I have been a resident at Primrose Chateau for 2 1/2 years and feel like it’s “home”. It’s easy to make new friends. Staff are excellent and the building is well maintained. Hoping that much needed new windows will be installed soon. Many residents miss Dale, but our new CEO Sharon is doing a fantastic job. She is a good listener and takes time to talk if you have any concerns. Activities are well organized. I especially enjoy Yoga with Frances and her classes are popular. I would like to compliment Vivien for her very efficient cleaning of my suite. Whether she is cleaning or serving in the Dining Room, you can count on Vivien to have a smile on her face! Meals are generally well prepared and presentation is good. I am often disappointed in the soups, especially the Cream of Spinich which is not very appetizing in appearance or taste. I too am concerned about the increases in rent that seem excessive and beyond the cost of living index. Hopefully I can afford to live here for many years to come as I am happy here.

As a family, we had the privilege of helping our parents become residents at Primrose Chateau, at a time in their lives when meals and full time management of their home was becoming a challenge. Dale, Sharon and the team at Primrose made the transition as seamless as possible and today, mom and dad are enjoying delicious meals, and new friends and activities. This note hangs near the front door of their suite - love and care do, indeed, make Primrose Chateau feel like home.

I moved here September last year so far I'm loving it. The staff is wonderful, I like my suite. I have a nice view from balcony. I like the activities in the building, it keeps you busy and most of all I like the the food here. It's like eating in the restaurant, you don't have to do dishes or anything and you're eating with your friends. And you have a bus to take you in places since I don't drive anymore.

The staff at Primrose Chateau treat the place like home and us residents like family. There is a kindness that extends across the whole team. Servers in the dining room recall drink orders. The cleaners are friendly and stop to share a few words or a smile. The bus driver entertains the bus whether on a journey for an outing or just heading to an appointment. The art teacher and volunteer assistant teach something new and encourage the progress being made. The activities coordinator creates a fun environment for games in the atrium. The nurses and care workers help those that need a little support and I can tell they really care about us. The senior staff listen closely to concerns but also assist in decorating the whole house at Christmastime. This is a safe, comfortable, and fun place to live. I am very grateful to be here and grateful for the staff that don’t just work here, but also strive to create a home for us to live in.

When it was time to look into a retirement home, Primrose Chateau was my parent’s first choice. It’s a lovely place, with a spacious dining room, a creative rotating selection of classes, parties, games, movies, concerts, and outings to keep residents engaged and healthy. There is the option to engage in-house nursing and an in-house salon as well for most resident needs. The staff is warm, friendly, helpful, and patient. I’ve heard some disappointments about food recently, and sometimes the team can be a bit short staffed, however I gather that the team is working on improving that right now. The best compliment I’ve heard is a resident whose parent was in Primrose in the past now lives here, so it looks like Primrose takes care of families across generations!

Our parents have been living at Primrose Chateau for over 2 years. The transition from living on their own to assisted living has been nothing but outstanding. They are extremely comfortable in their suite, someone comes in once a week for housekeeping duties, the meals are healthy and interesting, activities are planned daily and rides are even provided for appointments and other necessary outings. This is a stress free and positive environment. If our parents are happy then we are happy. We would highly recommend Primrose Chateau to anyone looking for assisted living.

A dear friend has been living at Primrose Chateau for over two years and would agree the staff are wonderful, however the quality of the meals has been steadily declining. In order to get a hot, tasty meal she has to go out. All her complaints have fallen on deaf ears. Surely with the hefty increase in rent something could be done. It really is a lovely place otherwise.

My mother has been at the Primrose Chateau for over two years. From the first day onward she has thrived there “ physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. She has made wonderful new friends, found new hobbies, and engaged in stimulating programs both within and outside the residence. There are so many daily programs. Transportation to appointments, shopping, and activities is provided. The residents wear a device to call for help when needed. There is a hair stylist on-site. The management team at the Primrose Chateau is outstanding. The management has assembled the most capable, caring, available, and hard-working staff any retirement community could ever wish for. ANY issues that arise are addressed immediately. The management is 100% hands-on “ they involve themselves in all aspects of the community including taking on every part of meal service, maintaining the apartments and building, holding weekly feedback sessions for input from residents, and celebrating with the residents, etc. The residents interact with the management team informally throughout the day. The entire staff is exceptional. The food at the Primrose Chateau is excellent. Nutritious and delicious meals are cooked and served three times a day. There are options at each meal and the variety of menus presented is impressive. I tell this from personal experience eating in the dining room when I stay with my mother at the Chateau. Feedback on meals served is also collected from residents and changes are made to menus per the feedback. My family cannot recommend the Primrose Chateau enough. The management and staff and the operation of the community are role models for how a retirement community should be run. My mother and our family are thrilled with the Primrose Chateau.

My Dad has been living at Primrose for approximately three years. The staff have made him feel loved and respected. The administrative staff is top-notch and hands on. It is not unusual to see them lending a hand wherever it is needed. The kitchen staff are great cooks and love to joke around (top-notch cinnamon buns!). If there are issues in Dad’s suite, they are immediately looked after. We really appreciate the in-house care team that looks after Dad’s personal care. We can tell they have established a bond with Dad and enjoy him as much as he enjoys them. Having the in-house laundry/cleaning service is also wonderful. Add to the above all the available activities and excursions and you have a winning team! Great job, Primrose!

I spent eight months at Primrose Chateau. I moved there because I was not capable of looking after myself completely and was quite sick. The Management and staff are some of the very best that I have come in contact with. They care and concern for each and every client is impeccable. The apartments, the meals, the entertainment the services are some of the best that I have seen. I have now moved on because I am capable of looking after myself. Will always have a place to move to when it becomes my time to go into retirement home.

Primrose Chateau deserves this 5 star rating. My Mom Doris lived there for 2 years. All of the staff are very caring, kind, and helpful. The Golden Home staff are all amazing as well. My dad was a resident at Primrose and his experience was exceptional. The staff are professional, attentive and always available to assist. My Aunt moved into Primrose Chateau in early January. The move could not have been made easier. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and willing to lend a hand wherever we needed. All our needs were met quickly. Any questions were answered immediately. It is a beautiful facility, made so by the surroundings but mostly by the people that work there. I would recommend Primrose Chateau to anyone.
