My husband passed away at 5:30 am on June 1st. The directors assistant told corporate to not pull any money out of my account for the month of June since my husband had already passed. Corporate took the 2500.00 out of my account anyway and to this date July 11, they still have not returned my 2500.00.This friday oakview terrace will be in breach of contract so it appears I will have to sue them. The good news is Florida law states and is very clear that they will then owe me my 2500.00 plus 3 times the amount owed me in punitive damages.Florida frowns on senior citizens getting screwed and boy they certainly put me through hell.45 days is up on 7/15.

Friendly & caring environment, a good choice for Memory Care. When I was searching for a Memory Care facility for my mom, my top priority was for a knowledgeable and caring staff, this was to be her home. It didn't need to have top of the line Décor, she as well as our family felt welcome and comfortable. I was blessed to have mom here.I cannot say enough about the staff here. Yes, over time staff changes occur, but the transition was always easy and each AID well chosen to build bonds with each resident. Snacks and activities are planned on a daily/monthly calendar, with good meals that are much better than most hospitals/Rehabs.Thanks you Oakview.

I am a caregiver for a dear friend. I had a pacemaker put in and was in the hospital for a few days. My friend had to go to a home for a few days until I got out. Upon calling her, she said she could leave at any time where upon I told her to get ready. When I got there she was not ready, and the most irritating thing was the receptionist. She was quite rude and would not answer any questions. I called the Sheriff's department and they dispatched and officer to the home. Quest what, I finally got her meds after waiting two more hours. It may be a nice place to go to but they need to do something about that receptionist attitude. P.S. She finally came out after one hour and had to wait two more hours in the car for her meds when the night time medtech came in.

Spent a week, 6 or 7 phone calls and messages, trying to locate my cousin who was a resident there. Our side of the family hadn't been informed that she had died and I was seeking confirmation and information. To this day, not one single call returned! Are they hiding something? Addendum to my review: While trying to review them on Caring.com, they denied my cousin ever lived there, then after I sent proof they said since it wasn't the exact month she died they denied she lived there at the time of her death. Meanwhile, they let her church members into her unit to remove everything and even tried to bill her accounts one month after her death. Still, never returned a single phone call.

Appreciate the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Everyone is helpful and works to assist residents. Food is good with choices, activities are great, especially the outings to Hard Rock!

My father was a resident for a year in the memory care unit at Oakview. Staff is caring. A bit too open regarding privacy on part of nursing staff so need to revisi HIPPA with them. Food is good. At times understaffed but people there have been good to Dad. New management came in last couple of months. I didnt notice many changes though. Some employee turnover since then. Dad was in a different facility which was not as attentive prior to move to Oakview. Good service at medium cost level. Rooms nice and bright.

Last review is the joke. Drug use??underpaid??sounds like disgruntled Employee..... My mother`s well taken care of ... for last few years....food is good w/choices. My uncle and aunt have lived there for over two years. They feel very safe there and love the staff. The staff is very good to them. Any issues I have brought up have been addressed. On the negative side they need more staff(the staff they have works very hard)). I wish they could influence more NPs and or Meds to come on the staff so there would be more of a selection to chose from.

Oakview Terrace is a very nice place. I went there for a tour. They have very nice rooms, and you can choose from private to semi-private rooms. You can also bring your own furniture, or you can use what they have. It looked very clean and open. The people are very nice.

My mother is already in Oakview Terrace. She has a very nice room. She really likes it. It is a good size room. My mom is on a pureed diet, but the food is OK. The staff is very nice. They are very cordial and helpful. They are attentive to the patients, and most of them are friendly enough. There is one I don't really like, she is not really friendly. The facility is clean. I like it; however, it is not really that social. They do have a lot of social activities going on; however, there are a lot of people like my mom, who is not doing well, so she can't really do activities.

Oakview Terrace was where my best friend's father had been. Everything there is really nice. It's a small place so mom in law wasn't overwhelmed by the size. The staff is very caring, it's very clean and the rooms are big. I liked that it's very well kept and the staff is very good. They have activities for the residents every day. The food is good and they have choices at every meal. Mom in law wasn't happy when she moved in because she has dementia but now after a month and a half she's very happy.

Oakview terrace is a very nice facility. I didn't know that assisted living facilities could be so nice. usually I would think of them as grey and boring but everyone who works there is really nice and provides many accommodations for my grandma and my family. The rooms are kept very clean and everything is super sanitary. It never smells and there are never any signs of pest problems. The facility has a large tv room so that is usually where we hang out when we visit my grandma. They also have a lot of daily activities so that my grandma is never bored. She has made many friends there and i think we made a great choice with choosing Oakview terrace.

We had a chance to visit Oakview Terrace together with my aunt. It was a wonderful community. The people are all smilling. They have a home-like environment. The staff are really accomodating and they really want to help you with anything you asked. When we visit the place the residents are having bingo and I think it's one of those activities that the residents are happy about. I would recommend Oakview Terrace to others.

My grandma loves it at Oakview Terrace. The staff are so nice and they really thrive to make their residents' stays as comfortable and home-like as possible. She constantly has things to keep herself entertained with there and is in good spirits whenever I visit. I've come into contact with many ALFs with quite a few of my older family members and this place is one of my favorites. Not to mention that my grandmother actually seems happier than ever since staying here for the past few years. So glad to have had the pleasure of dealing with this company. There is also a hospital within two miles of this facility so we never have to worry about whether or not our loved one will be taken care of. Falls rarely happen, if ever, because the nurses are constantly on guard for any safety issues. Medications are always administered to my gramma on time and the furniture/living quarters are up to date. All in all this is a great place and I wish other facilities that I've come across would be more like it.

Oakview Terrace is a ALF that caters to about 135 residents. When pulling up to the building it appears to be neat with some manicure areas and landscape. Once I entered the building staff seemed plentiful. It was just after supper. My journey to Oakview Terrace was to visit a woman that I had known for years, and as I wondered around on my attempt to find her, I was surprised that no one asked if they could assist me. The facility itself was up to date and very clean. It had a very fresh small and was very well lighted. The woman that I visited said that she loved it here . The food was great and the staff treated her excellent, Within a weeks time she had formed friendships with the staff and already had a favorite. While I was visiting, there was a woman that was disinfecting common areas, that was great. There was seasonal décor and a posting of activities. Family members strolled throughout the facility which gave me a great relief. Any place that encourages families to maintain their relationships in a comfortable environment appeals to me. From what I saw this place was ran efficiently.
