Caring
Bowie Assisted Living, Inc. had a lot of character. People were up and about. Some were in their rooms, some were getting their nails done, some were playing games, and some were watching TV. The owner came in when I was there and he was very knowledgeable. He and his wife own the place. He took us to a full tour of the facility that holds about 15 residents. The rooms were clean and most of them were a single room.

A Place For Mom
The staff there are loving, caring, and completely committed to providing excellent care in every possible way. They want to make sure families are made aware of everything, and also feel that sense of love and care. Our loved one was kept happy, everyone top to bottom was amazing. The community is impeccable and they get 5 stars all around, we were very impressed.

Bowie is the best. My mother's personality has totally changed for the better since being there. The food is excellent too. It is all hand cooking right there in their kitchen. My mother's room is always very clean. Bowie Assisted Living is for the more dependent residents and not for someone who is looking for a lot of activities. This is more about a place that is very comfortable. They have enough activities for the type of residents they have. It is not for the active person, but the care is excellent. It is very loving and nurturing. The staff members are very attentive.

We have my husband in Bowie Assisted Living since July 1st. It’s very small -- they only have 11 patients -- so they get individual care. The staff is very nice and pleasant. They fix all the food from scratch, so it’s all lovely, and the rooms are very bright and cheerful.

I think Bowie Assisted Living is lovely. The woman who owns the place is very nice. They provide really excellent care, but I felt it was too much like a nursing home for what my sister would need.
