We met Jennifer Dorsey, Director of Sales. She was warm and genuinely concerned to find the right fit for our mom. We had researched extensively all assisted living options in the Rockville, Bethesda area. By far, Brighton offers much more for the reasonable price. Jennifer has worked with us over the weekend to orchestrate mom’s move from a rehabilitation hospital to Brighton. The front desk staff is friendly but extremely careful of managing guests regarding Covid screen. As nurse, I am impressed with their protocols. Our family is relieved to place mom in Brighton’s care...

The staff are warm and welcoming and provided us with all the information we needed. The facility is clean, well maintained and bright. The residents suites are sizable, comfortable and safe. There are many comfortable areas for private or community gatherings. The grounds are well maintained. Mom is moving in soon!

Brighton Gardens of Tuckerman Lane was by far the best skilled nursing facility our father was in over the past two years. The nursing staff and house Doctor there were very compassionate, professional, and friendly. The building is bright, and warm, making it feel very homey. From the minute you walk in the Reception Joys smiling face makes you feel welcome. The nursing staff seemed very committed to the patients so we never had to worry about our father when we werent there.

Our first impression was very positive--a clean, comfortable facility that appears to run smoothly at first glance. Studio and one bedroom apartments are a little smaller than would be ideal, but the pricing makes this place more affordable than many. Overall, we had a good experience and would definitely consider BG for my dad.

My mother has been a resident for three years. The kindness of the staff from the top down is remarkable. I visit the times a week and see all shifts in action. Just today a receptionist took my mother on a walk during her personal break. Thanks to all of you at Brighton Gardens of Tuckerman Lane.

My parents moved to Brighton Gardens last summer. My Father recently passed and the entire staff went out of their way to help the entire family past the tragedy. They all offered condolences to my Mother and keep a close eye on her. Mohammed, Evans and Fatou were outstanding on the day he passed with their care and attention.

Superb, outstanding care for your love ones. I’ve had more than one family member at Brighton Gardens for 12 years now. I’ve also experienced many changes over the years. What never changes is their consistent loving care. I’ve come to know nearly everyone who works there and they are like the gears of a well designed machine. Teamwork! It’s a difficult situation a family finds themselves in, finding an Assisted living center to fit their needs. Brighton Garden does everything they can to accommodate all the family members, not only the residents. Walk through the door, feel the love, it’s literally palatable. Last spring when my wife Claire was brought to Brighton Gardens she was a shocking sight. She sat slumped over in her wheelchair and her glance passed over me and our daughter Sabrina without recognizing us, She was totally unresponsive, cataleptic. She was diagnosed with dementia, diabetes, last-stage kidney disease, Parkinson’s, asthma, macular degeneration, and paralysis of the lower extremities. Now six months later Claire has changed so much. She recognizes me, Sabrina, her grandson, and our friends. She calls us by our names. Like when I ask her if she knows who I am, she answers, Of course. You’re Gene. She smiles a lot and always is happy to see us. Formerly silent, she now chatters a lot with us, even if much of what she says does not always make sense. What has brought this transformation? It did not occur overnight. It took six months as I can testify. I and Sabrina have been visiting Claire several times a week for the last six months and have been observing Claire and seeing her improve little by little, all the time. I can say confidently that this improvement did not occur of itself but thanks to the care and professionalism of the Brighton Gardens staff. I want to particularly commend Nurses Finda, Maud, Keirl, Gertrude and Augustin as well as Abdul the Pill Dispenser and all the other friendly and obliging staff on the Fifth Floor. I shall never forget one scene I witnessed: a nurse painting the fingernails of an elderly resident: this is emblematic of the personalized care provided by the staff of Brighton Gardens. It is thanks to the dedication and empathetic professional care of these people that the progress of Claire’s illnesses has been stopped or even reversed. I’m deeply grateful to them, as is Sabrina. This has lifted a great burden off my shoulders and off those of Sabrina. Claire is comfortable and her wellbeing is good at Brighton Gardens. I want to also acknowledge the warm welcome extended to Claire by Lisa Himes, Controller at Brighton Gardens, and the greatly valued advice she gave me and Sabrina on the best possible financial terms for extending Claire’s stay at Brighton Gardens. What more can I expect. Or dare I hope for more, like a recovery from Claire’s condition? Eugene Bergman

My sister has been in the care of Brighton Gardens for a year now and the quality of care, professionalism and simple kindness is above and beyond the two other assisted living facilities she had lived in before. The staff is caring, attentive and there is just a very positive energy in this community - you feel it the second you walk in the door. Again, between my mother and my sisters residences in assisted living over the last two decades this sweet gem really stands out. It has a cozy feeling but they are on top of each and every residents needs and situation. I cant recommend it highly enough.

The staff has gone out of its way to help us get our relative into the facility as soon as possible - even though this meant going to another facility a distance away to do the evaluation needed. I am so impressed!

The place is great. Staff is very atttntive and responsive. There are lots of activities. The price is reasonable compared to similar places we looked at. My mom has been there 4 months and I visit most days. Have not seen any problems whatsoever. Very glad we chose this location for her. I don’t think we could have done any better.

They have worked hard since June training staff and turning over those who were not very empathetic or good at being patient with elderly. Very nice people, clean facility, excellent OT and PT staff. A new GM has been hired and Sunrise has made Brighton Gardens a top turnaround priority, especially considering a brand new Sunrise is being built a mile away in bethesda. The location off the trail as well as access to stores is very nice, small building makes it feel more homely. They are very friendly and accepting of guests and the food is actually very very good. I have been living here since June and experienced the progress and turnarund.
