My name is Jim Castelli and I have lived at Atria for 9.5 years and at Burlington Gardens for almost 9 of those years. I came here with my wife but she went to long term care before the first year was up. Burlington Gardens took care of me by giving me a life with many friends, entertainment and other activities. I have over the years done many of my own things. I publish a newsletter, help with tv problems, change watch batteries, run karaoke singalong and am past chair of the residents' council. I have been residing at Burlington Gardens for three months. It was a major change for me after 83 years of living in my own home, or homes owned by my family! A relative of mine resides in this retirement community. Having meals there is a very pleasant experience. The food is made and served with care. There’s always something different on the menu and everything is delicious. Dean Garner takes pride in the food he prepares. I have observed him engaging with the residents, making sure they’re happy with their meals and asking how their days are going. No doubt, this makes my relative and other residents feel good. Shout out to Mona my lovely cleaning lady. She always has a smile on her face and does an amazing job every week. She changes the linens weekly and leaves my bed sharp looking like a hotel room. She always says hi and makes me feel welcomed.

The Management at Burlington Gardens is outstanding, they truly care about their residents and are quick to accommodate the things that need immediate attention. The cleaning staff are very efficient, they launder the sheets and towels weekly and it is never mixed in with other residents bedding. Thank you Mona. My mother moved to Burlington Gardens almost a year ago. Although it has taken her some time to adjust, she is very appreciative of her beautiful living accommodations, which include two bedrooms and a lovely balcony overlooking the picturesque grounds which is a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the surroundings in nicer weather. She feels that the staff at Burlington Gardens work very hard to create a warm and welcoming environment for the residents. They are dedicated, know each resident by name, understand their individual preferences, and are always willing to step in and support one another as needed. There is a wide variety of games, activities, and entertainment options available, offering something for everyone. The Burlington Gardens bus is another valuable feature, allowing residents to go on outings or run errands conveniently. Any issues that have arisen in my mother’s unit have been promptly addressed and resolved. When we were touring Burlington Gardens, Sagar Khot played an instrumental role in helping our family view several units, often more than once, and was always ready to answer our many questions. His genuine care for the residents and their families was evident. He goes out of his way to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, understanding how challenging a move like this can be. My mother has also developed a special fondness for Mona, who is responsible for cleaning the residents’ units. Mona has a wonderful sense of humor, takes time to get to know each resident, and is extremely hardworking. Not only does she leave my mother’s suite spotless, but her kindness and nurturing demeanor consistently brighten my mother’s day. My mother refers to her as a true gem. The residents of Burlington Gardens are equally warm and welcoming, making newcomers feel at home very quickly. While transitioning to a new living situation can be difficult, all of these factors have made the move much easier for my mother. For that, both she and our entire family are truly grateful.

This has been a very good experience moving to Burlington Gardens. I was quite doubtful, moving from my 3 bedroom house to a 2 room apartment but I found that it was all I needed. The staff here are so wonderful and helpful in every way. I must give special thanks to Mona who cleans my apt. every week,changing my bed, washing the sheets and towels, cleaning my bath room etc. etc. She is a gem and will do anything I ask of her. I recently had a look around Burlington Gardens Retirement Home as a potential option for a family member. The place was clean, quiet, and had a welcoming feel. The staff were friendly and took the time to answer my questions, which I really appreciated. The residents seemed comfortable and engaged, and there were a variety of activities on the schedule. The common areas were bright and nicely kept, and the rooms looked spacious and well-maintained. Overall, it made a good impression, and it’s definitely a place we’ll be considering moving forward.

There's not enough time or space to list all the wonderful things about Burlington Gardens. The staff are amazing and really care for the residents, from the cleaning staff to the dining staff and right up to the manager, Sagar. He knows every resident by name as well as their families and what's going on with their lives. If a resident isn't coming down for a meal they notice right away and come up to check on them and make accommodations to ensure they're taken care of. I would recommend this to anyone who has family members that need to have some extra care while still having a level of Independence that works for them. And I haven't even started talking about all of the activities that happen each day to keep the residents as busy as they want to be.

It’s independent living and we’re doing very well here lots of entertainment and things to do The main chef Dean, Does a great job at planning and cooking meals. He tries to keep things buried and delicious and is extremely hard to please everybody, but he is trying very hard to do it His personality is very engaging and very helpful to those who ask for things he is doing a great job. My mother moved in last fall. Really lovely residents. First thing we noticed is how friendly and happy people seem. Staff is attentive and helpful. Rooms are nice - not fancy but spacious and clean. Grounds are also very nice. I would definitely recommend.

In December, 2024 mom had an unexpected admission to the hospital. It was confirmed then that mom should no longer live alone. During our quest to help, mom became extremely resistant to moving in with any of her 3 children. She was determined to remain as independent as possible. So in our effort to preserve as much autonomy for mom as would be safe, Burlington Gardens was a perfect find, considering our collective wants and needs. Independent living with just the right amount of surveillance/safety, activities and meals. As children, we were hoping and wishing that mom would want to take advantage of all the wonderful amenities provided here. We were only fooling ourselves because our mom had become moderately reclusive since the passing of our step father and that was not going to change. Burlington Gardens provided the perfect neutral environment to enable us as a family to have the serious conversations regarding next steps. I am a retired nurse who has spent many years looking after seniors. Some times it is a "transitional space" that might be indicated to help families deal with some of the typical changes our folks go through. It gave all of us an opportunity to "breath" and clear our heads. It is interesting how much clarity can be achieved when everyone just takes a little more time to make those final life altering decisions. It took my mom 4 months to eventually choose to move in with me. If she had never chosen to leave Burlington Gardens, we still would have been extremely happy with all that was offered there. This is by far one of the better independent living/retirement homes in Burlington and the surrounding area. They are very professional and kind to all the residents/family that visit, and the food is SUPERB! I cannot express how truly wonderful they are. Sagar and his team made us feel at home from the moment we went to view the facility. Everyone treated Dad with respect, dignity, class, and compassion. We moved to the country with my daughter and her husband about 15 years ago. It was beautiful there and we were very happy but eventually my daughter retired from her position and she and her husband were able to start travelling and enjoy life. I was 86 years old, and although I still had my driver’s license, realized that the day was coming that I would no longer be able to drive places and perhaps we should look for somewhere to retire to. In earlier days when I sang with The Burlington Choir we sang at many senior’s homes, but I could think of reasons that I didn’t want to go to most of them. I picked three phone numbers out of the phone book to call before someone answered the phone and that was Burlington Gardens. I made an appointment for that afternoon. I was first impressed by the building itself, my interview with the General Manager, the people I met during my visit and the things offered by Burlington Gardens for the residents. One of the services is a bus service for things like doctor’s appointments, stores for supplies and one day a week a drive through the surrounding area just for enjoyment. I also fell in love with the trees and gardens at Burlington Gardens and the paved walkways that you could use to walk around the buildings (where we were once accompanied by a little squirrel for a while and on other walks saw several other little animals). We both highly recommend Burlington Gardens for anyone who is looking for a friendly, nice place to stay.

I took a tour of this wonderful facility today where the residents were out enjoying a fun filled picnic and outdoor activities. I had a chance to see the grounds with peaceful walking trails and so many areas to enjoy the outdoors. Today July 17.2024 , met with Laura at the Burlington Gardens Residence. Laura provided an extensive tour of the facilities , showed the many options for accommodations and answered all questions , concerns etc . Happened to meet some residents who couldn’t speak highly enough of their home . Staff were cheerful and helpful and the overall impression was one of satisfaction , enjoyment and happiness . The facility is extremely clean and bright, a top priority there . With only 3 floors it was easy to navigate . I can see if seniors are ready for independent living in a safe well run facility surrounded by other seniors this would a great place to be . Burlington Gardens is a hidden gem, tucked away close to RBG and the gorgeous trails nearby. Their new Community Sales Director, Laura, is so lovely to work with- a very positive, enthusiastic person with incredible customer focus. Their recent changes to staff and menus have elevated this property, as if it wasn't already adorable enough. They are surrounded by incredible gardens and mature trees- which can be enjoyed from indoors or out. The building feels warm and inviting, like a quaint village. Certainly somewhere we recommend to our independent senior clients as their forever home. With spacious suites, including townhouse bungalows, and parking available for all, it's hard to beat!

So far they’ve been amazing. The sales director, Laura Byers, goes over and above what her job description is to help families and their loved ones get settled. She’s been a huge benefit during this transition. Mom has been here for five months and does not like food at all. Gotta say I’ve tried it also and it isn’t great. Hopefully they work in that moving forward.

We moved in two weeks ago and are thrilled with our accommodation and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Although the food is quite good there is room for improvement. It is a beautiful setting with lovely grounds and we know we are going to love it here.

My mom lived there! Her room overlooked Unsworth’s Pool. A brand new facility with upscale Dining area. A pool table & Sete on balcony above. They had many functions including Easter Egg hunt for my G- Kids. A Grand Piano was a centerpiece below a huge silo of light!

I have been searching for a while and have visited many residences. BG, was one of the cleanest, brightest and well maintained. The staff are awesome and more importantly, the residents looked happy and the place was buzzing with activities. I am on the list hoping.

My Grandmother chose Burlington Gardens after we visited the surrounding area in the Halton region looking for her forever home. This warm and inviting community on picturesque grounds combined with their professional and thoughtful staff continue to exceed our expectations...including great food! Gramma has a gorgeous suite with a balcony and is enjoying her new friends and all the wonderful opportunities and activities, and day trips they offer. We couldn't be happier knowing she is in an environment where she is safe, happy and enjoying a good quality of life in her senior years.

My mom has nothing but praise for everyone here. Thanks for running a wonderful happy environment for all the seniors. It feels like a small community and everyone is helpful and friendly. The chef prepared meals and daily home made bread are delicious. My mother loves her apartment and her life at Burlington Gardens. Peace of mind for me! I have absolutely no hesitation fully recommending this wonderful retirement home.

they allow my grandma to sit I her broken ostomy bag all day, they let her sit in wet pee clothes and come down to eat multiple times. They say they can't help her, have to wait until the pharmacy opens - Sunday. she is 92 years old. This is inhumane and she is literally sitting in piss. She orders the stuff herself, nobody will help see where it is and why they were too busy to drop it off.
