What a wonderful place!! The moment you step inside the door you are directed to a table with a sign-in guest sheet with hand sanitizer for your convenience. Once you answer the questions and sign in, you ring a doorbell where someone, (usually Charlotte) quickly greets you with a welcoming smile and then takes your temperature. The next thing you notice is the home feeling of the visiting area with the couches, lamps and large tv. It smells amazing too. The entire staff of housekeeping (especially Vickie), Nursing staff, CNA's, Medication Nurse, Tonya and her staff, and Eric etc are caring for the residents the entire day (and night), as well as taking a few minutes to have light hearted conversations with residents and other staff in other departments resulting in laughter filling the dining room and kitchen. It's like family and everybody pitches in wherever needed to do everything they can for each resident there. The residents start at the nursing station and then file into the large dining room and there is a large table for each group and they enjoy a meal with their friends. The food is amazing, from tender roast, chicken cordon blue to homemade chicken noodle soup, homemade cookies, muffins and cherry cheesecake and spinich-strawberry salads. The apartments are spacious and have lots of light with outdoor scenery to enjoy through the sliding glass doors. There are beautiful ponderosa pine growing all around the property where it's true that you can hear them whisper in the gentle breeze. It's as if you are in your own private community far from the worries and traffic of everyday life. If I ever needed to move into an assisted living center, I would feel very comfortable making Whispering Pines my choice. These people truly care for the residents there and they do this with happy hearts and genuine love. Bob and Charlotte serve the community and staff like extended family and I'm sure that the way they serve those around them, definitely pleases the LORD and brings glory to the Kingdom of GOD. Wonderful place. Wonderfully run. They will love your relatives like you do. Can"t say enough about the people that care for your loved one. Her name is Dory. I live out of state from my family. She kept me up to date on everything .
