We looked at several facilities when it came time to move mom. Commonwealth at East Paris is a beautiful community where you feel the warmth, care, and genuine compassion that the staff brings to residents every single day. The team goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and truly at home. Not only do they know the residents, but they also know the family members. The common areas are always clean and welcoming with different places to socialize with your family member. It is designed for a feeling of home and comfort which we truly appreciated. Activities are engaging and varied as they are tailored to the resident. The staff put on monthly family nights which bring a lot of laughter and always an entertaining theme. What stands out most is the kindness, compassion, and attentiveness of the staff. They take the time to get to know each resident as an individual, and it shows in the quality of care they provide. Communication with families is excellent as well”I always felt informed and reassured with how mom was doing. Unfortunately, our mom passed away, but knowing she was supported in her last months by people who genuinely cared provided quite a bit of peace of mind. When it came time, CSL worked with the in-home hospice care team. They ensured the coordination and extra level of care was provided during this stressful and emotional time. Katina and Jeniene went above and beyond to care for mom and ensure she was comfortable. They also checked on the family and how we were doing and what we may have needed while we visited and cared for her as well. Their level of support and compassion was outstanding, and we truly appreciated EVERYTHING that they did. It made a significant difference and provided us a certain level of peace when we knew they were on shift and helping mom. Our family highly recommends CSL @East Paris for families looking for a supportive, compassionate, entertaining, and well-run assisted living home.

We moved my mother-in-law to this community about a month and a half ago. She was resistant to the move, but relented once seeing the bright, clean room with a bay window and a view of the park-like grounds. The cleanliness and brightness of the entire facility was one of the major drawing points for us. Mike, the Sales Director, made the process of choosing this community incredibly easy. From pricing to room choices to facility function and resident engagements, he was thorough, informative, clear, and direct. We especially appreciated his friendly, relaxed, easy-going, low-pressure style which allowed us to feel confident throughout the decision making process. From her move-in day, care staff has been consistently kind, patient, and friendly to my MIL. Heather, the Health Director, has been extremely available and approachable with any needs, questions, or concerns we have had. I cannot say enough about what a delight she is to work with and what confidence she brings us with our loved one’s care. One of the other reasons we chose Commonwealth was the abundance of options for resident engagement activities. Unfortunately, my MIL has not chosen to participate yet, but it is not for lack of effort and strategizing on behalf of the staff. Heather, in particular, has reached out and befriended her with some sweet personal care and encouragement. We are hopeful that with a bit more time to adjust, a willingness to participate will come about. In all, I would wholeheartedly recommend Commonwealth to others looking for a loving, safe, and caring community for their family member. It is such a relief to know our loved one is well cared for and content in her new surroundings. .

Unfortunately we had a poor experience with the administration at this location. Due to unforeseen circumstances , hospitalization and SARS, my mom never lived here. Communication was not good as we attempted to get some funds back after writing a check for $16, 000. It took several calls and emails with sometimes no response. When told we would get a partial refund within a month it took calls to corporate a couple times to actually get a check mailed .I know we signed a paper saying we would not get a $4,000 community fee back which we were told was for apartment repairs when they moved out. It may be for other expenses but they never called back to tell us what it was used for. It seems like greed comes before compassion. The cost of rent is so high compared to the cost of care. It should be the other way around and the caregivers paid a lot more. Another example of taking advantage of the elderly. Experiences in two other locations was so much more efficient although still too expensive.

I can now confidently say it never did. From the moment she arrived until her very last day, the staff cared for her with compassion, dignity, and kindness. I simply cannot say enough good things about this wonderful Senior Living facility. Back in May of this year, my 85 year old stepmother moved into a very nice two-room apartment in their assisted living section. The staff and other residents were very welcoming. Commonwealth at East Paris was able to accomodate my stepmother's personal needs for assistance with moving around, getting dressed, bathing, etc. My stepmom had some unfortunate medical setbacks during her brief stay, which necessited a transition from assisted living to in-home hospice care. Commonwealth handled that transition expertly. I visited just about every day, so I was able to witness first-hand the care and compassion that my stepmother received. Of special note was the kindness and patience of these Commonwealth staff members: Maura, Monet, DeCarolyn, Janice, Deshanta and Zueidy. They ensured that my stepmother was comfortable and pain free right up to her unfortunate passing this past week. Commonwealth Executive Director Amy Simon and Sales Director Jeff Hether were quick to answer any questions that I had about the administrative side of things. As a former restaurant chef, I can also vouch for the high quality of the meals that were prepared in-house. In summary, I would wholeheartedly recommend Commonwealth Senior Living at East Paris to anyone.

I recently began the difficult task of choosing the right assisted living (memory care) community for my father. I visited a number of nice care communities, but when I visited Commonwealth Senior Living East Paris, I knew almost immediately that I had found a place my dad could truly call his home. The setting is beautiful; I frequently see deer in the wooded areas on the grounds. The interiors are great, with tons of natural sunlight, and my father's room is just perfect for him. The process of placing a loved one in a care community can seem SO overwhelming, but everyone at Commonwealth East Paris is so helpful and kind; Jeff, Amy, Deb, Katie and everyone else that so generously assisted me with this daunting process made it so much easier and so much less stressful. All of the staff members at Commonwealth East Paris are absolutely fantastic; they are what truly makes Commonwealth East Paris such a great community. My dad's care team is fantastic; Alexa is always so patient and kind and Myron, Nakia, and Momo are extremely friendly and just great. Really, everyone who provides my father with care is excellent.. They are all very patient and helpful to my father and I am so relieved knowing that he is well cared for, and treated kindly. For anyone looking for a great assisted living or memory care community for a loved one or friend, give Commonwealth East Paris your top consideration. It is a wonderful place to call home.
