Although my Mom was never able to become a resident here, this is exactly where we wanted her to be. From first speaking with Jil M. on the phone to then meeting her and touring the facility it was nothing short of wonderful. She was so welcoming to us and made us feel a part of the facility family and we would so have felt comfortable with our Mom there. Unfortunately she was called to Heaven before we could bring her to the facility. It is a top notch facility from top to bottom. I would definitely recommend having a patent or spouse her.

one the nicest buildings. i've had several family members and friends that not only have worked here but also have brought their family members here and Ive always heard such great things. I decided to bring my aunt here, as she is one of my only living relatives that are older that im close to, not only is she extremely happy here but I got a nice surprise by seeing somebody that I've crossed paths with quite a few times in taking care of a lot of other family members, who is the new E.D. Michelle. I have met Michelle many, many years ago and I've had a lot of family members and friends that I've gone in and out of homes and I've run into her a few times throughout the years and she is always been fantastic. Her priority is caring for her residents, but not only her residents, but her employees as well. The buildings she has ran are always some of the happiest when she's there and she's an excellent person and excellent E.D. I think its just fantastic too be working with her again.

The leadership and staff at the Allegheny Place are amazing! Everyone is so kind, patient and understanding. They keep our family informed and really work with us to make sure that my mother and father's needs are met. They are responsive and caring and really go above and beyond everyday! The facility is clean, beautifully decorated and has a warm feeling of home. The daily activities keep the residents engaged in social interactions and my mother looks forward to them each day! Transitioning my parents to living outside of their home was extremely difficult, but the wonderful folks at the Allegheny Place made a challenging time less stressful and comforting for me and my family.

I placed my father in their care this winter. He has dementia and I was assured they would care for him and they had many levels of care to be able to provide for him. Apparently he walked out of the front door one day. They said he had to be in a locked ward which is fine. There have been some issues with the transfer from the pandemic but things are slowly moving along. The management is taking care of the situation and it looks like it will be resolved shortly.

I wasnt sure what Assisted living place that I wanted to put my loved one in. When I called I talked to Sara, and she gave us a virtual tour of the facility. She spent so much time making us feel comfortable and answering our questions. Sara went up and above what I expected. She is a gem. Next I talked to Brandon, and he was so caring and listened to my concerns. He even told me that I could have his cell phone so that I could call him anytime if I ever had a problem. What place does that? They took such wonderful care of my loved one, and when he was getting depressed Brandon was in his room talking with him, and being his biggest cheer leader. You hear all these terrible stories about Assisted Living facilities, but this one is a gem. What makes this place different is that it starts at the top with good people who hire good people who care.

There always seems to be something going on at this community. They keep the community well taken care of. The staff are attentive, personable and responsive. They greeted mom with open arms and made the transition into the community a good experience. The food is ok. When we first visited they made us feel they wanted mom there. They followed up with us and I would recommend this community.

This is a clean, well-maintained facility. The staff are courteous and caring. The rooms are nice and the facility is adequately equipped. However, beware of the prices that are initially quoted. There are two costs involved: the first is for basic occupancy and the second is a personal care cost. They have a sliding level of care scale for their personal care costs. It goes from 0 to 60 in increments of 10 (0, 10, 20 ...). This implied that the highest personal care costs were at a level which would not exceed the level of 60. Based on the highest level of personal care cost that were disclosed to us, we believed that Allegheny Place would fit into our budget. An evaluation of the resident is performed to determine the actual level of care required. You can imagine our surprise and disappointment when our personal care costs EXCEEDED the highest level of 60. They were going to charge us a total cost comparable to a Skilled Nursing Facility which is much more expensive than an assisted living facility. Needless to say, we did not choose Allegheny Place because of this.
