My brother has been living in the Brookdale Palestine Facility for 2years. He went there with several health issues to deal with, having said this, he has been taken care of in so many ways at this place by so many caring people that are employed here. However, one comes to mind that treats me as if I am part of her huge extended family there. She always has the answers and if she doesn’t she will give it her all to make things happen. She has so much compassion, knowledge and is magic at times. This angel/nurse’s name there is Kelly. There are not enough words to express how she has been a blessing to me and my brother is so many ways. All of the staff there, so friendly and accommodating. We love you Brookdale!

My mom has been a resident at Brookdale Palestine for many years. In that time, she has met some of the nicest people. Other residents and the entire staff are like family. It's a great place to live permanently or for a short-term stay.

There may be newer and larger places but when you consider how well the residents are cared for and how well the management team consistently performs, the overall package offered at Brookdale Palestine is by far the best place for your loved ones and the best overall value, hands down!

Brookdale has the best burgers! We were invited for a front porch lunch as a way to "tour" the home and simply get a feel for place and staff. We were pleasantly surprised with the food. We had cheese burgers with fresh cut fries and fried fish baskets with homemade tartar sauce. Very nice front porch visit with great conversation. Overall friendliness was shown among all the staff that came out to meet our grandmother with proper social distancing of course.

Brookdale Palestine is an amazing community! The residents are cheerful and very social, which is a great indicator of a happy home. I recently took part in an ice cream social Brookdale hosted for the community and it was so much fun! Stop by sometime and visit...you will come away with some great stories and new friends.

Brookdale Palestine is your home away from home. The staff is so welcoming and attentive. I have attended many social events at Brookdale. They cater to the residents providing great activities. This facility is so welcoming. I recently went on a tour for my grandmother. The sales manager was very informative about the facility and what Brookdale had to offer. By far the best tour in the area that was scheduled. I would highly recommend this facility.

When my grandma's yard & home upkeep started to be a burden we decided to look at assisted living as an option. I live in Dallas, over 2 hours from Palestine so finding a place where she would be safe & cared for was my top priority. We did our research and visited a few. Each had their pro's/con's. After our visits and weighing all the options we decided on Brookdale. She's been there for 3 months and I have no doubt we made the right decision. The staff is excellent. They genuinely care for the residents. On my last visit I met one of the care givers that has been working there for 18 years!!!!!!!

When my husband and I took his mom to visit different Assisted Living Facilities, the others we visited just "did not feel right" to her. Most were too big and had more of a "hospital" feel. Momma S. told us she knew this was a huge decision for her, and she really wanted to find the right place. As soon as we walked into Brookdale Palestine, her face relaxed. Her smile got bigger. She stood a little taller. You may think I am pulling your leg, but I'm not kidding. The friendly staff greeted us and we were treated to a delicious lunch. She visited with some of the residents and was shown a couple of model apartments, then a resident invited her in to see her apartment with her own belongings. Momma S. really liked it, and loved the idea of being able to bring some of her own furniture, especially her bed and tv! The place is beautiful, clean and serene. The inner courtyard allows the residents and their families to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine and each other. We've played yard dice out there, planted flowers and vegetables, and some residents have bird feeders and wind chimes. The Activities Director keeps the residents busy and challenges their minds with different games and outings, and always with a genuine smile on her face. Once a month is family night, with a different theme each time and lots of food. Very fun! One month family night was an informal meeting where we all asked different questions, ate snacks and visited with each other. I hope they do that again soon, as it was fun, too! The Executive Director, The Director of Health and Wellness, and the Maintenance Supervisor, along with the Activities Director are all extremely hardworking, helpful, knowledgable and personable. There are 2 chefs, and both are responsible for any weight gain that I have on the occasions that we eat with Momma S. (And shhhh.... she has gained a few pounds as well...the food is delicious! ) The Residents Assistants, to me just as important as the people I mentioned above, are also some of the hardest workers I've ever seen. They keep her room clean, work the dining room, do laundry, and other numerous tasks I am failing to mention. I can't go on enough (have you figured that out yet? Google just called me, suggested I reel it in!)... So, Momma S. has been there a year and a half, and she still she loves it there, loves the staff, and has made wonderful friends. The main reason Momma S. knew Brookdale Palestine was the right choice for her? If you ask her, she will tell you "As soon as I walked in the door, it felt like home."

There is a lot of activities for the residents. The staff there seems to really care about the residents and want the very best for them. I will absolutely make sure my mother is a resident there when she need that type of care.. Excellent facility and staff.

This is a great place! I have several friends that have parents living here and I see them post wonderful pictures and comments about this facility. I have personally been there and it is place of comfort and peace. All the residents are happy and feel at home. Plus a dear sweet friend of mine, who is so loving, caring and very enthusiastic does an amazing job coordinating activities with all the residents. You can tell how much they enjoy her and everything she does. I have yet to see anything negative about this place. You do a great job Melissa Wilbanks! This is a place to consider if your looking!!!

Mom has lived at Brookdale Palestine for just over a year and we couldn't be happier with her care. The security, staff, facility, activities, residents, etc. are all first class. The food is excellent! Make sure your tour includes lunch.

When looking at assisted living communities for parents or any loved one, you generally want to gauge the quality of life that residents have at these facilities, to help you decide if it is the place for them. The staff at Brookdale in Palestine TX, work with such synchronicity, that the place is always so enthusiastic and positive, the way all assisted living communities should be! The event coordinator seems to always have a schedule line-up that consists of events that the residents seem to enjoy so much. There was not a large number of residents the last time I visited, and this helps the staff get to spend more quality time 1-on-1 with residents. This too, contributes to the family-feel environment, and helps residents feel and know how special and important, each and every one of them are. Job well done Brookdale in Palestine!
