Professionally, I am a representative for a home health and hospice company in the area. I visit assisted living facilities all day five days a week so I have seen them all. Sunrise is one of my favorites and as my family discusses care for my grandfather, Sunrise is at the top of my list of facilities to consider. I love the location, well kept grounds and clean airy feeling inside the facility. I’m very impressed by the activities offered from church services to music to fitness, they seem to offer it all. I’m lucky to work with some of the team at Sunrise and I love how much they seem to know and care anbout each individual resident. If I needed assisted living, this is where I’d want to be.

Moving our father into skilled nursing was a difficult decision and although we did our homework, we had to act quickly. Sunrise Senior Care in Walnut Creek has been incredible, not only did they make the transition hospital to their facility easy for our family, they were flexible, responsive, compassionate and went over and beyond work with medical staff and venders to ensure our father had everything he needed. We have been SO impressed with the entire staff who are friendly, knowledgeable, and very loving… We made the right choice!

I finally have the time to give Sunrise the review that is way over due. My father was at Sunrise and I will tell you the staff was amazing. The care that my father received at Sunrise was incredible. Before he passed away the staff went way beyond their call of duty for my dad. I can’t tell you how wonderful they made his stay at sunrise. Not once did I worry about my dads care. They treated him so great. I lived close by and would visit my dad as much as I could. When I had surgery and couldn’t get to see my dad for several weeks and my dad shared with me that he was in great hands and the staff was so kind to him. My dad enjoyed the staff and so did we. Thanks Sunrise for all you did for my father when he was there. You always made sure that he got the care that he deserved and it to this day was so appreciated. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a good place for your loved one to be cared for in a kind and caring manner. Sunrise did that daily for my father when he was there. They always dressed and kept my father clean and he was fed well. Before I had my father live at Sunrise I asked around others that were there or had family members residing at Sunrise and it was always a positive answer when I asked how they liked it.

Trish was extremely professional, understanding, competent in our first meeting, which, I believe to be a critical and unique situation. I will add that she was caring, and, dare I say, even loving. The residents are the most important people to Trish and the management, by my personal observation. This place is full of HEART and SOUL...and those are not just words to me and our family. What impressed me the most about our tour through the memory section is how she greeted each resident by his-her first name, and no matter how important or trivial her-his need(s) came first! Great training and the best marketing possible: SINCERITY blended with UNDERSTANDING, COMPETENCE, and most important of all, COMPASSION! She was very tolerant in helping me take photos of the room reserved for my father. We are not in yet—-we have Sunrises independent assessment later this week, but (considering his present condition), there is no perfect place for my dad. Sunrise is as close to perfect as it gets, under some very difficult circumstances. Working with the family in a very efficient manner, and providing us with any information we needed in a very short time frame was just awesome! We should close the business part of the transactin later this week. So far, I could not ask for more. Trish, and the rest of the staff whom I encountered, it is clear that you really love and care for each resident. And that is something REALLY SPECIAL AND IMPORTANT TO OUR FAMILY. So far I could not ask for more. I feel confident that we have selected THE RIGHT PLACE FOR DAD! Thank you Trish! Thank you Sunrise!

First impressions matter and from reception to management to administration to kitchen staff and most importantly to care givers, Sunrise of Walnut Creek is my first choice in Contra Costa County. My mom refers to her care givers as her Angels ??. The Angels administer the meds, no simple task, and do a FANTASTIC job without any error in two years. Everyone is friendly, kind, professional and accessible. I toured half a dozen assisted living homes before selecting Sunrise so I urge you to put it on your list. G. Betta

At the time we toured this community they didn't offer 1 bedroom apartments and I felt that was going to be a better option for my mom. The staff was very nice and helpful. However at one of the other communities they had offered a program that helped people out on the pricing if they were on a limited income and this community didn't offer that.

The care at this community is very nice. We like the staff and consider them to be very attentive to my father's needs. The menu is outstanding and I like knowing that they are offering him a lot of activities that he does enjoy. The environment has been very good for my father and I have recommended a lot of friends to this community due to the good care and value

My 5 star rating says it all. This is a wonderful facility. My dad is in memory care, and what I've seen is that the caregivers treat my dad the same way I do. Furthermore, the caregivers engage residents as well as provide group activities in a manner that is respectful and fun. I love this place for my dad. I can think of no other facility in this area that could have been as good a fit for my dad than Sunrise.
