I have worked for Home Care Assistance for 3 years now, from day one it has been the right choice for me. Not only are the other coworkers nice, but they really care about what they do, and they care for making a difference in how the elderly age. The in office management team is wonderful, they really work with your schedule and make sure you are on the right kind of case that fits your personality. Even talking to the HR department for the overall company has been, a great experience. They do all they can to help. If I were to need care for a friend or loved one, there is no hesitation HCA is who I would recommend.

Over the last two years my health has declined significantly. At one point I couldnt even get out of bed, my daughter was living with me and doing her best to take care of me but it just wasnt working. She reached out to her friends and they told her about Home Care Assistance. One of the client care managers came out and did an assessment and the next day I was able to meet a very sweet and lovely caregiver that fit my needs. She encouraged me to go out and go for walks. Today her and I are still together and I am doing much better. I am active in the community and this is mainly thanks to Home Care Assistance. Thank you for all you do!

Two months ago I unexpectedly ended up in the hospital and could no longer drive. My granddaughter found Home Care Assistance for me and found a very sweet young man to help me go run errands around town. He has been coming 3 days a week and I couldnt be more happy. The caregiver assisted her with daily hygiene, made her bed, prepared meals and did some food shopping, light cleaning and laundry. About 3 weeks after I started my mom got in a severe car accident and I had to leave town suddenly to go see her before she passed away. I have been a caregiver for about 20 years. I have worked for a number of agencies in northern Ca and southern CA as well. My experience also spans being a family members with care needs. I have worked in facilities and private care. I have to say that I have completely enjoyed my experience as a caregiver for HCA Santa Barbara. They have always taken good care of me, and all the important aspects of legalities, like my background checks, California state registry and ongoing training. They take great care of scheduling for me and our clients, allowing me to do what Im good at, taking care of people in need and coming alongside families during crisis and long term care situations. I have enjoyed the always knowing who Im working with when I need office support. I would say that they are above normal standards, with that wonderful local Santa Barbara flair.
