Yesterday, we had the opportunity to tour Encore Memory Care at South Barrington, and we were truly impressed. From the moment we walked in, there was a large group of residents actively participating in activities. The atmosphere was warm, engaging, and full of energy. Everyone seemed involved and enjoying themselves. One thing that stood out was the attentiveness of the staff. When a resident accidentally spilled a drink on the carpet, someone was there to clean it up immediately. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in maintaining the community. The community itself is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Residents have access to multiple outdoor courtyard areas where they can enjoy fresh air and spend time outside. The rooms are spacious, bright, and welcoming. If you’re looking for a senior living community for a loved one, we highly recommend checking it out. The caring environment, active lifestyle, and beautiful surroundings make it a wonderful place to call home.

Encore Memory Care of South Barrington has one of the best teams that I have observed. The CNAs & nurses are kind, csring & heloful to the residents & visitors. The kitchen workers, maintenance employee, housekeeping employees, admimistrarive sraff, CNAs & nurses all work together to provide a safe environment for the residents. Very knowledgeable CNAs & nursing staff. Onsite PT & hair salon recognizes not only the additional needs of the residents but also has compassionate professionals.

We have been so happy with the care my mom is receiving at Encore. It was a difficult and long decision process to move her out of her home, but Encore has exceeded our expectations in every way. Eileen, Kate, and Cynthia made the transition so much easier than we expected. They were warm and gracious and made my mom feel welcome and at home from the very first day. Every caretaker and nurse has been friendly and conscientious, both with meds, etc. as well as daily assistance with the numerous tasks of living with dementia. There is so much care evident in how the residents are treated as well as getting to know them as people. Staff are always available for questions and communicate with the family when there are updates, or even just observations that family would want to know. Staff is highly trained to redirect and effectively respond to issues that arise with memory care and dementia patients. It is evident that the whole staff works together and steps in to keep things running smoothly. They are a special team of people. I can not speak highly enough about the activities that take place throughout the day, Sherri is truly amazing and has a gift of conversing with the residents in a personal way that makes it feel like a family gathering, rather than a preplanned activity session. She not only makes it creative, fun and interesting, but knows how to connect with the residents and makes relevant ties to their younger lives. This really brings a warmth and personal environment to those no longer living in their own homes. She brings out the spark in people that have been living with memory diseases for years. My mom is rarely in her room, instead opting to hang out in common areas, whether she is actively participating or just observing. The facility is wonderfully cleaned and maintained - it does not have any odors like industrial kitchen, cleansers, or stale nursing-home type smells. The sitting areas are comfortable and welcoming with many options to gather with residents, do activities, or smaller, more intimate spaces. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, but honestly, my mom is rarely in the room, as there are always group gatherings to keep her interested and engaged. A huge thank you to all the wonderful, hardworking, and caring staff at Encore who do this incredibly difficult job with grace and warmth!

My FIL has been at Encore and the family is so impress on how they stay up on medical and his needs to make his time there enjoyable. The activities are impressive and people seem to enjoy very much. There is plenty of staff to accommodate the needs of each level of care. They have plenty of outside area for them to sit and they are always checking on everyone. The food is wonderful. The rooms and facility is very well kept and clean, you can ask any of the staff questions and they are so helpful we understand the process he is going through... Thank you Encore for helping ease our stress of knowing he is in a wonderful facility.. they even have a sports room for those who enjoy there favorite team to watch... I had to make the most difficult decision in my life this past June 2025 when my wife of 52 years needed more care than I could give her at home. Somehow "everyone" knew it was "time", but I had so many feelings of abandonment and guilt. I looked at 3 different facilities and am delighted that Sandy now lives at Encore in South Barrington. The smiles and the name recognition from the entire Staff is genuine. They all want each of the residents to feel as happy and welcomed as possible. Sandy dances and sings and wants to help the others -- Staff and residents alike. She has found a purpose in her life and I am so thankful. She looks forward to the activities at Encore and the visits from her family and friends - and she is content. That means so much to me, our family, and to Sandy! Thank you, Encore.

They truly care about the clients. I would recommend Encore if you are looking for a place for your loved one. The leadership at Encore is very caring and considerate. Eileen made accommodations to assist both my parents as they tried to adjust to Dad being in Memory Care. The head of nursing is also outstanding, and very compassionate. Cindy and Eileen both did their best to ease Dad's transition from home to memory care. The lines of communication were always open and my brother and I appreciated that. Unfortunately, Mom couldn't stand to be apart from Dad so they are trying in-home care. We only hope they can find something close to the high level of care provided at Encore.

My wife has been a resident at Encore for two months. This is her second memory care facility in the last 2+ years. The facility is clean and bright creating a pleasant atmosphere for residents and their families. Encore is well staffed whenever I visit and the residents are engaged at multiple levels. There is a large community room and also smaller sitting areas if you wish to be alone with your loved one. The staffers make it a point to introduce themselves to the family caregivers and get to know them. The management team and nursing director are readily available if I were to have a concern. This is a wonderful memory care center at every level. I would highly recommend Encore to anyone.

Encore of South Barrington is the "best decision" we every made for our Mom's memory care needs. As soon as you walk through the front door, you immediately feel "at home". Encore provide a warm, enjoyable but structured environment that makes your loved one feel safe and comfortable. The compassionate staff does an exceptional job assisting with bathing, dressing, meals and managing of all her medications. I personally love that there are daily fun-filled activities and programs planned to keep our mom engaged and interacting with others. Eileen and the Encore staff were the perfect fit for our mother. I cannot say enough about the excellent care and the kindness she was shown. They truly have the residents best interest in mind! The facility is clean and mom is always clean with her hair brushed. Mom loves bingo and as she has declined in her cognitive abilities, Sherri puts her right next to her so she can help her play her bingo cards. I just moved my 87-year old mom with Alzheimer's to Encore after an exhaustive search for the right memory care place for her. What I love about Encore is that it is 100% memory care residents - so that is their whole focus! Alisa Owen and the nurse director, Cynthia, are fantastic. My mom was staying at a rehab facility 30 minutes away, and they took the time to visit her, do the intake assessment, and coordinate her transfer with the rehab discharge coordinator with very minimal involvement from me. They have made arrangements to continue her therapy at Encore, switch over her pharmacy to them, and even the primary care doctor to one who visits in-house. Alisa and Cynthia made this entire transition incredibly easy. The facility is incredibly clean, smells good, is beautifully decorated and brightly lit. Caregiver faces are friendly. The rooms come fully furnished (the only facility we looked at that provides furnishings) and the room sizes are generous. Pricing was also very competitive with other facilities who don't offer as much. I feel like my mom will get the social interaction she needs to help these last years be enjoyable for her. - Gina Williams

It is a very difficult decision and process for finding a care facility for a family member with dementia. We reached out to Encore after my mother's physical and mental health decline had made it so she needed to be in a memory care facility. We toured and researched several places. The team at Encore acted as an advocate for my mom and family to help transition my mom from a rehab facility into Encore. They went above and beyond to help get my mom settled into the facility. Since she has been living there, the care she has received has been truly compassionate and exceptional. They treat her with kindness, give her options and treat her with respect, and keep her active and engaged. When the only thing you can hope for is that your mom is comfortable and cared for in a loving way, Encore absolutely delivers this. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Third time's the charm! I've had my mom in a coulple other places with mostly disappointing experiences. A friend recommended Encore and I couldn't be happier. Aesthetically, the place is bright and charming, but the real beauty is in the people. The facility is very well run, the staff is so supportive, and everyone working there just seems happy. I used to dread calling or emailing her prior residences, but not here. They bend over backwards to help me with whatever I need. I rarely get voicemail, and when I do my call is returned promptly. Plus, my mom looks healthier than she's been in years. They take good care of her, and I sincerely appreciate them for it.

My wife passed away at the end of October 2022. As I look back on why I chose Revere Court of South Barrington, I can remember my first visit, unannounced June 2019. While I waited for a staff member to take me on a tour. I looked around and saw a group of residents playing a game. I also saw something that I had never seen at any other care facility I perversely visited. A caretaker was on her knees holding the hand of a resident helping her get up. I said to myself, this is the place for my wife. The best decision I made, my wife was treated with dignity, respect, and most important; everyone at the facility cares. Trusting the care of your loved one to someone is never easy however, Encore's staff and facilities have allowed us to have some peace. Encore's staff, residents, and their families have truly made it feel like home for our mom. Safety and cleanliness are a priority at the facility. Excellent home for Mom and Dad!! Definitely 5 stars!! My parents are 80 and 84 years old and have been here for over a year and I cannot say enough great things about Revere Court! From the nurses & caregivers to the chefs/kitchen staff as well as the event coordinators & administrators, everyone truly goes the extra mile to ensure a safe, fun and engaging environment for the residents. The communication provided to family members is great too. Revere Court is exceptionally clean and well kept as they take pride in the detail work and it definitely shows.
