I have been a resident at the Carlotta for 5 1/2 years and haven’t regretted it for a moment. My initial reasons for coming were security and transportation, but found so much more. I love my apartment, view of the courtyard , enjoy the friendly residents and have made many friends. I really like the fact that I can walk around the halls for exercise when it’s cold, hot, or windy outside or for going to activities or to the dining room. The food is very good with a variety of items. They decorate the dining room for holidays and special occasions and currently have a fun event called Lunch Around the World. Each month our chef prepares a wonderful meal from a different country. I enjoy the many events - entertainers, magicians, comedians, pianists, singers, etc. I enjoy the monthly excursions to different restaurants for lunch or dinner, exercise classes, card games, book club so many activities it’s hard to mention them all. Best of all our new management team is great.

My recent tour was a pleasant experience. Mia was through with information and she was able answer all of my questions. The Independent Living section fits all of my needs in the future. The Casidos and apartments are spacious and bright(light in my home is very important). I like the idea of having a washer and dryer in the units. The grounds an open space around the units really give the feel of home. I enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal in the bright cheery dining hall. I enjoyed meeting several residents and I felt so welcomed. Mia is a lovely tour guide. I never felt rushed or pressured. Thank you all for making my birthday special. JoAnn Gagnet

I recently toured this skilled nursing facility and assisted my client with the admission process, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. From the very beginning, the staff was welcoming, compassionate, and incredibly professional. They took the time to answer our questions, explain every step of the process, and ensure that my client felt comfortable and supported during a major life transition. What stood out the most was the dedication of the team. We encountered several unexpected delays due to issues with the doctor's office and required paperwork, which caused our move-in date and timing to be pushed back. Despite these challenges, the facility staff went above and beyond to help us. They worked after hours and even on their days off to ensure everything came together smoothly and that my client could transition into the facility successfully. Their commitment, patience, and willingness to help during a stressful situation made all the difference. It is rare to find a team that genuinely cares so much about the people they serve. The facility was clean, organized, and welcoming, but it was the staff's kindness and dedication that truly made this experience exceptional. Thank you for going the extra mile and making what could have been a difficult and overwhelming process feel manageable and positive. Your hard work and compassion did not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful.

My family and I visited The Carlotta two days before Christmas and were served a delicious breakfast and given a very informative tour. We were able to go back the next day for a second tour and learn more details about three apartments which really interested us. Since I was flying back home on the day after Christmas, they were willing to work with my son so that I could rent the casita I wanted. All this was done very quickly. The Carlotta offers the physical and mental activities seniors want, the entertainment that we want and the socializing that we want. I currently live in a similar facility in Florida and feel I will be just as happy when I move to California.

My experience with The Carlotta Assisted Living for my Spouse has been very positive. This community not only cares for the residence. They also care for family members. Who’s Taking Care of the Care Giver in my opinion is part of Carlotta philosophy. Frank Cervantes as well as other directors, made the transition of my spouse into The Carlotta a smooth transition. The team members in assisted living are very pleasant and informative. My spouses echos my thoughts. Today he told me staff are very patient and nice to me.

I had one heck of an experiences at the Carlotta in Palm Desert with Frank, one the best Rental managers that I Ever ran across. He was extremely friendly, patient and helpful he was enthusiastic and proud to show off all the amenities of the property . I’m definitely not impressed with the springs at Carlotta. My grandma is there currently and I’m disappointed on how this place is ran. No one returns my call, I have reached out to Lilly many times and not gotten a call back. Several things have been needing attention and I can’t get in touch . A lot of people work there but no one can seem to really give guidance or answers! The cna (possibly Veronica) is extremely rude. They ignored my grandma on many occasions I’ve witnessed it. They get easily annoyed .my Grandmother asked for specific ice cream, they brought her something else, my grandma requested what she asked for and she completely ignored hero spoke up and she ignored me too. Disrespectful. Anastasia is one of the few who listens and communicates with you, but even when she forwards your concerns no one gets back to you. This place is very unorganized. My grandma gas needed a hand soap refill in her bathroom since got there and they don’t refill it, they gave small toilets and if you need a commode you have to beg for it it get pt to write a order for it! Crazy. The food is not the greatest and if u ask for something different they give attitudes. I have seen it all. They do try to get you out of the room for dining which is nice, and have many activities. One of the pts Vicky is such a sweetheart. I will say. They do keep the place clean. But be sure your stuff is labeled cause you don’t get it back or they’ll misplace it. My grandma has had several things gone from her room. Her container of chocolates, her brand new eye drop pack, moisturizer.. random things gone. If your loved one needs to go to the drs you have to arrange it yourself and take them! Ridiculous. In comparison to bay shore in Rancho mirage and the springs. I’d recommend there.

If I could create a title for this review it would beResidents Will Find a Lotta At The Carlotta. From the moment I walked in with my mother, I was in awe of the gorgeous lobby, cleaned to perfection, adorned with beautiful fresh flowers and a surprising welcoming sign on a table in the foyer, personalized with my name (such an amazing and thoughtful touch)! Marketing director, Joe took us on an unforgettable tour after taking a considerable amount of time getting acquainted with my elderly mom. He was also very accommodating, giving us ice cold Fuji Bottled water to help quench our thirst from the triple-digit heat. My mom admired the gift box with the blue ribbon, which happened to be enormously-sized cookies ’she asked and she received’. We were told that residents can look forward to feasting on a variety of delicious food and cookies! Future residents can expect a spectacular tour of the amenities: the amazing restaurant /dining room and a view of the three-course menu; there was an adorable table decorated in celebration of a resident’s 98th birthday! We met friendly residents walking by, one stating how amazing it is to live at The Carlotta as well as another resident walking getting her steps in, with Joe proudly noted that she was 96 Years Young!! Our tour ended with looking at a studio apartment. The studio was nothing short of amazing and spacious; I can’t imagine how the one bedroom apartments and the casitas look at The Carlotta. The tour left me feeling as though I wish I had the opportunity to live at The Carlotta myself; but due to my age, I have another twenty years! If you are 65 years or older or have a loved one interested in independent or assisted living; don’t hesitate to call and schedule an amazing tour today-you won’t be disappointed!

The residents I talked to while touring around this facility were genuinely happy living there. I thought the 18-hole putting green 'golf course' was a fun feature. I also liked that the restaurant serves freshly prepared vegetables which is very important to me for good nutrition.

Making the decision to move (for what I consider to be the last move of my life) into a retirement community, became an obsession for me to think about what type of people and what opportunities I wanted for myself during my last chapter. I wanted specific things for the present; and had to be realistic about what could be needed in the future. I developed my checklist of needs vs wants. I visited several potential places. Some were out of the area and some were in the Coachella Valley. I was not prepared to find a home where most of my needs AND wants were each available. I have found Ivy Signature Living has elevated the Carlotta to a level comparable to other higher end Retirement Communities. What is offered? INDEPENDENT apartments designed for safety and convenience for an aging population. They all have a full kitchen for those that like to cook. CASUAL MORNING AN NOON MEALS at the Cafe. All prepared fresh. DINING ROOM FOR DINNERS. The Director of Culinary and Chef are open to hear our suggestions and input. The food quality and tastes exceed what I had expected for a retirement environment. A TEAM APPROACH to meet residents needs. Everyone from the culinary staff to the maintenance staff, treats us like family and offers us a friendly hello and any help needed everyday.. Dedication and professionalism prevail from the Director down to Gardeners and every department in between. I was not expecting this at all. ASSISTED LIVING is offered whether it is in your own apartment or in the specialized area of assistance if more is needed. WELLNESS CENTER consists of medical/ancillarys services and someone is available 24/7. ACTIVITIES that include all levels of skill along with varied interests.There is something listed every hour on every day for us to participate in (or not). Several times a month we are offered opportunities to attend group outings with transportation provided. My adult children are relieved to know I am safe and cared for at any level I require even in my apartment and future years with assistance if needed. They know I am having fun because suddenly, I am the one too busy to talk on the phone, not the other way around. Just as important to me was wondering what the other residents would be like. I was literally bowled over by the openly friendly and positive people I encountered upon move in, and still do. There is a wide range of personalities, ages and life experiences that all make for a wonderful thriving environment. I have not regretted my decision to move here at all. I truly feel that the quality of my life has been enhanced since I moved into the last home I'll ever need. Drop in, or call them and set up a tour. It might work out for you as well as it has for me.

Our Mother has been a resident here for the last 12 years. Recently she fell and had to move from her independent living apartment to receive care in the skilled nursing section of Carlotta. She loved her community here! They show genuine care for their residents and guests. Even through covid, they were careful and compassionate about being able to see our loved ones. I could list probably 15-20 names of exemplary managers and staff who not only did their jobs well, but cared for our Mom and became her friends. Dora at the hair salon. Charles, the kindest gentleman CNA. Manny, always smiling and offering help in any area of maintenance. Donna and Lisa, who can juggle more tasks at one time than anyone. Mom passed away last week in Skilled nursing. While she didn’t stay in Skilled Nursing for very long, the care she received was excellent. The team of nurses and CNA’s and therapists is competent and professional. We are very grateful for these years and this place.

For my 97 year old father, this place is a blessing, at least, so far. He went into the skilled nursing after a serious 911 call that left him very weak. They did a great job bringing him back to life, and he grew very fond of the staff. We moved him next door into the Assisted living side, and so far, he is happy and being well cared for. My Dad has been in two other places he did not like, so I hope this one works for him long term..

Skilled nursing is a fraud. Assistants are too busy chatting to respond to calls, either to rooms, or in the dinning area. A Dr here claimed to have seen a 90+ man with pneumonia, as required by law upon arrival, but did not, he was apparently out of town. And no antibiotics or medication but they wanted to keep him longer, to collects his fees I'm sure. Oh, and no water.
