Sunrise of Lynn Valley is so beautiful and the staff are extraordinary - they have become extended family! I am so grateful for the care and support, to me, my family and my Dad! I can relax and no longer worry, knowing that he has the best possible care, and such a lovely environment. His health has improved since moving there! I’ve worked with Sunrise Senior Living in Lynn Valley for over 17 years through my hearing care practice, and I can honestly say the team there is absolutely amazing. Sepideh’s leadership really sets the tone, and you can see that reflected throughout the entire community. From management to front desk, recreation, and maintenance, every department is over the top great at what they do. The nursing and care team deserve a special mention. Ron, Estrillita, and Sukhman are exceptional, and even though I’m naming a few, the entire care team is truly outstanding. They are compassionate, attentive, and go above and beyond every single day for their residents. Lisa Warren also does an incredible job staying connected in the community and finding ways to support and improve the lives of seniors. That community focus really stands out. Sunrise was one of the very first care communities I worked with, and from day one the staff have always been welcoming and supportive, especially when it comes to helping residents with their hearing loss. It’s always a pleasure to be there. Highly recommend.

Sunrise Lynn Valley is a magical world because of the property, the incredible caring staff & Lisa Warren. We had a most wonderful meeting, tour & treats to boot. Lisa is so very patient kind and knowledgeable for all Lynn Valley Team, the Residents and those seeking new communities for their ailing loved ones. The staff at Sunrise are so kind. My mother in law, Olga, feels so loved and well- cared for. Even though we were not participating in the Christmas luncheon today, we were offered drinks and desserts to have in her room. That was very kind. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and a staff member showed my grandson the toyroom I had no idea it was there! Thank you for all you do for every resident. All the best in 2026! Patti

My Dad recently moved into the memory care unit at Sunrise. I can’t say enough about the care and attention he is receiving. There are a lot of activities that he is really enjoying. He’s surprised his family by settling in despite his reluctance to move into care. He asks to go home but he is starting to be less adamant about leaving. I’m not giving a 5 star review because the process of visiting my Dad is extremely frustrating. You have to buzz to get into the underground parking lot. There are times that the lot is full. If this is the case, you have to park at the recreation centre parking lot across Lynn Valley Road. Once you get into the lot, you have to buzz to get to the ground floor. After you sign in, the concierge has to phone and let them know you are on your way. When one of the 2 elevators arrives (often very slow because you can’t use the stairs). The concierge has to put the code in to let you upstairs. The process is repeated with the exception that the underground door opens when you get close. They will not give out the code to family members because they have had cases where the code was shared and they had visitors that they did not know. There is also the potential that visitors may let memory care residents out with them. My Dad’s wife was in Amica and we signed to get a fob to use in the elevator that we returned when we left. My mother-in-law is in care in Surrey and family are given a code for visiting. Sunrise needs to come up with a solution for families visiting. I ride my bike sometimes but they don’t have a bike rack. Hopefully they will install one.

My mom Eve was a resident at Sunrise for the past 4.5 years. From the time that she became part of the community until her recent passing, the staff members and team showed exceptional care for her. From the front desk staff to the nursing team, I felt that my mom's social, emotional and physicals needs were considered. Special recognition goes to Ron, the resident care coordinator, for his communication and to Brenda, the activities coordinator, for always making sure that my mom felt included and welcomed. I loved receiving photos of her on their app - from bingo, to arts and crafts, reading with kids and outings on the bus - her days were filled with things and people that brought a smile to her face. Thank you Sunrise.

My Dad had a very positive experience at Sunrise Lynn Valley, where he stayed for a few months on a Wellness Retreat from May-August 2024. He had just come out of the hospital and was unable to return home. Our family needed to find Dad a place in a short time and Sunrise was able to welcome him very quickly with a furnished and comfortable suite that was ready for him to move in right away. The Wellness Retreat was a relief because it was a positive, healthy and safe place for Dad to rehabilitate and gain strength while also giving our Mom a caregiver break. It also allowed our family time to plan for the next steps in Dad's care. My Dad's favourite things at Sunrise were the warm and caring staff who attended to him, the food and the level of cleanliness everywhere in the building. For activities, he loved the scenic tours and the live musical performances and sing alongs. When my Dad left Sunrise the staff was genuinely sad to see him go and told him he would be welcomed back at anytime. If you are looking for a temporary or long term place for your loved one, I would definitely recommend Sunrise for exceptional care in a beautiful, warm and caring environment.

From the day Dad moved in until the day we were sadly packing up his stuff, we found everyone on staff to be very friendly and always helpful. By day two, everyone knew his name and it wasn't long before they became much more than just "staff". Thank you to everyone who looked after our Dad and made him feel that Sunrise was his home and the people there were his friends.

From Lisa to Ron to Christina & Christine have all be fantastic. Everybody worked really hard to get my Mom in on short notice, when LGH suddenly said she had to be out. Everyone has been so welcoming and accommodating and we are really pleased with the choice we made with Sunrise. Now if we could just get my Mom to be a little less negative about life ™

My mum suffered from dementia- I always felt she was well looked after and loved while at sunrise. I had moved her from a similar residence in Mtl and it was night and day the level of care - so much better at sunrise (although cost was more). Sunrise proactively kept in touch with me where the other residence never did. Highly recommend Sunrise for anyone looking to place their family member in a loving safe environment . The staff are all amazing.

Care managers are amazing, they work so hard. But not getting paid enough for all the things they do. Should have more CM on site and have less residents to look after. BOC and ED mostly get the credit for what CM do.

My uncle moved into Sunrise of Lynn Valley a couple of months ago and he is thriving! I love how friendly the staff are and I rest assured knowing that he is safe, comfortable and happy. He has made a friend he eats dinner with every night. Thanks you Sunrise of Lynn Valley.

The staff that work directly with the residents are phenomenal. The Care Manager, the Activities Coordinator and the the front of house’ (reception etc ) are extraordinary. They were loving and so caring with my Mom, Nell Turner. The meals could be more interesting and healthier. There are a lot of carbohydrates ie breaded chicken in butter chicken sauce on white rice, ice berg lettuce and canned mandarins, and an eclair was the meal we shared with Mom. Sunrise was brilliant in instituting a 4 pm Happy Hour where white wine and other options were served during and after the pandemic. I noticed that it gave the residents a reason to come together just before dinner and there was always laughing. I am sorry that it is cut back to only Wednesdays I think. It was money well spent. Mom loved it. When Mom died the care teams could not have been more loving, caring or professional. They were beyond kind to not only Moms body which was also treated with dignity, but to her family. The staff working directly with the residents I would rate 15/10. I found working with management and accounting, and how to show gratitude to Mom’s care staff unclear and frustrating. I also found conflicting messages from in clearing out Mom’s apartment. Here again though, those working directly with us ie the Care Manager and Sales Manager were amazing and practical. As in almost every organization, those removed from the delivery end of the service can lose touch. Sunrise is private care. There was no availability in publicly subsidized care when Mom needed it. It is very expensive. In Mom’s case she had the sale of her house. Overall, my 4 brothers and I were very grateful for the loving, kind and very professional care that our Mom received.

I can’t say enough good things about Sunrise Lynn Valley. We have had to move both of my parents there - one in resident care and one in reminiscence. The staff goes above and beyond to show their care and compassion for residents. Ever since I first set foot in Sunrise I knew it was a special place and I appreciate the warm welcome that was given to my family. Thank you for everything!

My siblings and I feel privileged to have our 91 year old Mom at Sunrise Senior Living in Lynn Valley. The building environment is very warm welcoming and cozy. The staff are very professional kind and caring. The team is very open to working with us as a family and as a result my mom feels safe and secure. We appreciate the multi level of care options which means we don't have to move her from assisted-living to long-term care to potentially palliative care. Lots of activity opportunities and bus trips which my mom thoroughly enjoys. Even though she's in a wheelchair, the staff make a real effort to provide opportunities and outings so that she can join in. We enjoy having a meal with mom in the dining room with fresh, quality food at tables with table cloths The backyard garden is lovely in the spring and summer and the residents thoroughly enjoy the garden boxes, outdoor picnics and barbeques. Music is a huge offering at Sunrise in Lynn Valley which my mom very much responds to. She even enjoys the resident dogs that are made to feel very much part of the family. I encourage you and your family to tour this beautiful, caring facility. It gives incredible peace of mind when you know that your love one is being very well taken care of in a safe, secure, very clean and stimulating environment.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this community has been for my 87 year-old mother. Every member of the staff has been incredibly kind, supportive, and professional and the facility itself is top-notch. My experience with Sunrise has been exemplary in every respect.
