I have two aunts who live there and visit them often. The staff is super nice, food looks good, it's a very clean facility ,gorgeous rooms, always having activities for the residents, and the nurses take good care of the residents. My grandfather moved in to Commonwealth roughly 5-6 weeks ago. So far I have witnessed some of the most caring staff that go above and beyond. Transitions like this are difficult for folks that have been so independent all thier lives and the staff at commonwealth have definetly made that transition easier and pleasant. They have activities often and offer community outings which I think is just amazing. Anything my grandfather needs or asks for they have made sure that he gets it. The staff interations with the folks residing there and the familes are just the best. You can tell the staff are happy by the way they treat the folks living there and that in turn makes the residents living there happy. When you walk in, you can see how happy and well treated the residents are. Its always clean and has a pleasant smell unlike so many homes or facilities. I cannot thank Commonwealth enough for everything they do to provide a comfortable and home like environment while giving the best care possible. Just know you are noticed for the good and caring work you do. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

My mother has been a resident of Commonwealth Senior Living at Hillsville for a couple of months now and I am so impressed by the level of care she is receiving.It is an adjustment but the staff always goes the extra mile to ensure that her individual needs are met. The food is plentiful and there are a variety of activities to keep her occupied. Assistance is provided but independence is encouraged.She attends an exercise class each morning and loves the little bit of pampering provided by the staff. I am grateful that the staff provides medication assistance. Thank you Commonweath!

I am very pleased with my mother’s experience at Commonwealth. She feels loved and she is definitely well cared for. I had a Thanksgiving meal with my mother that was delicious and plentiful. The staff is very loving and they treat their clients with tender loving care. Mother’s room is always clean. The place is always beautifully decorated which brings a lot of joy to the clients as well as visitors.

My mother had stomach issues after returning from short outing. The staff jumped in and helped stabilize her. Thanks. When I left the Commonwealth Hillsville she was doing a lot better. The room was also neat and sheets were clean.

We have nothing but good things to say about CSL-Hillsville. The best part is the staff who go above and beyond expectations to care for our mom. We visit often and see tender loving care in action. It gives us piece of mind about the difficult decision we made when she could no longer live alone. Highly recommend!

I moved my mother to CSL Hillsville about 3 months ago because she has early onset dementia and could no longer live alone safely. For the first 20 hours of being there she was so ANGRY!! But since then, she’s loved it!! Once she settled and allowed herself a moment to truly experience living there; she realized it is a wonderful place! Is it perfect, no. But let’s be honest, no one will care for your loved one the way you would. But, I work full time and cannot be her primary caregiver. CSL Hillsville has taken away all of the day to day (hour by hour) responsibilities of taking care of mom, so I am able to focus on my own commitments. I don’t have to worry about her, I KNOW she’s being cared for! And to see her enjoying new friends, the outings, the activities and her time of relaxing in her room whenever she wants has left me asking myself why I didn’t do this sooner!! I can’t change her dementia and aging problems; though I wish I could. But I have absolutely no regrets of making Commonwealth her new home! Five Stars to CSL Hillsville! SMiller

By far the best place around for seniors! The staff is very friendly and accessible, the common areas are nicely furnished and clean, the individual apartments are kept clean. Even though my mom isn't the most outgoing person, the other residents are always friendly to her. The residents always look out for each other, especially if staff are attending to other duties. I'd especially like to recognize staff member Trish Aker as going out of her way to make feel loved when she is caring for my mom, as I know she can be difficult. Many others go out of their way to go the extra mile in taking care of my mom and all the residents.
