings!!!

In the midst of caring for my sister and other family crises, I realized I had not posted this review. Nevertheless, it would be very remiss of me not to pass on this information. Examples of concerns, particularly related to the quality of care at this upscale facility, are as follows (effective 5/5/24). 1) I noted that the technique or approach used to transition my sister from wheelchair to the bed or vice versa varied; and the degree of discomfort was often evident in her facial expression. I did expressed my concern to the patient care coordinator (believe her title??); seemingly, she made light of my concern and simply stated that PT and OT will help with this. Unfortunately I did not have any evidence that this was ever done. 2) A brief 15-minute Care Team meeting, involving my sister, myself, the social worker and patient care coordinator, was held on 5/10. Per my question about the Care Plan Team meeting, we were told that it was forthcoming once evaluations/assessments were completed. If this meeting took place, we were not privy to it or a copy of her Care Plan. 3) I informed the Asst Director of Nursing (5/13)I would like to speak with the doctor and NP about my sister’s care and be able to put a name with a face. She told me the NP usually make rounds Mon-Fri between 8:30-10:30; but she’s not sure where she starts as she has approximately 60 residents. While at the nurse station (5/15), I approached this person and rather than NP, she was the doctor. We talked briefly and she told me to have the nurse complete the form indicating that I wanted to see the NP. A little later, this person came in my sister’s room and said: I heard you wanted to see me? She was the NP and everything I asked her about, she stated it was not her responsibility. Finally, per my request, she informed me of her job responsibilities. During my sister’s stay, this was the extent of my involvement with the doctor and NP. 4) On a number of occasions, I noted that when my sister used the call button, staff usually didn’t respond in timely manner if delivering meal trays or medications to residents. Or my sister noted at other times, staff would come to the room and tell her they will be back but didn’t return in a timely manner. I know I am not the only one as they are caring for other people too. Oh well, I’ll just have to wait. After all, I can’t walk. 5) I noted an the error in my sister’s bill (5/28/24) and was later informed that it was due to the insurance effective date being changed from 5/13 to 5/15. Per my inquiries, this matter was resolved by the facility once the effective was changed back to 5/13, thereby resulting in no charge to my sister for 5/13-14. 6) My sister continued to complain about being so cold. In fact, sometimes, when you open the door, the heat would hit you in the face. On one occasion, upon arrival, I was wondering why it was so cold in room. She told me the nurse turned off the heat. Not only did she turn it off, she turned on the air conditioning. I did address this matter with the said nurse and told her what the patient care coordinator had told my sister and me. That is, this is my sister own personal space, her home and while here, staff will need to accommodate her. 7) Because I did not want her to be cold or look unkept, I labeled the clothes she was to wear for her 1:00 doctor’s appointment (6/26). My sister was extremely upset because she said they didn’t have time to dress her appropriately. I did address this and the nurse told me she did not have anyone to help get her dressed. Perhaps it was around meal time. 8)There was a mix up on the discharge date regarding transportation as I was told the social worker should have called the day of to confirm the appointment (6/27; 11:00 am). Rather than continuing to wait for the transport driver (2-3 hours), I used my car to transport her home. Respectfully Submitted, Nancy D. Then I was interviewed by Kaitlyn who is sokindand very inviting,warm and calmed my anxious feelings , explained all info clearly and did not rush what a wonderful caring young lady. Willing to walk the extra mile for anyone. Then there is Virginia, Allyssa, Shakeitha, Tarrona,Nessa, Tyra, Elizabeth and so so many more that take care of my husband and are so very kind to me. I have a peace of mind that I have not experienced before now when I return home and leave him in their care. My husband was transported from Atrium Hospital in Pineville to Wellmore Rehabilitation Center on December 16, 2024 and was at Wellmore Rehabilitation until January 16, 2025. We were somewhat apprehensive about Wellmore, because we weren’t sure about the level of care he would receive there. However, from day one, we felt so welcomed, as we were greeted and treated with so much warmth, kindness, compassion and love. If I could give it a 10-Star I would! The entire Staff (Admissions Coordinator, Front Desk Team, Doctors, Nurses, CNAs, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Social Worker, Case Managers, Dietitians, etc.) was amazing! They don’t just care for the patients, they care for the family members, as well! They are professionals, but the are also friendly, kind, compassionate, loving, caring, patient and understanding. Also, the Wellmore Facility is very clean and beautiful! We were there New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, and, although, we weren’t with family, our hearts were filled with joy, as there were festive activities going on throughout the day and that helped fill the sadness of not being with our families on these special occasions. When it came time for my husband to be discharged from Wellmore, we were saddened by the fact that we had to leave, for we sincerely felt so at home there. If my husband should ever need to go to a Rehabilitation Center, again, Wellmore will, for certain, be our first choice, for the level of care he received there was exceptional! A special shoutout for these extraordinary, amazing women: Lorrie (Admissions Coordinator), Kaitlyn (Social Worker), Magda (Nurse), Brittany (CNA) and Delaney (CNA). However, everyone at Wellmore is outstanding!

My grandfather, Gary Skaggs has stayed at Wellmore multiple times and each time he has come away with more strength and confidence than he had coming in. He especially loves his physical therapy time with Emily, who made walking that seemed impossible possible. Caitlyn in admissions is a wonderful resource for the family and makes the process easy and less stressful. This will forever be the rehabilitation facility of choice for our family.

Our sweet mom fell in her Memory care room at rhe Bungalows. She came to Wellmore for rehab. She has been here since September 4th. Our family could not have asked for better care! The staff was very easy to love! They have loved on our mom like their own! She has had therapy also. Always giving us updates and eager to ask questions that would help her! We have worked with Wellmore of Tega Cay several times providing small cooking classes for their residents. Whether the class was at our off campus facility or at their location, the staff and aids have always been incredibly nice and helpful. The residents have always been happy and eager to participate and I think that’s a reflection of their care at Wellmore. It’s nice to know there’s a local business that cares so much for their senior residents and that are willing to provide a wide variety of activities to keep everyone active and sharp. By far the most outstanding experience we have had with any long-term care facility. Both of our parents required more care than our family could provide and needed everything from rehab to Assisted Living and in my dad’s case, Skilled Nursing in the final years of his life. We transferred our dad from another facility in Charlotte to Wellmore and the care was so superior at Wellmore it cannot even be compared. The team at Wellmore was friendly, capable and professional and met all of his changing needs. They had numerous activities he could attend when he arrived. They keep their residents busy and entertained with bingo, movies, games, music and song-alongs, art projects and exercise classes. They have special spirit weeks and special events - casino nights and even a country-type event where they brought in goats. They celebrate Veteran’s Day and had a Mardi Gras party. Countless activities to keep their minds and bodies engaged. When my dad became too ill to leave his room, they made sure to bring the entertainment to him. He passed last week at 95 and Alyssa brought a visiting violinist to his room to play his favorite songs for him. Another key difference at Wellmore is their staffing. Unlike some other facilities where our parents stayed, Wellmore was staffed to be able to respond to him when he needed help. We counted, and between bringing his food, medications, and meeting his other needs, he could have someone in his room at least a dozen times a day. I wish I could single out the names of all the people who went above and beyond but there are too many. Keisha, Tyranna, Sharon, Alyssa, Kathy at the front desk, Virginia whose office was across the hall from his room - those are just a few of the many. Everyone we interacted with from a nursing, CNA, and administrative perspective was outstanding. They seem to enjoy their jobs and they work well together, and they stay incredibly busy with no complaints. Finally, you can learn a lot about a facility when they don’t know you’re listening. My dad had a habit of calling me on speaker and leaving his phone on his chest. On more than one occasion helpers came in and were kind and helpful not knowing I could hear their interactions. The Wellmore team took great care of our dad and we highly recommend them for your loved one.

Although my mom’s time spent at Wellmore was very difficult due to her recovery from hip surgery and a broken shoulder, she was very appreciative of the staff who helped make her stay more comfortable for her. In our search for a retirement community for our mother we visited 12-15 facilities and narrowed it down to 2 finalists. Wellmore of Tega Cay was one of our finalists. Lauren Sanford, Lifestyle Advisor, was our contact at Wellmore and she was exceptional to work with! Her knowledge of the industry and Wellmore was impressive. She answered all of our questions, returned our calls promptly, met with us on a Saturday (even though her work week is M-F), always had a smile on her face and wanted to make sure we were well taken care of. We visited the community four times and Lauren made herself available each time to answer our continuing questions. This type of representation gave us the confidence to place our mother here. We did select another community because of the floorplan that was available at the time, but we would not hesitate to place our mother at Wellmore. It is a great community with employees that care!
