When it came time for my parents to move out of the house I was born in, I searched all over Kingston to find them a new place to call home. From the moment I walked into the Kingsdale Chateau, I could tell it's a caring and welcoming community. The staff truly put their hearts into what they do and it shows in the beautifully maintained property, daily activities and healthy home cooked meals. Now that my parents are settling in, I can rest knowing that they're together, in a safe and comfortable place that feels like home. Thank you Janette and all the staff who make this place so special.

My mother initially came to this retirement community for a temporary stay, but after such a wonderful experience, she has now decided to become a full-time resident. From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond to make her feel welcome, help her understand the community, and ensure she could comfortably find her way around the building. The warmth and friendliness of everyone there truly creates a caring neighborhood atmosphere. My mother constantly comments on how excellent the food is ” not only the quality, but also the variety and choice offered each day. It has exceeded her expectations. Most importantly, our family has peace of mind knowing she is safe, supported, and surrounded by kind, attentive staff and friends. We are incredibly grateful for the sense of community, comfortable apartment , outdoor space and quality of food.

Our Mom has had the good fortune to live at Kingsdale Chateau since last August. It has been such a positive experience. The staff are so friendly, caring and attentive. The residence is clean and bright and welcoming. The meals are great and there is always something fun to take part in. I would highly recommend Kingsdale Chateau.

Kingsdale Chateau has been an excellent place for my mom. Janette and the team were so patient and kind with her as she navigated this transition. They have extremely accommodating with her needs. The food is great, the room is extremely well maintained. I highly recommend Kingsdale Chateau for anyone who's looking for those in need of a wonderful senior apartment.

My mother found a home at Kingsdale Chateau. There she feels like she is part of a community that cares about her well-being; from the people who live there, to the staff who work there. Her residence is kept clean, as are the facilities; meals are healthy, though her sweet tooth is never satisfied; and the activities meet her needs. The management listens and continually works to keep her safe and happy. Family members can visit, share a meal or even stay overnight if accommodations are available. The recent staff changes are disruptive but every attempt is being made to maintain the positive environment that attracted my mother in the first place to Kingsdale Chateau.

The residents and staff at Kingsdale Chateau have generously hosted my community book club monthly meetings for the last 2 years. My father has been living at Kingsdale for almost three years and we are incredibly grateful for the care and sense of community he has found here. We looked at other retirement homes for our Mom in the area, and have found Kingsdale the place for her to call home. 100% The staff is kind, friendly, and attentive to all needs of the many residents. They do care. Don't look any further. There are many activities daily/weekly/monthly to keep them active, and to help them enjoy their new residence.

The Kingsdale Chateau has been my mom’s home for the past 9 years, and she’s been very happy there. The staff are warm and friendly, and the food is good. They have a nice variety of activities for the residents from live music in the evenings to games during the day. Overall, I’d recommend it.

I stayed there 3 nights with my Mother in August 2023. The staff are all friendly and nice. But, the food is simply inedible. There is a severe lack of proteins and vegetables. The only fresh thing was the salad, which was minuscule. Either the chef is terrible or all they are provided is frozen food...which all tastes bland and microwaved. No one says anything. I couldn't even eat there on the 3rd day and had to get us Harvey's, which tasted like the worlds best burger by then... If you want the General Manager to know about this post, YOU tell them. Herein lies the problem...It's not my job!

Our mum has been warmly welcomed into the Kingsdale Chateau active seniors community from the first day. The Resident Ambassadors group took her under their wings to ensure she would not feel alone and to guide her through her first week. She enjoys healthy, homestyle meals, bright and clean common areas and a variety of planned acitivities, all thanks to the management and staff who are caring, friendly and helpful. Special holiday and musical events add to the fun. The Kingsdale Chateau is a wonderful choice for our mum and she is proud to call it home.

If your looking for caring staff and a fun, clean place for you or your family member to reside, look no further! There's always lots of fun activities and the food is 5 star. The shuttle bus can take you to all your appointments or shopping needs. There is a staff member available 24/7 if you need assistance. Housekeeping is included.

Helped an elderly friend move in to Kingsdale few months ago. We find the environment and staff quite hospitable and friendly. They always seem to be in a good mood and helpful. Their prices are excellent. The premises are a bit dated. clean and well maintained but don’t match the more expensive (newer) homes but those run about $1500 more per month. Kingsdale is a bargain.

My mom lives her,loves the grounds building. She is kept busy with the activities, BUT the food is terrible. She has been disappointed more often then not. She says the have meetings and never result in changes. Aside from the food mom likes it here
