I have worked in the senior industry for the past 14 years, in both Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living/Memory Care. I was hired at Pacifica Senior Living Northridge December 2018 as the Marketing Director. I have known this community for 13 years. My aunt lived her for 2.5 and had great care and quality of life. Within my first week working at Pacifica Northridge I learned so much more about this community than I saw coming to visit my aunt The specialty here is understanding cognitive decline and that is what makes this community so unique. My joy is to connect with families and become their partner in making difficult decisions about providing quality of life to their loved ones.

Two and a half years ago my mom moved into assisted living. Pacifica Senior Living Northridge was my first tour during my search for assisted living facilities. I'm so glad my mom is surrounded by residents and care givers at Pacifica Northridge who enrich her social and psychological wellbeing. My appreciation for the care givers continues.

We checked out several different places for my father, but we eventually decided to go with Pacifica. It seemed like the best option and it turned out to be true. The quality of care from everyone working at Pacifica was wonderful. The staff were all helpful to both my father and anyone who was visiting. They seemed to really know what they were doing and always were on top of everything going on. I always was able to know what was going on and I am really happy with my experience with Pacifica.

When with my friend to visit her mom at Pacifica Northridge. The welcome when we arrived was so warm. The lobby was lively with happy seniors and good music. My friends family is so pleased with the care and life their mom is getting. I will refer this place to others.

The thought of having to place my husband in a memory care facility was more painful than I could imagine. I must have looked at over 20 placements. When I walked into Somerford It immediately felt right. My husband has been treated with respect, the caregiving staff is amazingly patient and tender. It gave me peace of mind to know his needs were being attended to and everyone was lovingly prepared to help him when he struggled. Special thank you to Lisa Villasenor who walks with you through this unchartered journey always compassionate with relentless understanding for the caregiver's emotional stress. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you've done to make an unbearable situation so much more tolerable.

I was on the east coast when we had to move my godmother to Pacifica from another community. Everyone was on-board to make the easiest transition possible, even referring and helping to coordinate the move/movers. They're always accommodating, patient and easy to reach. It was a long road and they made us feel safe in our choices. Top Notch Care and the BEST Staff, from the top down, hands down!

My family and I just move my parents into Pacifica Senior living care In Northridge. The move-in was very easy and everybody was helpful. Both my parents have dementia and the care they are receiving has been very amazing. The staff is attentive and making sure my parent are safe.

How do I start with how thankful I am that Somerford Place is My Moms new home. My sisters and I were faced with many obstacles on placing my Mom who was diagnosed with dementia living alone in another state with no one to help her. As I write this with tears in my eyes thinking of how she is even safe and being cared for now is a miracle. Fran is the first person that I spoke with at Somerford place. She went above and beyond for my Mom and our family I could go on and on with the Gratitude I for Fran with out her I don't know what would of happened to my Mom. The world needs more Fran's 🙂 she is a amazing caring and compassionate person. Lisa went above and beyond to help walk us through so much and cares about all the details that are important when you are entrusting your loved one is someone else's care. I have had nothing but wonderful experience's with the staff at Somerford Place. My Mom is safe, happy and cared for.

Placing my mom in Somerford Place was the best decision for her and myself. Her needs are met 24/7 with kindness, caring, compassion and comfort from the amazing staff. Each and every one of the staff members there treat my mom as if she was theirs. They know exactly what she likes and how she likes it. She is very happy there. I do not have to worry at all. I have lived here for over a year, and still loving it. Doing more activities, not too good at crafts, but they all help me. Decorations are adorable. Food menu has changed for the better. Staff listens to me and promptly takes my suggestions and change the very next day. Activity staff is great. All the caregivers take excellent care of me. Had dental surgery and the kitchen prepared a soft food diet for me. The residents are very friendly and I have made many friends. I would highly recommend Somerford Place of Northridge.

My mom (Helen Meisel) has been living at Somerford Northridge (formerly Pacifica Senior Living) for almost a year. It was a challenging transition from her private home of 40 years to this community but, feeling of comfort, caring and friendliness was immediately felt by my mom, as well as family members. The caregivers are the best! They anticipate needs and take a pro-active approach to each member of the community. So glad we made this move to a safe and loving environment. Every day is a new and better experience.

I actually enjoy visiting my wife at Somerford Place of Northridge. The staff treats me like family and they take excellent care of my wife. Without fail, she is smiling and singing along or enjoying the activities when I visit. They really take care to balance autonomy and supportive care. I see others being treated with only respect and concern. I also like that I know I can speak up and be heard. Cheers to everyone at Somerford...and Thank You to the caretakers and admin staff.

You never think or plan for the day you have to choose a place for your loved ones. But when that day comes it is so overwhelming. Making the choice is so hard. Somerford place has been the best choice we as children made for our mother. The transition was so easy due to the unbelievable staff. They really care. That's so hard to find. We have all become family now. The facility radiates warmness and caring. It's clean and the food is fantastic. We could have ended up in the wrong place, but thank God we were guided here. Thank you for taking care of our mom the way we would.

My 88 year old mother and brother, who has a complex brain injury, moved into Pacifica Senior Living Northridge last month. In the short time they have resided at Pacifica Senior Living they have both improved and are happier than I've seen them in ages and ages. From the top administration to the food servers and caregivers, and the entire staff, we have all been welcomed and treated as family. The community environment is caring, loving, and supportive in all areas. I am sleeping much better now that I know my Mother and brother in such a healthy, clean, welcoming, professional and supportive home!

I moved my aunt about 6 years ago to Pacifica Senior living Northridge, and I was very impressed with the care she received from day one. All the staff at this facility were compassionate, patient to her needs and very caring. They communicate to family any issues that may come up right away, and always listen to individual concerns. My aunt was always clean, well fed, and assisted with all of her daily needs. The facility itself is clean, and the staff is very well trained with lots of experience. It's amazing how well they do this difficult job of keeping dementia patients active and entertained and always making them feel at home. I thank all of the staff for making my aunt's life a very important part of their job, and I will always recommend Pacifica Northridge assisted living for those seeking a safe and honorable place to move their loved ones, thank you. My 93 year-old mother suffered from a number of age-related physical and mental ailments. It was emotionally devastating to witness her decline and be unable to care for her properly at home. Once we realized that Mom needed 24-hour supervision, we chose Pacifica Senior Living Northridge, after visiting and researching several different senior facilities. Pacifica's memory care programs (often including music, which Mom thoroughly enjoyed) engaged Mom during the day, giving her pleasure and a quality of life in her last challenging year. But what really made Pacifica Northridge special was the commitment and attentiveness of its staff, including management, who made an effort to get to know us personally and who treated Mom with care and dignity. Although Mom has passed now, my family and I were able to rest easily knowing that Pacifica Northridge and its excellent personnel took great care of her when she needed it most.
