We are very happy we found Villagia in the Glebe. The management and staff were very helpful during our move and as we were settling into the residence. High priority is given to the health services provided, and a very flexible meal service allows nutritious well balanced foods that are well prepared and well presented. Opportunities for positive socializing are provided mainly in the ballroom but are supplemented by other interesting and entertaining activities in many other areas. When necessary transportation is provided for events that occur outside the residence. All services in the residence are provided by friendly competent super staff who have created a secure, comfortable environment.

Lots of really caring, compassionate, and helpful staff from the top of the management right through to housekeeping. The food is well prepared and well balanced, and the dining area itself is very nice. The building itself is a little old, and that lends itself to some hot hallways in the summer months, and low water pressure in the units. Also, the entry level units are a bit on the small side. All in all this wouldn't be a bad place to spend my golden years.

My Mom just moved into the Villagia and I can't compliment the staff enough. They were amazing in helping during the move and after making sure my Mom was comfortable and felt welcome. on behalf of my sister and I, we could not be happier.

The management team of this facility are a bunch of jackasses. I live directly across the street and in the aftermath of a catastrophic storm that crashed a huge tree into my home and took out all utilities for what will likely be days or weeks, these kind souls refused to offer up guest wifi access to their neighbours with children. We were just trying to stay in contact with friends and family after the damage. From now on I better not hear delivery trucks honking outside of core business hours or have them blocking my driveway. And if you take issue with this review, I should be easy to find. If they treat neighbours this way how do you think they treat your loved ones when no one is looking.

The staff, residents and volunteers at Villagia are so welcoming and caring. I was fortunate to work with all of their staff, training them on Safe Lifting and Transferring Techniques while working with residents, helping to keep them and themselves safe. They put a lot of care into the work they do and anyone would be happy to be there.

My son and I visited Villagia in the Glebe yesterday to participate in their Carnival Week. My son performed a magic show for the residents. We were impressed by the professionalism of the staff, and the overall positive environment. Looking forward to visiting again and another performance by The Great Arjunia in the future. Hats off to the staff for organizing so many quality events during Carnival Week.

My friend lived at Villagia for over three years and enjoyed the 1 bedroom apartment that was adapted to be wheelchair accessible. She appreciated that the kitchen was able to provide healthy and varied vegetarian meals and consulted her in menu planning. She enjoyed being part of a choir that started using more contemporary songs to meet the interests of younger residents.

My dear friend has just passed away. She moved to Villagia in the Glebe just over a year ago. She was delighted to be there, always telling me how well looked after and comfortable she was. I was so happy that she was in good and safe hands. As her health deteriorated and I was unable to be with her due to COVID restrictions, it was I who was comforted by knowing that the management and staff were always on top of her situation, communicating quickly with me and always available for discussion and suggestions for her care. It was obvious, when they called, that the nursing staff really cared about my friends well being and wanted the best for her. She did not die alone but with caring staff around her.

The management cares deeply for its residents and is always supportive staff.The quality and variety of food is outstanding and residents and guests always comment on how delicious it is. I had an incredibly stressful time trying to find a retirement home for my mother during the first wave of the pandemic, especially because she needed somewhere that could offer dementia care into the future. Villagia came through for us and were exceptionally kind and helpful in getting the right suite for my mother. She found it traumatic to move from independence in her own house to a 1-bedroom apartment, especially starting off in quarantine! But the Villagia staff got her through it and now she absolutely loves it there. She has a larger, sunnier apartment than in any of the other places wed seen; their cooks produce excellent vegetarian cuisine (this is pretty hard to track down in retirement residences); she loves the proximity to Loblaws and the Bank St Glebe shops. She keeps saying how lucky she was to get in there. Which means I have peace of mind too!

I recently had major surgery and required a place to recover. I decided to go to Villagia in the Glebe for my respite care. The facility is a mix of seniors and respite care .could not have asked for better care and attention, if it came from family. The staff were attentive, caring and happy which create a very positive atmosphere. This is demonstrated each and every day in speaking with the residents and their overall happinessThe food was varied and terrific and the wait staff was always awesome. The nursing staff kept checking on me to ensure I was doing what my doctor recommended for continued health improvement. Lastly, the administrative staff took an interest to make sure the respite visit was all it could be be.Awesome all the way around!!!

The staff at the Villagia in the Glebe have been nothing short of stupendous.During a pandemic, when I couldnt travel from my home in New Brunswick to Ottawa they did all they could to help me with my aunt. They moved her to palliative care on another floor when she became too ill stay in her apartment on a higher floor. They FaceTimed pictures when I needed to see her belongings to have them packed and shipped. Anything I needed they did....and more. They never complained about all the times I called with questions or asking for favours to be done. They always kept me up to date on my aunts condition over the years. I can never thank them enough for being so generous with their time. I couldnt have taken care of my aunt from NB and I couldnt go to Ottawa because of covid and they made her last days as comfortable for her as I could have hoped. They were a God send. I would highly recommend the Villagia to anybody wanting a caring facility for themselves or their loved ones to reside.

We used this facility for a family member who was healing after surgery. The staff are amazing, gentle, very understanding and truly compassionate putting the needs of the patient first. Im especially impressed with Sue who was answering all my questions even on the weekend and in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend this place for respite care.

I have worked in many different retirement homes and Villagia in the Glebe is by far the best experience I had. I was with Villagia for just over a year and throughout the time Ive learned so much about teamwork and how a company is supposed to be ran. The people I worked with always had the best intentions to make the resident happy and healthy. It is so good to see a company that truly stands for putting the residents first. All of the departments here go above and beyond to make the resident comfortable and feel at home. The team youll work with is diverse and full of great people that have been with the company for many years. Overall there is nothing negative I can say about working at Villagia in the Glebe. It will be hard to find another place that lives up to this experience and very difficult to say goodbye!

Our family had an excellent experience at the Villagia while our 89 mother stayed there in the independent living one bedroom apartment. The executive staff are amazing, very accommodating, professional and always looking for the best solution for the resident. Highly recommend it.

Villagia was well known for its Respite Care at Elizabeth Bruyere, where my elderly mother rehabilitated, after a hip surgery. It was recommended by staff at EB, as well an in-law family member, who already spent a year at Villagia.Our experience started with a series of phone calls with Sue who could be easily reached and quickly developed an understanding the complexities of my mothers needs. Villagia impressed us with its positive atmosphere, high level of energy and interest of health care staff and administrative staff in the residents.We look forward to visiting our relative at Villagia again and or using their services, if needed by another family member.

I stayed at the Villagia for approx two weeks while recuperating from a hip replacement. The accommodations were first class and so was the food. All the staff were very friendly and Id highly recommend the Villagia for short or long term care.

Fantastic retirement home with great staff and effective management.As a condo owner (Rental, and planning for a family retirement) in their attached building for the past year I continue to be impressed by the improvements and changes that the Villagia has undergone.The best parts for me are the responsive administration staff and the dining room. Really delicious food thanks to their great cooks and new head chef, and recently they offer even more options at every meal.Wonderful place.
