A Place For Mom
We've had somewhat of a mixed experience with Candet Assisted Living. In terms of the actual care provided I think they do an excellent job. The owner and the live-in caregiver do a great job taking care of the residents, and I appreciate that they try and avoid necessary medications. I also really like the food that they serve, it is high quality and appropriate for a senior diet. However, one of my biggest issues is that while the live-in caregiver is a nice person and very caring she does not speak enough English to be able to communicate with the residents well, which makes things difficult when the owner is out of the house. Some of the other residents also cause issues, there is a man who frequently shouts, and another with severe dementia issues, which makes my loved one uncomfortable at times.

The food at Candet Assisted Living is really good. They always have a variety of homemade meals every day. They are very attentive. It is like a family environment. Everybody is recognized there, and the staff is just exceptionally friendly. It has been a very positive experience and I would highly recommend Candet Assisted Living.
