My father has dementia. His condition became more than my working family could keep up with. We visited many facilities in a 50 mile radius. None could compare to The Magnolia at Oxford Commons. Their Assisted Living is amazing along with an amazing staff. If you choose this facility for you or your loved one, please ask for Lauren and she will blow you away with amazing hospitality and service. Memory Care is also built into the facility when that time comes. Its been an overwhelming postive experience so far. My father has been there over 30 days and the staff has done everything to acclimate and help him with all his needs.

Just WOW. We had such a blessed experience at The Magnolia at Oxford Commons. Not only is the building beautiful, but the people inside of it are even more so. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome, hugs, and smiles. The residents all seem to be very happy, and the staff obviously love their jobs. And the talented chef Gary no words there’s not enough stars in the world to rate the food and hospitality. This is not a place you end up, it’s a place that receives you with open arms. What an AWESOME place for these residents to call home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ™

My mother has been at the Magnolia for 3 years. We started in the assisted living side and the past year we have moved into memory care. The caregivers and activity people are top notch. I feel like they think we are part of their family and treat us as such. We could not ask for a better place to help us care for our "granny". She is constantly engaged during the day whether it is activities in the main room or an outing with Mrs. Kim and a few of her friends. Thank you for all you do! You are truly a blessing to so many!

We had an incredibly short time to find an assisted living arrangement for my husband, prepare his room, and move him in. The facility is very nice, but that doesn’t guarantee good care. People make for good care, and The Magnolia has good people. Edward was invaluable in getting the paperwork and other mechanics done. Kim spent several hours with us making sure she understood my husband’s unique personality and needs and working for a seamless transition. Brandon worked to get the room painted and TV mounted. Vanessa welcomed us and oversaw everything. My husband has been at The Magnolia for almost six months now and has enjoyed a high quality of care and programming. He spends no time in his room because he’s more interested in participating in activities and visiting with the staff. I have received text, email, and phone reports and updates from staff, nurses, and the nurse practitioner whenever there has been a change or concern, no matter how small. I live very close by and drop in often, so I know how all residents are cared for and even loved. My husband still loves to eat, and he never complains about the food. In fact, he can actually remember what he had for lunch. I recently participated in a friends and family dinner that was fabulous! I feel confident that my husband is in a safe, comfortable environment with people who are caring for him well.

We needed help with our grandmother 24 hours a day. She is 96 years old and she has been admitted and is now a resident at the magnolia. This is a very nice place. Very good food and the staff is excellent. I would suggest this for anyone that needs Around the clock Assistance and Care for your elderly family members. We searched foreign and wild and chose this in Oxford, Mississippi the magnolia impressed us, and the apartments are really nice. You can furnish them the way you’d like you also can update them if you want to at your expense.

Mom and Dad have been at The Magnolia for a couple months now, and we are extremely pleased. Mom is fully independent, but Dad suffers from Parkinson’s and dementia and has limited mobility. The leadership and staff at The Magnolia have really gotten to know my parents and have provided Mom with exactly the kind of support we hoped she would get. In addition, the activities coordinator is an upbeat ray of sunshine who works hard to keep residents happy and engaged. Staff provide rides to and from local appointments when needed. With physical therapy (and occupational and speech), a salon, massage therapy, and even mani/pedis all available onsite, life has become much easier for Mom and Dad. My folks really enjoy the food and have found community among the residents. My sister and I have newfound peace of mind. Highly recommend.

A chair has been holding my mother’s French doors closed for almost a year & I’ve asked repeatedly for it to be fixed. Have also asked for my mother to get help bathing weekly, which is an offered service, but that never happens and she smells awful and has sores all over her arms and legs because of it. Garbage is emptied but help the time no replacement bag put in so the can becomes disgusting. I visit once a week & usually take home 2 baskets of laundry with me. I have no number to call this place in off hours if my mom isn’t answering her phone and I’m worried. I left a positive review after they changed hands because I was asked to but have removed it. I have other issues and am looking into just moving her in with me. The people who work here are very nice and I appreciate that. She doesn’t need constant care and at least I could feed her and help her shower for much less than nearly $5,000 a month.

As a resident of the Magnolia at the Commons, the care provided here has exceeded my expectations, as well as those of my family. Much needed physical therapy was quickly provided in house’, as well as a daily exercise class which is excellent and provides appropriate seated exercise, range of motion exercises, and balance strengthening. There are numerous daily activities throughout the day, and a strong sense of community. The atmosphere here is very positive and upbeat. The food is excellent and balanced with a chef who takes pride in providing food which appeals to all residents. My family and I have been more than pleased with our choice for me to reside at the Magnolia. karen Winter

Just recently my mother suffered a fall as she entered the dining room. In the fall she broke her right arm and damaged her right orbital socket. Instantaneously, the nursing staff was at her side along with a resident who was knowledgeable in assessing injuries. It was as though these individuals had worked together previously. The nurse worked to control the bleeding and the skillful resident worked to reassure my mom that everything was going to be ok and to remain as still as she could. Upon returning from the hospital the management team met and worked with us to ensure that my mom had everything she needed. I am very confident that the staff at The Magnolia are very concerned about the residents and that they work to ensure that their needs are met.

Tha Magnolia at Oxford Commons is the best assisted living facility I has seen. I have had 3 family members in assisted living facilities and The Magnolia is by far the best. Food is great. Staff members are caring and always available to answer a question or help in any way they can. I would live here. You get 3 meals a day, your apartment cleaned weekly and your laundry done. Wonderful facility!

Our family’s experience with the staff at The Magnolia at Oxford Commons has exceeded our expectations. As we were researching both assisted living, in general, and facilities, specifically, the entire staff exhibited empathy, caring, patience, knowledge, and expertise. My mother who is very independent is very happy living at the Magnolia. When she moved in she was in a wheel chair with a broken vertebrae. The excellent physical therapy group now has her walking with very little assistance with a cane. Mom loves all the field trips and activities that are planned in and away from the Magnolia. Rebecca plans all the activities and does an outstanding job. She also takes the group to Kroger and Walmart when needed and stays with them the entire time inside the store. She is amazing. The Magnolia also takes her to her doctors appointments, hair appointments, etc. I live 7 hours away and it’s very difficult for me to be there for her. She brags on the very caring and attentive nursing staff. They dispense her medicine for her reorder prescriptions, etc. mom loves the dining service, she can sit down with her friends and order from a menu for all three meals which are excellent by the way. I have had a few meals there myself. She loves having her apartment cleaned every week and her bed changed too. Mom is thriving at the Magnolia and I am at peace that she is not living in her home alone. I highly recommend the Magnolia with the exceptional administration, nursing, etc. you will be very happy but mostly your aging parent will too.

The Magnolia at Oxford Commons is the perfect place for my mother. She is surrounded by new friends, an excellent staff, and endless opportunities to still live a full and independent life. From haircuts and movie nights to physical therapy and daily devotionals, the Magnolia is an example to communities across the U.S that there is always another place to call home. I am grateful to see my mother thriving and, most of all, safe and happy. See the below photo for the monthly flower arranging class. It is always a hit with the ladies!

We decided to move mom to The Magnolia from a different assisted living facility in town. We could not be more pleased with this community. From the day she moved in, she was welcomed by everyone. From the director to the patient assistants, everyone seems to be tuned in to the residents’ needs. The nursing staff is excellent, always going the extra mile to provide the best care possible. The activities planned both on and off campus are engaging and fun for everyone. When you know you’re leaving your vulnerable parent in the hands of others, you want to know in your heart they are being cared for in the best way possible. I get that feeling from everyone at The Magnolia.
